| Water soon began filling the humid lungs and he panicked. No no no no no! He was soon ejected, still in gas form, shaken by the forced ejection. This next course of action had to be good or he’d lose this fight. He couldn’t change back now; that’d be the death of him. The walls trapped him in water, he wouldn’t be able to win here.
The walls. Yes, brilliant! His blurred gaze fixated on the high cliffs and he floated towards the nearest wall, searching for a ledge big enough to sit on. There, thirty feet above the water a clump of scraggly bushes that appeared somewhat upright growing from a dusty outcrop. Gently rising and settling among them, Heron sat and took a deep breath. Never would he want to be in that situation ever again. Thinking of another plan his opponent wouldn’t expect was becoming harder and harder.
A few moments of quick thought allowed a rough plan to form. The powder pouches grouped at his side were useless, but they were still, strictly speaking, the same substance as they were before. He poured out the disgustingly smelly contents over the edge and wrung out the small drawstring bag before forcing the opening to be wide as possible. Taking a pinch of the yellow dust that didn’t quite make it off the edge, he held it to his dark hair, to which it yellowed and began to weakly smell like egg. When he was done, a pile of sulfur was in the bag he had laid out, even overflowing. He did this with the other side of his head into another bag until he was completely bald, and for a moment it saddened him that his head felt so cold now.
It was extremely odorous, surely she had noticed by now? His third bag turned out to still be in good shape, and he used the contents on the frail bushes, dusting them with the yellow substance. Behind them had been a small crack in the rock big enough to fit himself into served as a spot to test something. He picked up a small piece of flint off the ground and held it to his hand; which he had turned to metal plate from the brass button on his pants, and struck. Sparks flew, hitting the back of the tiny cave. Emerging, he waved the metal plate in the air, making a loud WUBWUB noise.
Ooc- how do you write that sound. how.

| Now where was he? Her blue eyes flickered across the surface of the water, trying to locate her opponent. What, had he become chicken and was hiding. A small laugh escaped from her, which sounded weird coming from her wyvern form. That won't save him, she thought before frowning. A few things seemed to bother her as she attempted to answer them. The first that she had to wonder what weapon he had...She had thought maybe a sword or dagger but that could if been steel to transform into...Maybe he didn't have one?
The second thought that brothers her was that she was struggling to recall what wyverns could do. She was sure they couldn't breath fire - a quick test confirmed that. So what could she do? It was a breath weapon she was sure, but she had never spent to much time worrying about what wyverns could do! She never thought she would be on. She shook her head, before freezing. Ugh, what was that foul scent? Perhaps it was her keener sense of smell but she was sure she smelled rotten eggs...That was weird...
Her wings flapped as she took higher, taking note that the scent was getting stronger with each flap. She soon paused as she shook her head, her eyes flashing for a moment. It seemed her form really didn't like the rotten eggs when she became aware of a faint almost green gas exit her mouth from her quick slip of control. Her eyes narrowed for a second before an almost slasher grin appeared on her face. Now she had a good idea of the breath weapon she held. A sound from above caugh her attention, causing her to resume her flight upward. She soon found the edge that Heron was hiding on. The smell was revolting at this point, but she attemped to pay no heed to it as she floated near him.
She stared at him and his bag for just a second to judge her aim before she flapped her wings hard to suddenly spin in the air; attempting to swipe Heron off his ledge with her large barbed tail and hoping her aim would leave little room for him to dodge - to take him by surpise even before he could take another form. And if that didn't work, she has her breath weapon.

| The steady flap of wings assured him that she was, unknowingly, following his plan perfectly. Soon her head appeared over the edge and then the rest of her body. Her barbed tail was swinging towards him and Heron knew he had to act fast. Striking the dark flint across his metal hand again, sparks flew across the short makeshift sulfur fuse that lead straight to the clump of very combustible bushes. A few small explosions could be heard, then FWOOOSH. The barely alive bushes were aflame, casting tongues of fire into the sky. She shouldn’t be able to reach him now; she didn’t have hands to even try to put out the flames.
The tail still swung true, however, and he was flung, not over the edge, but into the stone wall. A gash appeared on his shoulder and he held it to stop the blood flowing down his arm. The heat and the smoke weren’t helping to distract him from the pain. At least he didn’t have hair anymore that might have caught fire itself. In this damp environment, the sheer amount of smoke was to be expected, and visibility became even lower. He didn’t dare make a pun now, for one it would reveal his position, and two, he’d inhale the smoke.
Grunting in pain, the boy reached his hand toward the burning bush and stuck his metal hand into the thick black smoke. Soon enough he was one with it. It felt incredibly dirty and hot, like hell in a way. Or something else if you really have that sort of mind. He broke free from the heat and searched for Wyvern-Hosea, easily finding, and sailing swiftly towards her. He wouldn’t pull the lung thing, she’d just attempt to drown herself again. No, this time he got in her eyes, putting as much surface area on those blue orbs.

