Fields of green [O p E n ]

All she could see were tall green trees. Aspen blinked, feeling beads of sweat dropping from her forehead and slowly falling towards her cheeks. She never thought that this forest would be so dense, so deep.. The autumn was only wandering around for a few mer moments and she already found herself lost. There wasn't anywhere too turn, no clear path of how too get back too the school. All she saw were twisting paths, tangled tree roots and the bright golden sun that hung in the sky. The autumn wasn't sure how long she was out here for, wandering around helplessly. Everytime she glanced towards the sky it looked like time had stopped moving, all the clouds stopped their slow movements and the sun continued too beam down, letting down it's mighty hot sun-rays. Maybe the best plan was just too sit down and relax a little, but this was bad she had too find an exit first then maybe she could consider the relaxing. The autumn continued too walk through the dense forest, a nervous look was clear in her light purple eyes as she bit her lip.

The forest seemed too go on forever, there was no end too it. Maybe one of her dorm-mates would come looking for her? But she couldn't just stand and wait she didn't even tell anyone where she was going, what a stupid mistake. Aspen had let out a sigh, irritated that she got herself tangled into this mess. She didn't bring anything she didn't expect too get lost, she knew the forest was big and tricky but she never expected this.. The autumn didn't want too waste her energy, she could find her way on her own she didn't need her clones too help her.

As the autumn continued too wander, she was oblivious that she was only traveling deeper into the forest. She didn't even notice that a large shadow was tailing her. The autumn was too focused on finding a way out other then too worry about the hidden dangers of this forest. Although Aspen finally started catching on, her eyes narrowed too their corners as she heard a low hostile growling. Was it an animal? Or a beast or maybe just some idiot trying too trick her.

"Hey why don't you come out?" The autumn had asked trying too hide the urgency in her tone. Biting her lip harder as she stood in the cold silence of the forest only been able too hear the wind, the bugs and the growling of a beast that lurked nearby. Aspen scoffed her eyes narrowing. "I said too come out!" She had yelled it this time her eyes watching her surroundings nervously.

It happened all so quickly, all she saw was something big and brown and a loud roar as it came towards her with intense speed. Aspen didn't have time too think, she cried out in pain as she was tossed aside, her back slamming into a nearby tree. The autumn winced in pain, her body trembled as she slowly got up although she was cornered she had her back on the tree and a wild beast with a nasty look in it's eyes in front of her. Scowling in anger Aspen had attempted too walk forward but was in shock as she discovered her left leg was completely broken from the force.

The girls eyes had turned big, she realized she couldn't do anything in this state. Aspen looked at the beast in anger, what exactly was it anyways? It looked like a grizzly bear but never in her life did she see one that giant. No one was around was this the end? The autumn's eyes shut tight, never in her life did she feel so helpless all she could do was hope somebody would come too her rescue.

Modem was not stalking the girl, he would swear on his life he wasn't. Stalking wasn't really his thing. No, Modem was sitting in a tall, large trunked tree that blended in with the rest but was not there before. The lusciously green leaves of the tree curled around him like adoring lovers, caressing his pale skin. He was hidden from view and growing random flowers for a headband. You can still be bad ass and wear flowers, right? He wouldn't risk it outside of his tree.

And then he heard a growl. With a flash he stood, peering through the leaves that had hidden him. Time slowed as he saw a bear -- or something -- heading straight to a cowering girl. Kinda pathetic, but he was a king who saved damsels. Ha. Zombie Queen would give him a look for that one.

With only a second delay, Modem acted in his rescue. With a large, long, loud howl to draw the animal's attention, Modem spawned thick, thorny vines around the animals feet. He managed to only get a hold of one, but it was enough to latch on to. The vine already attacked wrapped around and around, tighter and tighter. The bear was forced to stop, as he was tripped, and viciously struggled to get free. With the bear stilled as close to unmoving as possible, Modem wrapped his vines fastly around the other legs. More and more vines snaked up the bear, wrapping it in a cocoon like a furry catepillar. Now, he turned his attention to the girl.

He leaned down and, using another vine, lowered to slightly above the girl. Stretching out his hand, he looked at her with red intensity. "Take my hand!" He ordered briskly.

What was with her today? She had signed up and participated in the summer tournament, so why was she freezing up now? When she was faced with actual danger not some weird mirage thing. The autumn's fist clenched up in frustration, she didn't like using her gift much not that it was anything special but it was tiring and it didn't last very long either. Aspen glanced around her near surroundings, she wasn't just gonna be a sitting duck she might as well try too beat it. The autumn grabbed the first thing she saw which was a stick, and with all her force she rammed it into the creatures muzzle only for it too roar in anger.

Aspen blinked, hearing another howl. It was terrifying she couldn't deal with two of these horrifying creatures, just one of them was a handful. How in the world would she survive if there were two of these things? Gritting her teeth the blonde glanced around the trees, expecting another beast too jump at her but was completely shocked when it was another student that made the sound instead of a wild animal. She watched in awe, as plants had sprouted magically and wrapped the bear in a large cocoon thing. She could hear it trying too get out, and it terrified her, who wouldn't be scared of a huge bear trying too kill you.

She saw a long vine spiraling down towards her, of corse her first instinct was too grab it tightly she didn't need the other guy telling her that. Leaning forwards too grab the thin plant in both of her hands and grasping it tightly. "T-thank you.."

