Talking... Yeah.. Talking... Empty
PostSubject: Talking... Yeah.. Talking...   Talking... Yeah.. Talking... EmptySat Aug 15, 2015 6:30 pm

Magic was happily hanging out in his dorm when his brother showed up at his door. Vince said something about needing to talk.. He asked about what, and Vincent just shook his head, and said to follow him to the forest. Magic agreed to it. His brother seemed concerned.. It kind of concerned him.. He didn't know what was going to happen. He didn't even think about his brother finding out. He probably hoped he knew what was coming.

The two brothers found themselves in a clearing a bit ways from the school. Magic wondered what was so concerning they had to go into the forest and away from everyone else. That is when the brother spoke up. "Why didn't you get away from Aspen, and Lamia when you went violent?"

Magic froze. What? How did he know about that who told him? "What? I don't know what you are talking about.." Mason said hoping his brother would buy his story.. He didn't need to deal with this at the moment. The winter student stuffed his hands in his pockets trying to act casual.

Vince's eyes narrowed. "Bull shit." The younger brother said bluntly. "I know you. I know you tend to get really violent. I talked to someone one and they said that you tried hitting Aspen, and Lamia took the blow for her. You broke your girlfriend's arm didn't you?" Vince stood normal the only thing that seemed hostile was his expression. "So I will ask again, Why didn't you get away from them?" He said.

A hint of anger flashed on Magic's face. Who told him? "I tried to. I thought I was in an area that there would be no one else. Aspen appeared, then Barry... I tried to ignore them. They stood in the way of the exit next thing I know I try to punch Aspen, Lamia is there." He didn't mention the part when he tried to punch Barry. There wasn't really a purpose. "And she isn't my girlfriend."

Vincent clinched his hands into a fists. Trying to keep fire from appearing on him. "You could have gotten away.. you know that. You hurt your friends, and probably scared them. You almost hurt Aspen. You could have killed your friends.." He looked away from his brother. "Why do you have to be so fucking violent? Why couldn't you just listen to what mom said and not argue with her?!" He clenched his teeth feeling his hands get hot. "Why did you have to meet Laine?! If you didn't you wouldn't have been like this!" He shouted.

Magic stepped back a little bit as his brothers voice started to pick up. Standing that close to a shouting person hurt his ears.. He couldn't help but get a little angry at what his brother said. "Because Eve is a bitch. She never cared for me like she cared for you! Why did you always have to side with her? Huh?! I was always the mistake! Always the one that wasn't wanted! You never even tried to defend your brother! Always decided to be momma's boy!" Magic shouted back. The sound that was made as when the wind passed through the trees amplified a little bit. It became more obvious now. "Laine was the only one who cared about me after the incident! He thought my power was cool! He let me, be me! He taught me how to protect myself, and protect others through fighting!"

Momma's boy? Vincent's whole body tensed. He could see that his brother was tense too. This was getting out of hand but there was no stopping it now. "She did care for you! Thats why she didn't make you change schools after your friend's parents said too. She wanted you to stay with your friend. She convinced those families to not press charges as many young kids ended up in the hospital! All Laine ever did was teach you to fight out your emotions! He made you become a fighting machine!" Did he dare say it? Things were already so heated, there was nothing to stop from stuff spilling out.

"Don't you dare say it!"

"He made you a monster!" Vince finally shouted.

Magic was taken aback. He whole body relaxed in that moment, surprise and shock covered his face. His eyes suddenly grew dark. His stance changed. Mason lunged forward his fist pulled back amplified with sound. Once he  was close enough he let his arm fly forward.

Vincent saw it coming he knew that is how Magic started every fight. He also knew to not let himself be hit. The pyromancer jumped back, and put up a wall of fire between him and his brother. He didn't exactly control the fire all to well, for it caught on the trees, and burned the leaves and stuff. He couldn't bother with the few trees that were on fire. He had an angry sound man to worry about.

Magic now knew why his brother brought him out here. Vince knew that things could have turned violent and didn't want Magic around others but that wasn't going to stop his rampage. They were both pissed off now. And one of them was going to end up with some pain. Most likely both of them.

Mason stopped at the wall of fire. He was about to put it out when his brother came flying through, and socked Magic in the face. Vince stood up from his crouched over position to standing. Fire covered his arm that he just hit Magic with. Magic stepped back a bit from being hit from his brother the force wasn't too great, but his face burned like hell now. Mason touched his cheek with his hand only to feel a lot of heat from it and lots of stinging pain. He looked up at his brother with a glare, and let out a scream pushing his brother back and dimming the wall of fire that spread a little bit now.