| The sudden explosion of fire had taken her by surpise although she didn't stop her tail swung. She felt herself cut his flesh but the flames did little to her scaled body as she flapped her wings to escape part of most of the smoke. Her eyes stared at the smoke and flames, unable to make out what was behind the burning bushes. A growled rose in her throat as her tailed lashes, sending flickers of Heron's blood into the water below.
She frowned as she attemped to come up with an idea of what to do, half temped to just stamp the flames out with her feet. However, movement caught her eye causing her to stare intently at the flames; only to seconds later get smoke flying straight for her face. She barely had time to react before smoke!Heron was in her eyes, causing them to burn as she shook her head with a roar. Her wings flapped harder in an attempted to push the smoke away with the created gusts of winds before turning and dived downward away from the flames and smoke.
Her eyes were closed; burning from the smoke as she doved wildly in hopes of reaching a safe place; the water below. Her eyes barely flickered open for just a second to let her know to slow herself down. Her falling speed decreased just before she sent under the waves. The smoke had burned her eyes, but she had to hope that the water would protect her. She stayed under as long as she could until once more her lungs ached and he resurfaced with a gasp and a deep growl rising in her thought. Her eyes were open to slits; as they stilled burned but also because anger was rising up in her.
So he wanted to play dirty, huh? A green gas - slightly like mist - left her mouth as she snarled as she stared up at the burning bushes above. Raising her head skyward, she let out a rage-filled scream/roar toward the heavens as the gas came billowing out of her mouth and gathering around her above the waters. It would be almost impossible for him to get close in his human form as the gas that surrounded her - which she was of course immuned to - was a poison gas that wyverns were able to breath. It had been a last resort really, but she wanted this fight over now.

| Barely able to see through himself, he thought he saw a thick green gas settled at the bottom of the chasm-like cliffs, surrounding a large, dark shape which he assumed was Hosa. He reformed at the edge of his platform right at the moment when she screeched. Covering his ears on instinct, he screamed back. In frustration he kicked the still burning embers off the edge, and upon touching the poisonous gas, sizzled and popped before hitting the water in soft plunks.
How was he supposed to win? Through sheer luck? Getting desperate for an answer, he flung himself off the edge of the platform, but not before shooting his arms out to become a spinning trident of rock hurtling towards the source of the problem. Maybe her sight had been impaired further and she couldn’t see past her own gas. Now rock Heron was aiming to hit the wyvern anywhere, the priority being her neck and chest. If he missed his mark, the water would be there to catch him, and it wouldn’t hurt much… right?

| Her eyes had been focused above her, quickly taking notice of a shape diving off the ledge; before growing larger. Her eyes widened quickly as she suddendly turned the best she could and dove toward into the water but Heron was simply falling to fast. Sheer pain ripped though her body as an echoing scream escaped her lips and the water was turned red from the gushing of blood. She was alive, but he had torn a large gaping hole though her wing. Her body twisted and turned in the water, sending up waves as she turned and started to swim toward the closest rock to climb on.
Her wings flailed at the rock as she struggled to get on but she finally did so. Retreating farther in with a limp as she only had one wing to support her, she growled in pain as her tail lashes across the rock. A trail of blood smeared the stone slab as she came to a stop, her breath uneasy as she started at the damage Heron had done. It was a disgusting sight to behold. Blood oozed from her wound; but she knew she was luckily he had hit such a thin spot so only small veins had been broken. But it still hurt like hell. She slumped to the ground as she attemped to catch her breath but no way was she out of the fight yet. Her tail flickered to the side of her as she stared at her mist of poison, wondering how Herok was going to get out that mess.
Falling from that height even as a rock and having Hosa's wing to break the fall would hurt like hell as well...And would of been death as a human - so how would he fare back in his human form? Then his rock form would be sinking fast...Maybe he could save himself from drowning, but then what of the poison that lurked on the surface? A slasher grin appeared on Hosa's face e she forced herself upright slightly, sitting on her back legs while using her tail as balance as her torn wing hung limply at her side. She could survive for longer...But could Heron? With a deep laugh followed by a might roar, more poison gas bellowed forth and started to surround her as her eyes remained on the blood-dyed water; wondering what Heron could do.

