Waving around the sparkler, Richard stopped when Brailynn suddenly took her stance. Raising his eyebrows before giving her a goofy smile he turned slightly to the side and held out his sparkler towards her. "En, uh... you too!" he replied stupidly before lightly hitting his sparkler against hers like they were fencing foils. Fencing certainly wasn't anything he'd done before but that didn't matter... right? He really hoped it didn't. "I really hope you have more sparklers because I think mine's about to run out." It wasn't exactly true since it was one of the longer ones, but he really wanted to light some more after this one was done. He really enjoyed Lynn's company and if this was a way to keep talking to her, he was going to do it. Besides, she was really the only friend he had on campus.
Silly Jace. Was he really expecting her to try to fight back? She would have been completely okay with him just picking her up and slinging her over his shoulder and drag her into the lake, but he started pushing her back and she couldn't help but laugh before going along with his game. She tried pushing against him, flailing her arms and digging her feet into the sand, but it was no use. she kept stumbling backwards closer to the water. "Me mad? No way!" she replied as she kept "trying" to push him from where they came. Then she finally stepped back to where the small waves of the lake lapped against her heels and she almost jumped out of her skin from the temperature difference. She was expecting it to be cooler but not that cold. Maybe she should kind of fight back. "Okay, you're not getting me into that water!" she demanded, placing her hands on his bare chest and pushing him backwards even though it didn't seem to do much. She really needed to work out...