Another person arrived a few seconds later after the plant growing boy had spoken to the wounded girl. A flash of white signified his arrival. In his hands was his trench knives, and a frown decorated his face. The prefect had been practicing his own powers when he heard the commotion. Luckily then, he had his wings out, and got there quickly. Observing the vines around the bear, he glanced back toward the other two. "Can you make it out carrying her?" She looked to be in extreme pain, and the wound on her leg looked ugly already. One of them would have to stay behind to let the bear go, it wasn't right to leave it like that. Especially if it was a mother bear, it would be wrong to kill it. Who knows if it had cubs? Leo knew he could loosen the vines for the bear to get out of, then escape, but he would also be able to carry the girl back. Whichever one the boy picked, he would do the other. Seeing him help her out, Leo turned back to the bear to figure out the least dangerous way to let it go.

All she had heard was silence for the longest moments, it had startled her. She didn't know what was happening her mind wasn't able too focus, with a soft groan the autumn had slowly opened her eyes but was only greeted by blurry vision. The girl blinked when a huge flashy light had passed by her, she was able to make out a pair of wings but she wasn't sure about anything else. Aspen glanced towards the bear as she had heard the two arguing she had too agree with Leo what if this bear did have some Cubs? It was illegal to kill a bear back at her state anyways. Although Modem had a good point as well, it did try too kill her and would be in a act of self defense. The bear did try too kill her out of nowhere, her head throbbed as she continued thinking, at this point she didn't even care kill the stupid thing just get her out of here. "L-lets all j-just l-leave"

Sighing at the red eyed boy's words, the angel boy turned to face him, a partially annoyed look on his face. "Look, I'll say this again." Leo's voice held a sharp edge, which could be accounted to his annoyance. They didn't have time to fight. "Can you carry her out of the forest?" After a moment to let the question sink in, he continued. "Once you get a safe distance away, I'll cut the bear free, and lead it away from you two." His blue eyes traveled to the wound before a frown appeared on his angular face. She needed to get to the infirmary, quickly.

The autumn had let out a shaky sigh, were the two really arguing at a time like this? If she had the strength she would smack some sense into them. Closing her eyes, Aspen had tried too get some rest, try too calm down so her mind wouldn't get into shock from the loss of blood. The longer they stayed the more of a risk they would be in, what were the two thinking? Her eyelids had opened once again, only too gasp in pain as something had wrapped around her wound. Aspens teeth gritted tightly, her eyes shutting tightly with intense pain as she tried too endure it. With some shaky breaths it was quickly over, slowly opening her eyes once again Aspen had glanced towards her leg. She was slightly impressed on how quickly he was able too act and the pain wasn't too bad. Staring back towards Modem she slowly nodded as she attempted too get up. Being rather shaky on her feet, Aspen decided it was way too soon to walk on a broken leg as she settled back down again. "Come on.. Don't be stupid lets just leave, and let the bear go.."

Gently, Modem swooped the girl up in his arms, not saying a word. His lips were pressed into a tight line, his eyes staring straight ahead. No thanks? What a bitch. Keeping her close and supporting her wounded leg with his elbow, and took off at a steady pace, leaving fluffy boy behind while slowly closing the vines even tighter and thickening them.

Fluffy boy? What an odd nickname. He'd understand feather boy, or some other name like that. But fluffy? What a weird adjective to be known by. After a bit of thought, he supposed it could be due to his hair...It wasn't that fluffy, was it?

Leo wiped off any emotion he had on his face when the two left, his blue eyes turning to the bear, who seemed to be struggling as the vines grew thicker. Whoever the boy was, he had no understanding of how the forest worked. It was cruel to hurt an animal like this. Even if it had attacked the girl, he shouldn't put it down right away. There had to be a balance with the animals, killing one would still be detrimental to the ecosystem. Especially if the bear had cubs. With calculating eyes, the angel boy approached the animal, first, smoothly cutting through the vines on the violent animal's feet. Quickly, he moved to the back of the bear, cutting through the vines like butter. His trench knives glowing with a yellow aura indicating that he was using his holy powers to quicken the ordeal. Once the bear was freed from most of it's vines, Leo returned in front of it, set on distracting the animal away from the path that the two took.

From there, the bear was able to tear itself from the vines. Dark eyes settled on blue eyes, both unwavering. The bear launched a burly paw at the teen, who used his wings to back up and make some distance between he and the animal. Knowing he had the bear's attention, Leo put his wings up in the air, figuring it would make the bear think he was bigger than what he really was. A challenge between the two. It seemed the dark brown animal accepted the challenge and barreled forward at Leo. Who had been expecting it to charge forward, as that would be what most bears do. Leo pushed himself off the tree, and glided over the bear's head.

It followed after him, using the bear's anger to his advantage, the blond headed toward the lake, farther away from the school and Rosebury. After a few long minutes of taunting the animal to keep it interested in him, and weaving in and out of the trees, he made it to the lake, where he landed right on the edge. Where he waited for the animal to catch up. It wasn't that Leo was going to show it, but he had been pretty nervous that he was going to run into a tree and be in the same position as Aspen was in. Thankfully, his practicing in the forest was useful, as he didn't run into anything. The angel boy had cut it close once or twice.

The sound of huffing alerted the prefect to the arrival of the bear. With lips pressed together, he flew into the air with a few strokes of his wings, leaving the bear behind. Leo flew over the surface of the lake as he slowly turned back to the forest, and climbed to the hight to where he glided a safe distance from the treetops.

After a few minutes of searching, Leo caught up with the two students, landing a few feet behind them. "You guys still okay?" He asked calmly, as the angel boy fell instep beside Modem. His white wings disappearing as he touched the ground.