| He crashed into the water, unsure if he had actually hit her. The impact would have knocked the wind out of him, permanently, if he hadn’t been a solid rock. Keeping his nose and mouth under the surface, he rose in a human form to peer at her, eyes squinted. He couldn’t tell what this green gas was, assuming it to be chlorine. Not good. After merely a second his dark eyes began to burn and he was forced to submerge again. In moments, he was gone.
Yet again, water Heron made an appearance. Scooping up sharp pebbles with the current he was creating, he slowly accumulated power, reaching the shoreline in a three meter wave; the rocks traveling at such a speed that they flew towards her face in a wide arc. This seemed to be her only weak point besides the wings. He slapped against her scales and quickly retreated back into the pool. Fish, taken hostage along with the rocks, flopped helplessly on the stone before dying from the poisonous gas.

| More rocks? Was this all he could send her way? She had seen the wave and had manged to turn so the rocks bounced across her sides; sending pain flashing though her body. She watched him retreat as she stumbled backwards slightly, taking note of the small trickles of blood that came from where the sharp rocks had manged to piece her scales. Her gaze then flickered to the dying fish, before sweeping them into the water with a flicker of her tail. No sense having them clog up the rock space she was on. Her gaze scanned the water before letting out an angry snort as she flapped her good wing. "It this all you can do?" she said, although her body did ache from the abuse she was slowly gaining as this body went on. "This is a waste of our time! I say just give up; its clear you are hopeless when it comes to winning!" She paused before retreating farther into the rock, before taking place in the middle as she breathed out more of her poisonous breath. But instead of relaxing as she had before, she remained on her toes; ready for whatever Heron was about to throw her way - even if it was just going to be more rocks or not. No matter how long this battle was going to take, she was going to make sure she was the last one standing at the end of this all. Or at least, proclaimed the winner at the end. | |

| Heron rose above the gas as normal air, settling above the poison. He gritted his teeth. “It’s not me that is hopeless, it’s the situation I’m in.” The tiny bush next to him was in danger of being kicked by a frustrated kid. There seemed to be no way to win now, not one of his ideas would work. Wanting to scream, he started throwing random objects around him towards Hosa and the gas. Sticks, stones, a frog, etc.
Sitting with his legs over the edge he sighed and tried calming down. The fire above him had died out long ago, choking her again would just kill himself, and if this was chlorine as he’d thought, he was doomed. Getting up and backing away from the edge, the boy crouched next to a small stick. He set it aflame, just enough to keep it from going out, then had it sail over the edge and into the gas. If this was something other than chlorine, this could be his chance to win. Otherwise he'd have to forfeit.