Talking... Yeah.. Talking... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking... Yeah.. Talking...   Talking... Yeah.. Talking... EmptySat Aug 15, 2015 7:45 pm

The forest was deadly still. Above, the sunlight filtered through the canopy and birds chirped, flitting above the dense cluster of thin trees; the sky was painted a sickly pink color with streaks of blood red and bitter orange, the mountains jutting up from just a few distance. The only true signs of life was the passing breeze, bringing in an eerie whispering sound to the woods, carrying away debris with it -- and the girl sitting on the arching roots, a book cradled in her arms, long pale fingers grasping the corners gently as they flipped the pages with care. Golden, doe-like eyes lingered on the words, her mind absorbing each and every sentence as it was filled with images and adventures of another person in another world and their stories. Beside her feet were a shining pair of chakrams, hand-decorated to every silver detail on them to the glazed glint they reflected to the sun. Peace and quiet was something that the school couldn't offer and something she dearly missed from the silent nights on the balcony at the hotel.

Practicing end on end had the normal effect on her, only she had stopped much earlier than most would. Hours ago, all the circular blades would do was bounce back, off the bark. Now they made a satisfying thunk, chips of bark scattering onto the soil after each successful throw, the weapons flying and soaring back and forth like boomerangs in an endless cycle. Here she was, that same useless girl everyone thought she was, training in combat and imagining a few necks being cut open. That image was something she'd not normally think about, not at all. So why...??

After the vacation with Magic, it occurred to her that she clearly needed a thicker skin and to defend herself better. Especially with that mission she involuntarily signed up for as a prefect.

She had inwardly cursed, wishing and ridiculing her fate to somehow be chosen out of the few Winter girls to be the candidate of their house; but it had done her a bit of good, at least. Her pacifistic mannerisms crossed her mind very often and as much as she would love to avoid every conflict possible, the chances of that happening were zero to none; she would have to fight at one point and so, might as well brush up on whatever she could remember. The only thing actually holding her back was her own stamina, and unfortunately, stopped her from continuing every thirty minutes or so.

Now, all she was doing was reading that book that she couldn't quite finish that one, desolate night at the hotel. Time Traveler's Wife -- what an interesting story. Everything transitioned from one person's perspective to the next, and as she started to near the end, it became very clear that the story would end on a sad note. It wasn't going to be a happy ending like every childhood fairy tale that plagued kids' dreams and it sounded real. A story about a man who could travel through time and his love story, never to end peacefully and happily ever after. Did all gifts have flaws? Her's did for sure.

As the book clamped itself shut with a thud, the plastic covering around it crinkling as her grip loosened, shadows passed by, bushes rustling as people passed by, disturbing the tranquility that she had sought. Who would be out right now?... Besides her. It was starting to get close to curfew and students rarely went into the forest so late in the day, save for the select few that came out to train or find something else entirely. Her gaze followed them, and for a few moments, Lamia thought about just ignoring it and grabbing her next book to read.

. . .

. . .

Dammit, she thought, her curiosity driving her to stand up, catching her balance a bit before her hands snatched for her school bags, treading lightly towards the others. Her footsteps were soft and almost nonexistent like a mouse quietly scurrying across the forest floor, making sure it wouldn't disturb any leaves in its wake. Soon enough, they stopped and she kept herself hidden behind one of the long, slender barks of the tree, eyes sweeping the clearing. There was one thing she knew for sure, though: she never blended well in open greenery with trees under a bright sky. But now? Only several clouds hung so that the sun could hide behind them, and she felt slightly in her element -- in darkness.

If someone with a sword or any kind of blade were there, they could cut the tension right in half, thick as it was, it would be like slipping a knife through butter.

Lamia opted to look straight into the brothers' eyes as best as she could - each blazing with an anger and flame that reeked of hatred, bitterness, and ferocity that would pale in comparison to anything else she had seen before. Their vexation was real, and the moment she heard her name mentioned, she knew... it wasn't over anything petty. Both spoke with harsh tones as though they were fed up with each other, holding their ground with the side they were arguing for. None of this made it any easier when she believed it was her fault.

