Moment of Rest [open to everyone]

Arguments, death threats, insults being thrown around like they were nothing.. It was really starting to get on Larissa's nerves. After watching everything unfold and with the sudden entrance of yet another boy, the summer felt like she was about to lose it. Not in the anger sort of way, more like in a panic. She did not want to be up here. Not at all. But she felt like if she even tried to go for the door at this point, she was somehow going to get sucked into this drama, so for whatever reason, she stayed put, eyeing each person on the roof until her gaze came to rest upon Freya who seemed to be the one that started it all. After watching her for even a few minutes, Larissa's face lit up as she finally realized why the girl seemed to familiar. The way that she talked and strutted about like she owned the place... It was not hard to notice how similar she was to Maria because Maria was not someone the summer could just forget after the first impression she gave Larissa on the football field.

Suddenly irritation came into play for Larissa. Why did everyone at this stupid school want to fight so much? It seemed to be a pretty big pattern save maybe one or two students she had run into. First there was Maria and Jake and now all of these three getting ready to go at it, not to mention the several others simply standing around watching it happen and even provoking it.

"Can..." she began to speak before realizing she wasn't nearly loud enough. Quickly clearing her throat and pushing herself off of the wall to stand up straight, she looked at Kayla, Freya, and Myles. "Can we just stop?" It was more of a demand than a question. Aggravation overflowed in her words, cutting off their conversation. She didn't want to get involved but she was sick of it, so she felt like she had to.

God dammit. Now they were all going to gang up on her and "join forces"? "How childish." She gave a sigh when the electric girl made her comment. Another guy soon came up but she ignored him, focused on the lightning girl. She also ignored Juliette's comment, not wanting to get dragged into a pointless argument. "I wouldn't push my luck if I were you." The girl said sternly to the western guy, her eyes not leaving the other girl.

"All war is a symptom of mans' failure as a thinking animal." She said flatly. With a flash of light, a double headed battle axe as in the girls hand. She knew her power wasn't as it's peak, but she knew it was controllable. "It isn't even interesting fighting against someone who doesn't have their own goals." With another quick flash of light, a second battle axe appeared in her other hand. Both of her arms hung at her side, waiting to see if this fight would be worth it. I'm new, so starting a fight won't look good. Sh tried to make herself stop but adrenaline of the moment pumped throughout her veins.

Another person. Fuck. Did the stream of people up here ever just stop? This place had went from a serene hiding spot to a powder keg over the course of a minute. Even if it was just a crowd of people, that'd be fine... But all this bickering and noise was because of her. A few people shot in between insults to try and cool things, even with a bit of laughter, and the vaguely familiar ninja girl who'd clambered up the side of the building stood between her and the blonde. Her eye twitched. Could they just stop? If all these people would just disappear, then that'd be fine with her, but it felt like they were speeding down a one-way road right off a cliff. It was too late to backpedal out of this until someone took the first step.

War was man's failure as a thinking... what? What the fuck did that even mean? What goals? Was it this fucker's noble goal to crash in on her privacy and tell a cripple to kill himself?

For once, it wasn't even her fault if a fight started. Even if a prefect busted in through the door right now, could they blame her if she beat this cunt's sneering face into a pulp?

The battle axes that appeared in her hands didn't even phase her. After a few years at Beata Academy, a sight like that was almost normal. She turned away from the railing, staring over the ninja girl's shoulder. The axes smiled in the twilight with a menacing glint.

She curled her hands into fists, electricity flickering between her fingers, and the metal in the axes began to curl in on themselves, warping under an invisible pressure, random small flickers of electricity zapping in the air all around them. CrrrrrreeeeEEEEEEEAAAAK.

"Do you have fucking brain damage?" Electricity crackled in her hair, melting away the snow. She raised up her hand, lightning twining up around her fingertips like snakes. "I told you to shut up."

"I wouldn't stand right there if I were you, Spidergirl," she muttered to the girl with dark purple hair.

Myles placed his crutch down, pulling himself a step back and looking to Juliette "Eh, I'm sure my crutches'll be fine, thanks for ask."  He noticed her but had sidestepped her earlier to let that one bite go to that girl.  He thought he had seen her before but had no way to place a name.  He'd have to ask later once there wasn't about to be an all out battle on the rooftop.  He looked to Kayla raising his voice slightly saying "Listen, you looked pretty relaxed up here, let's keep our chill and maybe we could all leave you alone...right?"  He then turned to Freya, biting the inside of his cheek.  He needed to be careful, apparently she didn't like anything he had to say.  Which was mostly brutal truth and brutal truth with a bit of sarcasm sprinkled in.  He let a breath escape his lips and make a light mist arise.  Playing the diplomat was always a minefield.  "Listen, we probably all came here for a quiet place, and it all can be if we just fuckin' chill out.  I didn't scale up a buncha flights of stairs to be threatened.  Let's all put our...powers away for a little and just talk or leave or something.  Seriously, can we all just fucking stop?!?"  He was done.  Threats and insults were one thing, but once people started drawing it needed to be defused or taken elsewhere.  This was a rooftop and last he remembered he didn't fall far and got pretty badly injured.  His blue eyes shifted between the two girls, after looking to Juliette and giving her a shrug.  If Freya didn't listen, maybe Kayla would listen to logic, she'd listened to him before, he just had to hope her fuse wasn't already burned...

