Big, Black... Horse Empty
PostSubject: Re: Big, Black... Horse   Big, Black... Horse EmptySun Dec 27, 2015 1:45 pm

Myles decided to walk to the stables again, it was always a pleasant way to clear his head, looking at the strong flight animals, some varying in how well-trained and accustomed to people they were.  He saw from a distance the girl trying to climb atop the biggest one, surprised she was even getting on, from the way the animal looked and the way she was getting flung off, she had to have by now had A.) A concussion and B.) Very little actual experience with these majestic animals.  He raised an eyebrow, raising the new stitches crossing right over said eyebrow, due to his recent concussion his nurse would probably murder him and Kayla would probably call him an idiot for the what? Five hundredth time?  Oh well, after that fall, she had a break from the horse and he took the chance to stroll up to the stables, his boots crushing some of the still fallen leaves.  He stopped about ten feet from the girl, leaning on a post of the stables, crossing his arms and putting on his signature smile as he said with his usual accent "Ya'll seem to be havin' some relationship problems."

Big, Black... Horse Empty

Myles offered a large smile, he embraced the stereotype and was happy someone finally appreciated it. Pushing himself off of the post he moved to the horse, looking at the English style saddle and shaking his head "Are you posh?" he said with a chuckle, he quickly and deftly unstrapped the saddle from the horse, putting it on the fence and moving to the other side of the stables to grab a Western style "The only way I learned to ride was Western, mostly same concept with a coupla crucial differences, saddle included."  He made sure the saddle pad was still okay before he stepped around to the left side of the horse, putting the saddle on, dropping the girth strap and putting it through the rings, moving around to the front of the horse, knowing it was certainly not accustomed to the new face, but a strong but easy hand made it relax a bit. After a bit of easy petting and appreciation Myles could tell the thing was fiery and not as gentle and trained as the couple of others in the place  He turned to the girl, once again raising the stitched eyebrow, offering a small side smile "I know quite a bit, and that guy right there-" Myles raised a finger and pointed to the horse "Is the hardest one you could start with, so if you wanna learn to ride with him you gotta listen to this guy, alright?" He directed a thumb towards his chest, the smile still on his face.

Myles made sure the saddle was on right before he stepped up to her and said "Now, you might be wonderin' why I chose the different saddle, to a beginner the main difference is the horn up top, now the saddle is deeper, which is easier to ride and better for balance and the horn is where you put your hand cause you hold the reins with one hand most of the time."  He stepped up to the horse, patting it on the side once, before moving to it's left flank, jamming the ball of his boot into the stirrup, bouncing on his other foot for a second, before deftly pulling himself up, letting his right leg glide right over the horse's body, avoiding touching it's sides for as long possible, putting his right foot into the right side stirrup.  "Second order of business, what is very important, and my pa always stressed this, you want to have a straight line between yer ears, hips and heels, this makes sure you keep balance." He gestured to each respective part when Rex got a little restless, shaking around a bit, Myles instinctively grabbed the reins with his right hand, ready to pull back in case the animal began flight, but when the horse settled so did he, with a smile he looked back at the girl saying "This all gettin' in yer head, darlin'?"

Myles looked back at her during his work, offering a side smile and a wink when she mentioned he was from down south.  As he sat atop the thing, he raised the stitched eyebrow at the girl speaking below him, nodding his head.  But as she began speaking of getting on he had one more thing to finish before letting her take Rex out,he began his dismount letting his right leg glide over the girth and back, landing softly on his feet "Whoa there, cowgirl we gotta get you on this boy the right way, so you don't land on a fence or fall face first on a tree branch or somethin'."  He moved his way around towards the front of the horse, grandly gesturing to the left flank of the big black animal.
