For the Shocks and Requips

Maria walked out on the arena. The place was silent, almost to quiet. She looked around, wondering if any adults were lurking about. Being a fairly new student, she had never been to the arena and was curious to see what it was like. She walked over to a side railing, taking off her pink fleece and setting it on the side bar. Maria soon walked back to the middle and stood on the weird wooden surface. Today, she would test the extent of her power. Luckily here, she didn't have to worry about hurting anyone. "Requip, knight armor, Devil's sword!" She said aloud. With a sudden flash of light, Maria was in her usual armor, her specialty sword in her left hand. Now to try it without saying anything.

There always had to be some kind of idiot here hogging the arena just when she got there, didn't there? Kayla stopped a few short yards away from the platform with her hands buried in her pockets. Fuck, this is a pain in the ass. First Magic and whatserface, now this nobody? It was a hassle, but she hadn't walked all this way to just turn around. A sharp whip of electricity cracked in the air like a whip to draw the girl's attention. "Hey," she muttered with sparks popping off near her head. "Go swing that thing somewhere else. I need this place."

Maria, about to start training heard someone walk up behind her. Though she didn't turn around, she could see the girl's angry reflection in her sword. "Hey now shorty. Who pissed in your cheerios?" The charming girl turned around, facing the upset lightning rod. "I think I'll stay." Maria stated, wanting to make her mad.

She felt her eye twitch. "Who the hell do you think you are?" Did she really think she could intimidate her with that thing? In that armor? This wasn't the 1300s. Kayla removed a hand from her pocket, electricity snaking and dancing across her fingertips. "I wasn't asking. I told you to go."

"That's the thing." Maria said with devious smile."I don't take orders from little brats like you." She stated. What could I use against electricity? She had to think for a minute. Shit. I hope this works. Requip, Rubber Armor. In all honesty, she had no idea how it would work, but it was worth a shot. With a flash of light, her armor transformed. It looked exactly the same to anyone else, but Maria could feel the rubbery texture. Wow, cool. For now, she decided to keep her sword the same.

Ha. Maybe this wouldn't be so much of a pain after all. She'd make her regret those words. Without a word, Kayla held out her hand and snapped her fingers. A lightning bolt shot out from the tip of her nail like a gunshot, streaking through the air and crashing into the metal sword in her hands like a lightning rod. Die.

In an instant, electricity was flying at her. She slipped to the side, just barely getting out of the way. The lightning went flying past her and crashed into the wall. So that's how you wana play? Well, it won't be a competition, but might as well have some fun. "Requip! Fate Hammer!" She yelled, starting to get hyped. With a flash of light, a huge hammer was in the girls hand. Luckily, it wasn't made of metal, but titanium. Fortunately for her, this element wouldn't so as easy to shock. "Now then. Lets get this party started!" She said, a malicious smile on her face. The girl suddenly ran forwards her hammer in her hands, ready to smash stuff. Just to make sure she wasn't an easy target, Maria zig zagged as she ran. She was an extremely fast runner, and was always known the be athletic. Finally reaching the girl, she smashed the hammer hard into the ground next to her, purposely not hitting her.

Kayla threw herself to the side as Maria rushed her with the hammer, hitting the ground and rolling cleanly back onto her feet to create about a yard of distance between them. She held out her hand, and black dust began to swirl up from the ground to collect in her fist, forming a blade of shifting iron sand like a black sword. "Do you have a deathwish?" she asked in a flat tone. Was that how it was going to be? A high-octane blitzing offense, speed combined with heavy striking power, but that kind of strategy would burn her out quickly. Wearing armor would wear you out and slow you down, and Kayla could feel the weight and density of the hammer with her electricity. For some reason, she couldn't manipulate it at all, even at this range. It couldn't be normal steel or iron.

She grit her teeth and propelled herself forward, shooting toward the other girl to close the distance between them, with her sword flashing forward in a black blur.

Before Maria had time to think, the weird sword thing was hauling ass towards her. She barely had anytime to get out of the way, and soon felt a sharp pain along her side. It skimmed her skin just a little, but hurt like hell. "Oooh, so scary with your sword." She said teasingly, clutching her side, but on hand still on the hammer. That's it you little bitch. She thought viciously. Standing up more straight, she ran towards the girl and struck her hammer into the girl's side. Atleast this'll slow her down. Maria thought, wincing at the pain in her side.

ooc-agggg it's so hard to not go crazy fighting bitch on here, but had to take a shot towards Kayla or this would go on forever.