They provoked each other, threw spiteful insults, their presences practically exuding fury, and as soon as the fight started, Lamia took a step back in precaution, the forest thrown into flames. Vehement words rang through her mind and they must've stung each of them. Her hands shot over her ears as soon as she heard Magic starting to manipulate sound, the screech shooting pain through her, putting out only a bit of the grouped up fire that Vincent had thrown onto the trees.

Smoke rose, clouding the skies above in a dark fog and the bright light. So many painful screams, and a worried look flashed through her. Why? Why now? Why after everything? She was coughing and the fire was just behind her, the smog filling her lungs, and Lamia was still slightly exhausted from overexerting herself before all of this - dammit dammit dammit dammit - if she got hurt now, the fight would only go downhill. Desperately, she cast a glance over her shoulders, seeing if there was some unknowing person out there who saw the scene happening that could stop them, but she couldn't spot anyone. Fuck... This wasn't happening now, not while everything was steady. She couldn't get hurt again.

Mustering up whatever strength was left inside her frail body, Lamia kept a tight grip on her bags, sprinting into the clearing as quick as she could, the flames trailing behind her. The entire forest was going to catch on fire. A superpower fight... would get out of hand immediately. Collapsing in an area where she was positive the fire wouldn't reach her, she rolled onto her hands and knees, gasping for a breath; she couldn't find the goddamn strength to stand up. Fuckfuckfuck. She always failed at the worst times: worst of all, all she could do was watch the fight take place in front of her eyes.

PostSubject: Re: Talking... Yeah.. Talking...   Talking... Yeah.. Talking... EmptySat Aug 15, 2015 7:57 pm

Barry, all of a sudden on a researching spell, had multiple books in his hands and in a small drawstring bag. He was flying through the first book as if it were a picture book. Super speed came in handy that way. He closed the first book with a slam. "Damn it. Nothing in this one either." he said aloud. He was about to get out the next one when he noticed smoke in the forest. He had been wandering the campus so it wasn't very far away, although he dropped the bag where it was and took off at top speed towards the smoke. Almost instantaneously, he arrived at the spot. The first thing he noticed was the fire that was about to destroy the beautiful forest. The next thing he noticed was Magic and Vincent fighting very violently towards the center of the fire. Then, he noticed Lamia off to the side and sped through the fight to get to her. 'Oh no. What happened?' he thought to himself, dumbstruck at the brothers' fighting. All he could do is stare, as he wasn't sure what to do. He looked to Lamia but she seemed to engulfed in the fight.

Talking... Yeah.. Talking... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking... Yeah.. Talking...   Talking... Yeah.. Talking... EmptySat Aug 15, 2015 8:09 pm

She was sweaty.

It was pretty late in the afternoon but Aspen always enjoyed jogging throughout the forest, it was refreshing and peaceful; you couldn't even hear the cars in Rosebury it was so silent that all you could hear were the animals that lived there. Which was why Aspen had liked practicing her gift out here so much, there were hardly any interruptions so she could just stay out here for hours and go home without being bumped into. The blonde had been jogging back towards campus, until her nose had smelt something. It was fire, blinking the blonde had looked around too see some smoke nearby she was slightly confused not knowing what it was that caused a forest-fire. Although it looked small so she had figured that the fire would just die off on its own, but somehow she felt her feet dragging her towards the scene since she was a little bit curious. Instead of weakening it seemed to get stronger the second worrying the autumn slightly, her walk had changed into a steady jog and she soon was surprised when a strong flash had zoomed past her it practically knocked her off her feet. She wasn't sure what it was but the blonde had a uneasy feeling about this situation.

She quickly had ran towards the smoke only too see Barry and Lamia. There was a smile on her face as her arm rose in the air to wave towards them. "Hey Lamia, Barry!" She wasn't sure what the two were doing out here in the forest and why they were just standing in the smoke just staring at something. Tapping at Lamia's shoulder the blonde had frowned, "What are you guys doing? We shouldn't be standing in the smoke like thi-" She paused when she heard some voices. Looking towards the direction she saw two figures that resembled Magic and Vincent. If Vincent was here that would explain why there were some flames on the trees but why was he setting the forest on fire? Aspen blinked leaning closer too see that the two were in a fight. Her gaze snapped back towards Lamia and Barry, "Huh? Their fighting!" Aspen had said mildly surprised she didn't want to become tangled into it so she yelled towards them. "Vincent! Magiccc! Quiiit fighting would youuuu!" She waved towards them, frowning.

