A tall and slender shadow creature, suspended in the air by the tendril-like arms that extend out its back.

A gold egg sits high up in the branches of a nearby oak tree.

Montare hid behind a nearby tree, having hidden after seeing what was guarding the eighth egg. He began to move cautiously towards the tree the egg was in, his daggers in his hands. Montare knew that he'd need to have been extremely lucky to get the egg without being noticed, and as such was as ready as he could be if the creature suddenly lunged out at him.

The creature didn't move or raise its head as the boy approached, silent as a shadow.

It just raised one of those tendril like arms and let it fly toward him. The spider-like arm extended, whistling through the forest, and impaled itself into one of the trees by Montare's head.

Before you could blink, another arm came flying toward him, fast as a bullet.

Montare quickly swung his arm around, the blade of his dagger deflecting the second tendril. He turned to face the creature, but rather than charge at it, he stayed where he was, waiting for the creature to make the first move.

The monster finally raised its head, as if the boy had caught its attention.

Its tendril retracted, deflected, but quickly came speeding back again, looking to skewer the boy through his mouth.

Montare once again swung his dagger at the tendril as it came hurtling at his mouth. Rather than continue to repeat himself by waiting again, he instead began shifting into a fully grown wolf, being vulnerable for a moment.

Special Effect: Gaining ability to use gift attacks in exchange for all physical attacks except for cheap, block, and dodge.

As fast as his transformation into a wolf might have been, the monster's arms were faster. A tendril came swinging through the air, knocking into his side and sending him flying sideways into the underbrush, with an impact like a freight train. That would leave a bruise. More arms raised above his newly changed body, poised to strike a killing blow.

After leaving the office, there was chatter about a boy who went to face off against some sort of monstrous creature. Miyoshi was intrigued with this, & decided to head to the forest area. He saw this as the perfect opportunity to get a second egg, even if it meant he had to fight for it. After making to the forest, the creature had sent him flying into the underbrush. "Hmph. This guy looks like he could need some help." Miyoshi walked in between the shrubs and trees behind the monster seeing the perfect time to strike.

Keirsta had gone out to find another egg, and upon going towards the forest, caught the glimpse of another egg in the high trees. Looks like there'll be something good to these classes. She thought, climbing one of the trees farther away and leaping about them. Her eyesight was surely improved, and her hopping about had been empowered by her gift. Miniature bridges of light blue hues had been built to save her from falling ever so often, and when she was within the facinity of that golden egg, she swiped it up quickly.

Miyoshi had been watching the two fight countless for hours, then suddenly he heard rustling throguh the trees above him. Suspicious enough he went to go check it out. So he leaped up from branches until he made it to the tree top. Once making it to the top he noticed a mysterious student just standing there. "Hey... what are you doing up here snooping." He stood in a battle stance while trying to balance himself on the top of the tree.

Montare lay on the ground in the form of a wolf after being struck by the tendril, but quickly got back up, facing the creature. He rushed towards the monster, before trying to jump at it and tackle it to the ground. Now, Montare didn't even care about the egg. Instead, he cared about surviving his encounter with what was guarding it.

An arm shot out into the oak tree Keirsta and Miyoshi were standing in. It buried itself deep into the bark, sharp as a sword, extended out from the monster's back.

Another shot out into the trunk, and another, and another. Montare, now in his wolf form, leaped, and the shadow creature stepped back on those spindly legs

The monster wrenched the tree forward, pulling it out of the ground by its roots, and let it topple towards the shapeshifter on the ground. As they began to fall, another arm shot out, and with pinpoint accuracy blasted the egg out of Keirsta's hand.

Special Effect: I messed up last time and fixed HP accordingly. Power attacks do -100 damage for Level 4s, not -85. Recoil is 20.