She twisted to avoid it, but couldn't dodge the strike entirely. The hammer went smashing into her side and Kayla went flying to the ground and tumbling across the grass. Somehow, she managed to get onto one knee, holding her side where the blow had struck. A sharp, throbbing pain shot up her side, but she ignored it and stood to her feet, spitting out a glob of blood. Ouch. Maybe that was an understatement. At most, it was a cracked rib. At the least, she'd be nursing a seriously ugly bruise for the next couple of weeks.

The taunt, amplified by the pain in her side, only fueled the fire burning in her chest. Electrical surges crackled in the air around her, and the sword in her hand began to rattle and vibrate like a chainsaw.

...really...

Balls of lightning appeared around her shoulders, her knuckles, her bangs, slowly expanding in size, and then shot out like lasers in the other girl's direction.

...pissing me off!!

Kayla spurred herself forward with a shout, electricity blasting off near her feet where she kicked off the ground, and half-dashed, half-flew at her enemy, her sword slashing high-and-low in an almost invisible flurry of blows.

Blood dripped down her side as she stood there. Now we're talking. She smirked as the girl started to get mad. Before the girl ran towards her, Maria mad a quick change in equipment. Requip, Guardian's Shield. She thought to herself, the hammer changing into an titanium shield, just a bit taller than herself. They didn't call me Titania for nothing.

As the electric student, came rushing forward, Maria prepared her shield. The girl's chain-saw thing smashed against it, making a huge metal on metal sound. The force pushed Maria back on the arena surface, her side started to hurt again from the pressure.

CRASH. CLANG. Her black blade glanced off the titanium shield in a shower of sparks and dust and bit shallow cuts into the metal. The reverberation sent shocks racing up her arm and her blitzing attack came to a hard stall.

The shield was taller than her, too thick to cut, too heavy to sweep aside, too dense to destroy. So she did the only thing she could do in the heat of the moment. Kayla leapt and kicked her foot out, clinging to the metal surface like a magnet, and bounded upwards over her enemy and her shield.

She hit the ground rolling, found her feet, and slashed at her as she twirled around.

Maria braced herself as the girl started attacking her shield. The girl was soon climbing the shield. "Like a spider. Easy to squash." The girl said teasingly, trying to balance the weight between her and the girl. Maria bent her back as far back as it could, shielding her face so it wouldn't get mauled. The girl finally fell off and started slashing around behind Maria. The girl, randomly swinging her metal sword around finally found Maria's back, cutting a gash through the armor but not yet grazing the skin. "That's it!" She yelled, taking a few steps away from the lightning girl.

She didn't give a damn what she grabbed, she just needed to grab it. The portal opened with a flash of light, and Maria soon stood there with 2 titanium maces in both hands. The staff part was a thin rubber lining to help hold a grip but the titanium top was specially crafted for smashing skulls.

With an evil glare, Maria started twirling the maces. Blood dripped down her side and she was furious. Without a word, Maria raced towards the girl. She lifter her maces and right as she got closer, jumped and the ground and swung the weapons down towards her face.

Kayla met the glare with an equal ferocity. This smug piece of shit had pissed her off. That was the only thing that mattered right now. She took a step back, slashing to block, as the maces came smashing down toward her. The dust sword rang against the titanium and sent her reeling backwards from the impact. She gripped her sword tighter, her teeth clenched in a feral snarl. Rubber armor, titanium weapons. She was untouchable that way, but that didn't stop her from using her power.

She took another step back, still reeling, and stomped her foot into the ground. A web of electricity shot out from her sneaker and over the planks where Maria was standing. The metal screws and nails keeping the planks together wrenched themselves out of the wooden platform, and the floor beneath Maria began to splinter and buckle under her weight.

Maria was caught off guard when the wood under her started to splint and break from electricity. Before she could fall to a painful death, she ran up a board not yet broken and leaped off it. Breathing hard, she ran around the destroyed spot of the platform towards the girl again, and took another swing. This time, she wouldn't miss.