Vincent stood from being throw into trees by his bother's voice. He knew that Magic could attack both from close range, and long range. Well Vincent could do that to.. just had to throw some fire. Vince grabbed some fire from the nearby forest fire, creating some fire on his own was a bit tiring. He had to out last his brother or cause serious enough damage to stop the fight. Though the chance of either one was unlikely. Magic was stronger, better with his power, and had more endurance. All Vincent had was knowing his brother's fighting style. He could predict what Magic was going to do just from the slight twitch of muscles. He shot the fire forward from his hand it was going at a good speed, but it wasn't quite fast enough.

Magic just watched as the fire ball approached him. He let it get close enough, before opening his mouth and using a low frequency sound to put the small fire ball out. Immediately after doing so the older brother darted forward with speed and sunk a fist right into Vince's stomach.

Vince let out a sharp gasp as he felt Magic's fist sink into his stomach, even though it hurt considerably he wasn't going to let his brother get away from him with out some form of counter attack. He grabbed his brother's arm and quickly set fire to his hands but this time it wasn't normal fire. It was blue fire. A fire that burned hotter than normal fire. Soon after discovering it was blue fire the rest of the fire around the group turned blue, since Vincent had created it.

Magic tossed his brother away as soon as Vincent managed to scald him with the blue fire. It really hurt. It was hotter than the fire that touched him earlier, and probably left a worse burn. He wasn't going to get close to his brother again unless he wanted more burns.. He was going to walk out of here with a few different degree burns... The one he just received would probably end up being a third degree burn.. He took in a sharp breath ignoring some of the smoke he inhaled, and let out another scream. This time he was aiming to cause severe damage.

Vince in response put up a fire shield, hoping to dampen the sound waves to keep him from terrible damage. He just moved the surrounding blue fire to be in front of him. Even if the fire got pushed back it wouldn't cause him any damage he was immune to fire. But.. How long would he be able to keep this up?

Talking... Yeah.. Talking... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking... Yeah.. Talking...   Talking... Yeah.. Talking... EmptySat Aug 15, 2015 9:05 pm

This shouldn't have happened. Why, after everything that took place, did this have to take place now?

She shook off Aspen's touch, and a small cough escaped her again as her body tried to forcibly expel the smoke that had filled itself in her lungs before adjusting to a standing position, her balance only slightly off. Her hand shot up and Lamia used Barry for a few moments to keep herself steady, letting go once she was positive that she wouldn't fall over again. Mouthing a small apology, she shifted uncomfortably, distancing herself from the other two as her gaze followed the fight again. There was no surprise that those two were so caught up in their fight that they didn't even notice their arrival and once she saw Magic open his mouth, ready to send another sound, both palms flew up to her ears and covered them in an attempt to muffle it out as best as she could, eyes shutting close on reflex as though it would help in her poor self-defense as well, knowing full well that she was almost too late.

Lamia couldn't see either of their faces from her current angle, her breath caught in her throat, and blinked, her ears throbbing as they cried out from the pain that seared through them. Fear slowly crawled up her chest as she find herself unable to wrench her gaze away from what was happening before her, and each time one of the two launched an attack, she could almost feel herself stumble from the force. So strong... were the only words that came to mind, and as serious as everything was, she was in awe at their strength, something she couldn't achieve anytime soon. Not with how weak she was; Lamia knew, she was weak and powerless and she couldn't fix it... not without killing someone.

Her hands slowly reached for one of her chakrams, and one arm dangled awkwardly in front of her. The fist that clutched the curved blade in front of her was shaking, and she was hesitating. Would throwing one weapon into the midst of everything do much? . . . No, it'd do nothing. Slowly, she retracted it, bringing her arm down and shaking her head. She was so useless... She couldn't do anything. Not when her friends were fighting. Not when people needed help. What the hell could she do?

Her head reeled through, digging through any hidden archives in her mind that could help now. Fuck, she needed an idea and fast. Wait... fast. A shaky breath escaped her and she opened her mouth to actually speak this time, "U-u-uhm... B-barry?" It was a slow start, the words feeling foreign on her tongue. Why was she trying to ask him to do something now? It wasn't right to command someone to do something, but... was it desperate enough that she'd get out of her comfort zone? Yes, you idiot. Stop second-guessing yourself and get it over with. With that in mind, she continued, smoothing out her words as best as she could, "Pl-please put M-Magic into a lock... St-stop him... pl-please." Forcing herself to look the other boy in the eye, there was one thing: she was being desperate, pleading.