| Hosa was pacing back and forth in the gas, having not heard his response but had spotted him on the ledge as he tried in vain to throw some things down....Was that a frog? Her eyes had followed the frog sailing down, but after it disappeared into the gas, she went back up onto looking at Heron. So, what was he going to do? Then something else we sailing off the edge - but perhaps not for the light it gave off, she might not have realized what it was. Her eyes widen before stumbling backwards, flapping her good wing hard to send some of the gas around her away, before turning and attempting to make a run for it.
She was so close to the edge when the flaming stick hit the gas and created an explosion. The chain reaction of all of the gas igniting happened suddenly creating a huge fireball of expanding hit - maybe even Heron was not save from the smoldering heat as it rose upwards. Hosa had disappeared from the rock when the explosion happened as the sheer force of it had send her over the edge into the water below. Her back had been seared from the flames, but the cool water soothed her burned scales as chaos erupted above her as she sunk under the waves. While the explosions soon died from nothing else than the gas it had just combusted from keeping it burning - steam rose up from the great heat meeting the water causing Heron's view to be blocked from what was going on below.
Hosa resurfaced with a gasp, but she could barely seen anything in front of her with the thick steam - although it was rising toward Heron which was good. After flailing around in the water, she manged to find the rock and scamper her way back on before taking a few steps before sinking to the rock below. Her whole body ached, which wasn't to be surprising by what had just happened. She was sure she might of cracked a rip or two by that fall into water, but other then that and the burning feeling she had in the scales on her back and tail, she was pretty alright...Not counting the hole in her wing, the gash on her shoulder, and the faint wounds that Heron had manged to do with those pointed rock.
With the steam covering her for now, she decided to take the moment to catch her breath and check herself over. Her shoulder wound had almost stopped bleeding completely, although it had reopened slightly with her struggle to get on the rock but also hitting the water like she had so that hurt. Her wing was the worst of it all, with the gaping hole still being a disgusted sight - not like she could really see it with all of the steam. Her cells were already hard at work stopping the bleeding, and with how little the blood vessels had been...While the amount of blood had been great at first with all of the little vessels, she had a feeling that she was good when it came to that. Then there was the wounds caused by those tiny sharp rocks. Those were working on being closed already but one more the blood spilled was little. Even if it had stuck her face, it would of hurt like hell but wouldn't have done much damage...If they hadn't stuck her eyes. Then she would be in more trouble. As she laid there, however, she decided to go over the wounds that she could feel from the explosion. Those itself wasn't much either, with her ribs hurting like hell and her back burning but she knew she was lucky. If she was any other form than with scales she would of been in more trouble as her skin itself had been saved from the heat and flames. But her wounds were slowly adding up, so she was thankful for what seemed like a moment to rest.
Now, however, she had to wonder how Heron was doing...Her eyes flickered up in the direction she thought the ledge was. The heat had been sent in all directions; had he been spared by it? But then, even if he had, what could he do now? It was impossible to see anything with the great amount of stream that had created by that fireball. She did know that Heron would be aware that she barely survived - as she knew that if she had been in the center of her gas...Her scales couldn't have protected her from that much fire and heat for sure. She had simply been luckily she had been watching him and saw him throw that stick. She almost wanted to let out a laugh. You know...Maybe she didn't care that this fight had been going on for what seemed like forever. It was creative, fun...Perhaps she would try to meet Heron outside of the battlefield. This was a good fight to be sure - she had thought this fight would of been an easy win!
She forced herself to her back feet as she sat up on them, her tail once more being used for support as she flapped her good wing and let out a good-hearted roar toward the skies. She doubted words themselves would fail to carry from the steam to wherever Heron was, so she had to hope she would understand that her roar did not carry anger or malice - it was a show that she had enjoyed this fight so far and was praising him for his good effort. It was her way of saying 'Good game!' When she was done, she let out a happy sigh as she relaxed slightly, but remained ready to move on a moment's notice. It seemed like the end, but Heron had been creative so far...But it would be almost impossible to attack with all of this steam around and even hard for him to even attempt to find her. She was half tempted to billow poisonous gas everywhere once more but...While it would be impossible for him to know about it, she decided that after what had just unfolded...She was going to hold out on that. Besides, it really did seem like the end with so little options for either of them left. Hosa knew she could find more ways to go on - shapeshifting to attempt to find a new way of reaching him...Her body ached, but she could carry on. But could Heron carry on fighting with so little options for him left to do?

| OOC- I’m so sorry I just woke up ;-;
Heron leaped back in surprise when a huge fireball exploded below him. The heat burned his skin enough to make him cry out in pain; the stone form he took on didn’t relieve much at all. The heat rose, forcing him to stay petrified to live. The steam made his already blurry “rock vision” blind to everything beyond a foot radius. It became too painful to bear and he threw himself over the edge, into the steaming water, sinking to the bottom. The surface scalded even the rock Heron, the water hot until he reached the pebbles.
Water Heron made an appearance again, gently gliding along the rocks in the “cool” zone. He waited there until he was able to go to the surface without boiling alive. When he could, his dark hair bobbed above the surface and gazes around for any sight of Hosa. He didn’t have to look when she gave a good-hearted roar. Heron broke into a confused grin and shouted. “Great fight! It’s not over yet, but so far it’s been exciting!”
Back to business. It felt weird that after sharing such a friendly exchange, they’d still have to fight. The boy slipped under the water again, becoming it, and making his way to the wyvern stealthily. Once behind her, he untransformed, then made his fists rock-hard, literally. He brought one down on her barbed tail, and another aimed for her pelvis.
Ooc2- i'll post later today to make sure this timing doesn't happen again.

| Hosa didn't see Heron coming, only being aware when his first blow came down on her tail. Pain flashed though her as her scales crackled slightly, blood dripping as she moved forward, causing his other fist to just barely miss her. She spun, her eyes glimmering as she stared at her opponent as her tail swished back and forth. "Let's try to end it now!" she cried, her eyes glimmering as stared at him. In a quick moment, she lunched forward at him with a roar as she slashed her huge claws at him - even billowing poison gas his way just to be extra careful. She was out to win this; Heron was going to fall sooner or later. | |

| Stop the Match! This illusion has gone on for too long. All wounds were healed, everything restored. Bickering between the judges has happened and it's been decided that Hosa is the winner!
Congratulations! | |
