A few mechanical troubles

Jake sat on a cement bench in the courtyard, fiddling with his ability and a stack of books sitting next to him. Recently, the student had noticed that his mechanical transformation's had been acting up. Ever once in a while, a part of his body would randomly change, and he had no clue why. Even his permanent leg would act up here and there. His friend Louis had dragged him along to the school library. It was the most boring thing ever, but Jake ended up getting some books that might help him with mechanics.

"Um... Hello. May I sit next to you?" A sugar coated voice suggested awkwardly, a nervous smile planting itself onto her face. She'd gotten a really terrible sickness and it prevented her from going to school. For a long while, indeed. Now she'd lost most of her memory. She could faintly remember this and that, but otherwise, she'd forgotten most of her important memories. She nearly forgot that she was special. She could blind people and animals temporarily! But, she hadn't been able to remember that without help from her father.

He trotted alongside her, pretty much guiding her around. But he finally gave her a break. She was healing finely, and she no longer needed his important teaching. So he sat somewhere on another bench, nibbling on his pencil and trying to solve a difficult problem.

"Uh, sure?" he said, scooting his books closer to him. "Weird, I haven't seen you around Beata before." The tall student said bluntly.

"Oh, um... Yeah, uh... I went on a really long vacation but I got sick so we had to stay there a longer time...?" Her voice was pretty questionable. It was partly a lie, but it wasn't something that crappy that she made up from the top of her head. "Thanks," Angela said, plopping down on the bench. Someone needed to teach her manners! "Hello! I'm Angela. Pleasure to meet you!" She exclaimed. Jake's mind was probably saying, "She's really weird". Well, it wasn't her fault she got ill so terribly! Her hands were neatly folded on her lap, and her hair was as it usually was - in a ponytail with a feather. But nothing really told anyone else what her power was.

Was that an issue? What if it was a rule at Beata for everyone to have something that warned everyone that she could blind them? It's not a big deal. My powers are temporary. It's not an issue. She told herself. Her blue eyes flashed and seemed to brighten as her gaze cast upon Jake.

Jake set down the book he was looking. "I'm Jake, ya, nice to meet ya. Must have been some hell of a vacation." he half chuckled, glancing down at his hand. It soon transformed into a mechanical thing with multiple tools on it. The boy played around with it, as if a he was a child with a new toy.

"At least I got to see some of my family!" She exclaimed. She hoped that she wasn't annoying Jake and making him... Uncomfortable. The thought flowed through her mind. It seemed as if a massive invisible hand had shoved it away. "My father couldn't tell I was ill. In fact, he thought I was sneaking away and... Drinking." She mumbled the last part underneath her breath, but she did say the rest of it softly. She put some more hair behind her ear. It was so unruly! "But, it was not the best place. They live really far away. It took three days to get there! And my cat, Mittens, nearly starved. Luckily for me, I was able to feed her some scraps. I didn't even know cats and dogs were allowed on planes!" She added. It was quite an interesting trip. Something she would forever remember.

OOC: Shortness

She sure isn't afraid to share her life's story. "Well, I've been stuck in this god forsaken school for who knows how long. Made some friends, made some enemies...eh, the usual thing around here."

"I know just how you feel. I believe that this school is cursed, and evilness haunts it. That's why they train us to learn our powers. Hey, what's yours?" She smirked, suddenly bursting into laughter at her own insane theory. "I can blind things. Temporarily. If you don't believe me, I'd be glad to show you... Oh wait, maybe not. I don't know." She explained.

OOC: So short!

"That's interesting. My power is Mechanical Transformation." He lifted up his arm that was currently transformed. "I can turn the transformation on and off, but sadly my leg is permanent."

"That's really cool, too. Maybe if I work on this it'll get better... But hey! Why don't we go to my dorm(?)! I have a cat named Mittens if you wanna see her!" She asked, deliberately trying to convince Jake into coming to her dorm. Now, of course, it was messy but she could run in and stuff everything everywhere else. "Let's go! Come on! It's going to be fun! Then we can go to yours! Maybe." She mumbled the last parts underneath her breath. By now she was standing up and was quivering from excitement. She honestly loved her dorm.

After all, she had her cat with her.

Jake stared at the girl like she was crazy, but then gave into a smile. "Ok, ok, clam down. I'll come to your dorm, don't worry."