She wasn't strong enough to stop him in time. She wasn't fast enough to stop the fight. But... Barry could, at least. "A-Aspen... pl-please don't try a-a-anything." Could they hear her over the roar of the flames or the constant sounds from the fight? Hopefully... she couldn't strain her voice to be any louder, let alone try and stop her stuttering. Fuck, why was she always so weak? She was the only one coughing from the smoke. Was her body that goddamn frail?

Barry was so focused on the fight that he had to take a moment to process what Lamia had said. Once he had understood, he nodded and took off. He ran across the "battlefield" to look for the best moment to get a hold on Magic. It seemed that the best thing to do was to run up on him before he could get another scream in. He waited for Magic to take a deep intake of breath and he ran over to him, grabbed his arm, twisted it behind his back. The Autumn was also sure to clamp his hand around his mouth so he couldn't scream again. Barry held that lock in. The whole thing only took a matter of seconds, but for Barry time appeared to have slowed down so he could pull off the lock. He felt bad for doing this, but it was this or let one of them kill each other, along with the forest. And he couldn't do that.

The two were brothers what possibly could of happened for the two of them too fight like this? Aspen frowned when Lamia had shoved her away only too look back towards them. She couldn't see them but she heard intense battle sounds, she had too stop them she had too. Why would they even fight each other? Maybe it was just a sparring match but it seemed so intense. The autumn hand had cupped over her mouth, doing anything with this smoke in the air would be tough she felt her lungs already gasping for fresh air. If this fight continued then all of them would be harmed not just Magic and Vincent, maybe she was stupid for coming too watch but even Lamia and Barry were here but they were doing nothing. Aspen eyebrow rose when Lamia had said something too Magic and her dorm-mate was already gone speeding through towards Magic too lock him.

Aspen had too do something too, she ignored Lamia's words and rushed towards Vincent tackling the summer from behind as she gave him a quick hard smack across his cheeks. "Whats wrong with you! He's your brother!"

Talking... Yeah.. Talking... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking... Yeah.. Talking...   Talking... Yeah.. Talking... EmptySat Aug 15, 2015 10:13 pm

Magic didn't respond to being wrapped up. After his mouth was covered there was no point. Dark eyes looked around and thats when he noticed Aspen, and Lamia.. So Barry must be holding him back. Magic didn't have the energy to create any dangerous sound. His burns were killing him, but he knew Vince's chest must have been killing him. He left his younger brother with a couple of cracked ribs from his last punch. He kept his glare as he stared down his brother who just got slapped. He wanted to say something but decided to remain quiet for now.

Vincent head turned as soon as Aspen slapped him. It left a red mark on his face. A hand went up and covered his cheek where she had it.. It hurt.. his chest hurt.. Then he realized the Magic's punch would have cracked his ribs and probably did. "You bastard.." Vince said to his brother returning the same cold glare Magic was giving him. "Breaking my ribs.." He growled, to his older brother but Vince didn't do anything knowing Aspen would do something seeing how she had just slapped the pyromancer.

Magic's mouth curled into a smirk under Barry's hand. Using his gift to talk, even though his mouth was covered. He didn't have the energy to create anything dangerous though. "You're lucky my footing was off cause you would have ended up with broken ribs instead of cracked ones.." Magic's voice filled the air even though it was pretty clear it wouldn't becoming from his mouth. It honestly sounded like he was standing in the middle of the group instead of off to the side. "And you are calling me the bastard? You gave me third degree burns.. I swear I will kill you for that." He said trying to get out of Barry's grasp but not being successful. He couldn't think of a way to get out of the lock right now.. If he just tried brute force he would end up with a broken arm. Good thing Barry didn't grab his burned arm.

Vincent just glared at his brother. God they hated each other so much right now. "At least I'm not a monster.." Vince said with a slight smirk. He looked at the forest around them noticing the blue fire that covered it. He couldn't leave it like that, and seeing how he had decent control over his power for now, he put out all of it, or adsorbed some of it. There was still smoke but it should be clearing soon now.. The trees wouldn't be in good shape fore a while.

