Louis walked into the forest, his bird friend flying around him. "Yes, I know it's a nice day. Well of course I like it. Why else would I be here?" He smiled as he chatted with the bird, walking to a tree and picking a leaf off it. Little did the student know, he was being followed...

Sarah, unknowingly following Louis, was admiring the beautiful scenery when she almost ran into the boy. "Oh. Sorry about that. I wasn't watching where I was going." the Autumn girl said sweetly. "And not to be rude, were you talking to your bird?"

Louis looked behind him to see a girl. "No worries. Yes, I was talking to the bird. Mind telling me why you're out here?" He asked with a warming smile, not wanting to make her nervous.

"No particular reason. Just enjoying the forest. It's so peaceful usually." she said calmly. She took a deep breath. She loved this time of year. Not quite winter yet, not quite autumn anymore either.

"Ya, I came out for the same reason. I'm Louis by the way. I can talk to animals." He sat down on the tree truck, the little bluejay sitting on his shoulder.

"I'm Sarah. I have Empathic Replication. It comes with some unneeded side effects, but oh well." she said with a slight bit of a bitter tone. She wished she could control her random mood swings, and it looked like she was having one right now.

"That's cool. I love how this school has such a variety of powers." He said. Louis noticed the girl suddenly got a bit angry, by her facial expression and wondered what could be bothering her. "Hey, why don't you sit down? Might as well enjoy the day, right?" He smiled, patting the trunk next to the one he was sitting on.

"Yeah okay." she said, easing up. The Autumn girl was still bitter towards her unwanted sideffects of her gift, but she decided that she wasn't going to let that ruin her day without a fight. "So are there any bad side effects to your gift? I'd imagine not, but one never knows." she said, trying to start a conversation.

"Well, not really. It's just not really a "fighting" type of power, and honestly I can't do much with it." He said a bit bummed. "My sister on the other hand can turn into a dragon, but sometimes she loses control."

"Mine's not really a fighting power either, but the side effects are still very present. I hate it." Sarah said. "But your sister's power sounds like there could be some serious issues."

"Oh ya, she can cause some real damage. Ya know, knocking down plants with her tail, burning stuff, the usual dragon stuff." Louis said casually. "What side effects come with your power?" He asked, wondering if he could help her.

The girl sighed. "Well, my power somewhat amplifies my emotions, and with that I can usually tell how someone's feeling. The other major one is that I'm suceptible to random mood swings at any time." the Autumn explained, "It also doesn't help that I can't control which emotion a clone gets, and sometimes my gift activates when I feel something strongly, like when I get really scared or angry."

"Oh." Louis had to think for a moment. "Well, I bet there's a way to control your mood swings." He said optimistically. "I mean, this school is for strengthening our powers."

"Yeah I really hope so." she replied, "I just wish I knew someone else who had experienced something similar, so maybe they could help me."

"Well, I may not really have side affects but I bet I could help you. And you should really meet my sister. She has been able to control her power more and more, I think you two would get along." He said sweetly.