Chris looked around and took a deep breath. He wasn't handling all the tenseness well. He looked down to his hands and noticed a cold mist rising from them. It wasn't an unusual thing for him since he was in stressing situations all the time when he was home. "Yes, please. Can we just chill?" he said quietly with the smallest traces of a smirk.

Connor knew it wasn't his place to talk, considering he came late, but everything seemed to be flying out of control. He took a step forward towards the two, "I agree with Mr. Texas over here. This is getting a bit out of hand." With another step he put a few feet between him and the ax murderer, "Besides," His hand raised so it was out in front of him and one of the metal axes glided to his open palm. "I don't think it's a good idea to start a fight your first month here." Connor ran his finger down the blade of the ax just light enough so it wouldn't cut him. 'Such precious metal..' A slight smile appeared on his face as he looked back up at the one who summoned the ax in the first place, "If ya wanna fight I don't suggest metal because, ya know, electricity can run through it."

Being as new as she was to the school, the sudden reaction that everyone had to Freya's axes startled Larissa. All of the irritation she felt vanished when she saw Kayla step up while lighting up like a Christmas tree with electricity, all while bending the exact weapons that was the culprit of the chaos. Then there was Myles who was setting his crutches aside and the other boy Chris who, upon further inspection, seemed to be steaming from his hands. Finally the newest boy to arrived stepped into the midst of the craziness, almost caressing the pretty crumpled ax that Freya was holding. At this point, the smartest one there was Juliette who made her way to the emergency door.

Of course, in all the madness, the summer was ignored. It was probably for the better, though. She didn't want to get mixed up with these people. It'd probably end up with her blasting someone off the roof by accident and she didn't want that on her conscience.

Taking a few steps back, she made sure she was out of the way before bee-lining it to the emergency door with Juliette. "Are... Are you leaving?" she asked nervously, almost afraid to turn her back on the group just in case something came flying her way. "I don't want to stay for this..."

Freya looked around at the group of people. Some were leaving some were staying making fucking shitty remarks to make themselves look "cooler". She ignored the people who chose to open their mouths and snapped her hands away the girl who warped her axes. "Ya what ever. But just know I could still chop your heads off with these." With a flash of light, the axes were gone.

Was that it? A strained tension still lingered in the air, but the axes were gone, even if the blonde bitch was still trying to save face. She lowered her hand, hooking her thumbs into her pockets, and turned around on her heel with a sniff of contempt, staring out over the railing again. If she drowned everyone else out, it was still that beautiful, undisturbed view that she'd loved just a few minutes ago, but something about it had been soiled by everything that'd just happened. It was typical, really. "You don't have to stay for this," she answered with a low murmur, electricity sparking along her cap. Or maybe I should just leave. There was already six too many people for her taste here.

Connor sighed, the ax disappeared from his hand when the ax murderer called them back. He decided to stay out of the argument, for now. If anything were to go down he would call a prefect. The winter left the middle of the group and leaned against the railing of the roof, he did come to enjoy the scenery, not to be in the middle of a drama fit.

Myles put his crutch's foot onto the ground and pulled himself one step back to compose himself.  This was the worst possible timing ever for everyone here.  He sighed and looked about, he still had to thank Kayla for everything she did, but he decided to let her cool down before mentioning anything.

Chris was happy that things calmed down slightly, but he frowned as he looked down at his hands. He brought them closer to himself and noticed that they were beginning to cover his fingertips with a semi clear blue ice. He quickly shoved them into his pockets, hoping they would unfreeze on their own. "Has everyone cooled off a bit now?" he asked, layering on the punnage.

Larissa nodded in agreement as Juliette dragged her along, feeling relief more than anything at this point, even if she'd never met the girl who was taking her. Honestly, she couldn't be happier that Juliette was taking her out of that chaos. As they walked down the stairs, the summer let out a huge sigh of relief as her stress levels finally began to drop. "Yes. They'll be fine," she repeated, trying to clear her head. All she wanted to do when she first got up there was just enjoy the scenery.. Now here she was running from an almost fight and trying not to get mixed up in the wrong crowd with a girl she'd never met pulling her back into the building she wanted to get out of. This certainly was a strange day. "All I wanted to do was just have some quiet time..." she muttered, not really caring if Juliette heard her or not.

Freya gave a sigh, turned around and leaned against the railing looking out to the Beata property. Well, their loss. Maybe instead of being big babies they should start to test their gift's skills. She wondered why no one wanted to use their gifts a lot but assumed they were just scared. Then again, I shouldn't be the one to say they're scared of their gifts...