Magic's smirk disappeared. He struggled a little bit more really wanting to hit his brother in the face, but at the same time he didn't want a broken arm. "You are so lucky Barry is holding me right now.. If they didn't react you would have ended up in the hospital. I know you wouldn't have been able to hold out much longer. You are still extremely weak. Aspen's slap is probably stronger than your punch." Magic remarked. He didn't care about what he said at this point. He was pissed off beyond belief. Vincent just responded with 'tch' sound.

Talking... Yeah.. Talking... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Talking... Yeah.. Talking...   Talking... Yeah.. Talking... EmptySun Aug 16, 2015 6:42 am

She should've known what to expect from this. From those two brothers. Lamia never enjoyed thinking about the past, only because it was a constant reminder that she was a failure. The future? It always seemed so far away, whether it was just yesterday or tomorrow, and once you thought about trying to change anything, Fate crushes you under it with a pile of bricks - it wasn't something that they could have an effect on. So, why was she imagining that, just for once, she could have a happy ending with new friends and no problems? That couldn't happen, not with her around. If she was out of the picture, everyone else would be fine. Those two brothers - argument - it was just like the first thing they did at the vacation.

Drawing her arms closer to her, her golden eyes frozen on the ground, she listened - that was all she could ever do. Aspen didn't even wind up listening to her because she didn't have that kind of power, the strength to ask someone to do something in a dire situation. Those words... each and every single one of them. It was the fucking same thing each time. What the hell was wrong with this family? At least, in the end, she still had her mother and brother. But with them? All of them despised each other as though they were rotten to the core. She tried to block out the noise, to stop hearing it, but her hands refused to move up and cover her ears. They could've killed each other and here they were, still arguing like it had just started?

Everything was spinning. "Sh-shut up..." were the words that carried themselves from her lips in the softest of whispers. A mumbled, incoherent repeat of strings like a broken record player that could only play the same phrases over and over again. "Sh-shut up... shut up..." Why was she so powerless and naive, ignoring all of the stupid signs that something would happen? Why couldn't she ever figure anything out in time? Was she that hopeless and pathetic? If she could just do something for once... for once.

... Could she?

It was a really dumb idea, an absolute stupid one. She wouldn't ever want to use it, her gift that had no happy endings. Nothing good ever came when she used it, but this time? Maybe, just maybe, they could have a happy ending without her. It wouldn't make much of a difference if she disappeared. Hell, they'd probably forget here within a blink of an eye and she'd finally be able to escape this cruel, unfair world. It'd finally be a happy ending for everyone involved with her.

They probably got tired of her stuttering, her weakness, her bland personality. They probably got sick of her inability to do anything, to help them, to try to stand up for herself. Weak. Pathetic. Useless. Unworthy. Monster. Murderer. Cold-blood. Merciless. Cruel. Unfair. Idiot. The same things she told herself, called herself, the constant reminder of her past, the name she had taken. Lamia, huh? Problems never ended like they were supposed to. It wasn't like a book, life wasn't problem-free and let you live with friends and have a happy ending after the climax - they kept coming, surging onward like the waves that crashed on the shore. She couldn't flip through this like a book. A bitter smile came unbidden to her lips, and that was it.

She was so sick of herself - and they were too good for her. What did she have to give back?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

How much time did she have left on her? 19 years, 4 months, and 2 days approximately. She never was great at math, but this was one of the things she remembered in case there was any use. Fractured ribs normally take 6 weeks to heal - Vincent most likely cracked more than one part, knowing how powerful Magic was... and this was from firsthand experience. But this? He was actually in control, so she'd assume 12 bones were broken. 72 weeks... To heal that, she'd have to shave off a year or two - that is, if she wanted to complete it. Third degree burns take only about 3 weeks, but with what the younger brother did, Magic was burned practically everywhere. She couldn't tell how many places, but she'd personally assume they did the same amount of damage. Throwing away two or four years? I'd be out for a week, at the least... Well, looks like Fate wants her to stay so it could play with her some more; she had to play puppet for just a little longer.

Slowly, Lamia forced herself to move, and soon enough she stood before Vincent and Aspen. Taking a deep breath, she counted mentally to ten, and her palm was hovering over his chest, focusing a soft yellow glow. Golden eyes glazed over to a dull, lifeless blue and her breathing came out in a slow, steady rhythm. In her mind, she imagined each and every bone mending itself, bringing every piece together and once she knew they came together, she snapped out of her trance. Fuck. She forgot to take into account her frail body. Again. One hand shot up to her mouth, and a hacking fit escaped.

She felt winded, as though the air was knocked out of her. That was normal, of course. But she had to go through this again. One last time. And she could pretend not to exist to anyone for an entire week or so. This is such a selfish decision - I'm using them them to escape, Lamia thought sadly, and the words echoed in her mind: I'm such a terrible friend.

Really? Who else would make this kind of stupid decision besides her?

It was harder than she had originally assumed to walk all the way towards Barry and Magic, staggering all the way and trying to make sure she didn't faint right then and there. It was taking the full force of everything in her to just keep pushing herself, and she internally let out a sigh of relief once she made it over, collapsing on her knees as she tried to catch her breath.

Lamia didn't even try to look at him like she did with Vincent - he didn't need to see her in that state. Every time she transferred time to someone else... all she was was a lifeless shell, an unmoving corpse, that held a storage of time that others could use. She just had to rewind these burns, and then she was done. Don't pass out right away, her mind told her as she fulfilled the deed. Whatever strength she had left was used to make sure she could speak for a little longer and not faint.

Collapsing onto her hands and knees, she tried to control her breathing, the heartbeat that sped up and begged for her to hyperventilate and allow herself to just rest right then and there. Not now... They have to much to worry about, don't faint yet. Not yet. Just a little longer.

"Idiots..." she started softly, clenching her eyes shut to concentrate on spilling it out. She didn't want to see their faces when they saw her, with all of the color drained away from her skin and struggling to do something as simple as breathing and speaking. "Pl-please don't f-fight... I-I'm s-sorry f-for b-being a b-b-burden..." Lamia had to force herself to continue, to just hold on.

The deed was done, and a soft, breathy giggle escaped her, sweet as a bell, and softly, she ended it: "I-I'm s-so sorry... f-for everything." Her body was so weak, everything seemed to be crushing her at once. Darkness started to consume her but she willed it away temporarily as she felt paralyzed, unable to move or support herself and she laid down on the cold soil.

What a cliche line. But it fit the situation perfectly.

Barry watched as Lamia healed Vincent and soon watched her stagger over to Magic to heal him as well. As soon as she finished, he let the Winter go and listened to Lamia speak as she got weaker and weaker, eventually passing out on the ground. "Look, I don't care what's going on right now, but she needs medical attention. I can get there fast. Let me take her." he said, walking over to the unconcious girl, scooping her up into his arms. Any objections? No? Good." he said, quickly speeding off towards the infirmary.

Talking... Yeah.. Talking... Empty

What had happened? What had caused such anger between Magic and Vincent. It was so much fun with the both of them at her party, everyone had such a great time but now.. now they hated each other! How can one go this far where they were fighting without mercy giving each other horrible injuries; burns and broken bones. It was such a sight, too see the two in such a state. Aspen had felt her heart pounding, she didn't receive any wounds but she felt a wound too the heart. What in the world had happened between them? She knew nothing would be the same anymore. The autumn had never felt this before, what was it? It was so painful just having them fight each other it felt like her heart was ripping its self apart. She could feel tears in her eyes but she didn't want too let them out, she was just so heartbroken on seeing them injure each other like this. She remembered the words that Vincent had said too her during their date at the bakery.

'Leave him alone'

Is this what Magic could do to someone? But Vincent gave Magic horrible burns that would take weeks to heal, why was this all happening. Even when Vincent had received a slap and when Magic was being held back by Barry they still had the will to argue.. How.. How.. Horrible!! The autumn grit her teeth and gave Vincent another cold hard slap, "Come to your senses would you! I-I I'll beat you if you don't quit it!" Aspen had yelled staring at the summer intensely. Was this really the Vincent she met long ago? His kind nature vanished and now.. there was just hatered and fear for Magic who he continued calling a monster. What was with him? "This makes both of you monsters!" She was about too smack him again but was startled when Lamia had approached them and started too heal Vincent. She was a bit confused she wasn't sure what she was doing at first but when his wounds seemed to start healing her eyes had widened in a small fraction.

Lamia.. She was so thankful, for her but before she was able too say something she had already vanished stumbling towards Magic and Barry too heal the other brother. She was so kind, she always knew that about Lamia how good of a heart she had which was why she trusted and liked her so much. Aspen had felt the need to push the darkness and insecurities out of her because Lamia was a person who deserved all the good in her life that came to her.. That's what Aspen had believed at least. She glanced back towards Vincent, only glaring at the summer with anger and pity she didn't want to be angry but what he did was horrible she didn't know if she would be able to forgive him. She still didn't even hear why the two had started such a horrible fight in the first place. "D-don't.. Talk to me.. e-e-ever."

The image of Vincent she had known was now shattered, she couldn't believe that he would ever fight his brother like this. If this was Vincents true colors she never wanted too face the guy ever in his life again.

Magic felt concerned for Lamia, but Barry at the moment probably wasn't going to let either of the brothers near the girl. He figured the other autumn would return shortly. He felt bad he really did. Why did they have to appear? It's not like he was going to kill his brother or anything.. All he was going to do was badly injure him. Letting go of him was a bit of a mistake though. He was the one that started this mess in the first place. All his brother wanted to do was talk.

Magic listened to the younger autumn girl talk. They were both monster hehe... The winter's lips curled into a smile, and then he couldn't hold it any longer. The boy burst out into laughter. "Him? A monster? Please! This happened because he was concerned for you! God my brother is an idiot." Magic spoke. He kept a toothy smile on his face. His whole posture looked a bit creepy. Oh boy he was starting to lose it a little bit. It was probably because he blamed himself for what happened to Lamia. She didn't need to heal them. It wasn't worth it. It was worth it at all. The two brothers could have fared fine dealing with their injuries and yet here he was void of burns. Darkness lingered in the winter's eyes.

Vincent didn't dare look at Aspen. What his brother said was true, but what Aspen said was true as well. He did feel like a monster at the moment, though he was just defending himself from his brother. He respected Aspen's wish though and didn't speak up. Even if he did try to say something she would most likely not believe him. The pyromancer let out a sigh. He shot a glare to his brother. He was still very pissed off. Hidden feelings that sat for years finally surfaced.. and it wasn't pretty. There was still a chance things could return to normal. The brothers would eventually go back to tolerating each other and occasionally having some good moments. Yes that was normal for them.

Barry came running back and skidded to a halt, a small trail of dust following him. He eyed Magic and Vincent angrily. "Are we done here? Because I'm not afraid to knock one of you out." he said, crossing his arms. He looked at Aspen, who was angrier than he had ever seen her. He wondered what had just occured but didn't dwell on it.

She wanted too punch him.

Was she going insane, what was Magic even saying she couldn't even believe his words. She didn't want too look at anybody right now both of them made her want too gag and throw up. She felt her breath becoming heavy due too the smoke but she couldn't risk fainting, not now. The blonde frowned, concerned for her? That's when the thought hit her. He did this all for her? Just because Magic had attempted too hit her a few weeks ago, that's what happened here? She was a bit shocked and lost for words when she tried too speak her words didn't come out correctly she only looked at Magic with slight horror in her eyes. She didn't want to be afraid of him, she knew that he was a good person he protected her so why was he acting this way now? "B-but but but but.." She wasn't able too say anything she was completely shattered, overwhelmed with troublesome thoughts. Her head pounded with the pain, and her heart still hurt she did want to punch Magic but Lamia had passed out trying too heal him she couldn't she just couldn't. Her hand curled up into a tight fist as she stared towards the ground, could she ever trust them again? They started this over something that happened weeks ago she was over it she didn't even give it a second thought until she had told Vincent what had happened at the Bakery.

She jumped too conclusions it was Magic who did the bad thing here, Vincent was defending himself and he was defending her. Why couldn't she just believe him but why didn't he talk to her? She didn't want this Vincent should of said something too her if he was gonna start this she didn't care about it anymore she wanted everyone too forgive and forget not too dwell forever on past mistakes. When Barry had came back she didn't care about him at the moment she was being confused on her own thoughts her mind was tricking her. She couldn't hold back anymore, she never liked fighting but this was beyond acceptable. She wanted too teach Magic a lesson, although at the same time she was afraid if it would ruin their friendship, she didn't want too lose a friend at all not over something so stupid.

Her fist became tighter and she charged towards Magic. Water visible in her eyes, Barry didn't have to knock him out she would do it she was going to deliver some pain too him. Aspen huffed her fist aiming towards his face it wasn't the strongest punch probably would just knock out some of his teeth at the least but it felt great too hit him. There was some sort of relief when her fist had hit him and she just felt better. She stepped back a few feet only staring at him with cold eyes.
