He smiled at what she had to say. Gage began to gather energy in both of his hands. Real training? This should be interesting. "I'm ready whenever you are, Kirin." he took a few steps back before readying himself. Examining the situation and her sword. Began wondering just how trained she was with it.

Kirin took a few steps forward and lunged her sword at him, aiming for the middle oh Gage's chest.

Without any hesitation, Kirin lunged forward at him. The sword heading directly for his chest. Straight to the point, huh? Luckily he had gathered the energy in his hands so all he had to do was just manipulate it. He hardened a thin layer around both hands that would be able to stop the sword from directly making contact with his skin. Keeping his left hand open and his fingers close together (almost like a slapping formation), he swung his left hand toward the incoming lounge and was able to knock it off it's course, nearly grazing his left shoulder. While she was a bit exposed, he leaned closer to her and formed a fist with his right hand that was wrapped in natural energy. Launching his fist toward her stomach.

Kirin wasn't expecting fist weapons, but the movement was expected. He sword was flung off to the left, but she flowed with the momentum and spun off to the right, feeling the pressure from the incoming punch being rolled away from her. She dropped to one knee, bringing the sword around, aiming at the back of Gage's knees.

Gage was quite amazed at how agile she was. Watching as she evaded his punch and dropped down to one knee. His eyes shifted from her to the sword. It was rapidly approach the back of his knees. Damn. There wasn't enough time to turn his hand and block it. His only way of of dodging it was to throw his body forward. Which he did; barely missing the swing. He was able to feel the force of the swing during his dodge. He landed on the dirt pretty hard and quickly got on one knee, ignoring the stinging pain of him hurling himself to the ground. He pointed his index finger directly in her directions. Determination in his face as he shot out a beam toward Kirin.

Kirin pushed herself with her upright leg and slid across the ground, at the same time, she laid completely back on her legs, narrowly avoiding the beam of energy. Using the momentum from the slide she righted herself and lunged at Gage again, aiming for his chest.

Gage predicted that she would be able to evade it with no problem. As Kirin dodged the beam, he readied himself for a strike. Eyes carefully following her movements. She lunged back at him, similar to the very first lunge that she made in the beginning. The tip of the blade rapidly approaching his chest. Putting his hands in front of him, waiting for the sword to come closer. As soon as it got in his personal space, he darted his left hand and grabbed the blade. He wasn't able to fully stop it in time, but he was able to push it away from his chest and into is left shoulder. The tip of the blade had punctured him, causing him to grunt in pain. To his surprise, the blade was quite dull, but still left a bruising pain. Still gripping the sword in his left hand, he made sure to hold it tightly so it wouldn't wiggle free. "So you dulled the blade... Lucky for me or else I would have had an inch of your sword in my shoulder." He said to Kirin, blade still in his hand.

Kirin smiled at him. "Indeed." she let go of the sword and formed it again, bringing it down at his left shoulder. The old one burst into grey ooze and evaporated.

Gage had forgotten that she could easily brake the down the creations she made. The grey ooze slid out his hand and evaporated before it could touch the ground. He gathered more energy as she formed the sword again. As it came rushing down his left shoulder, he concentrated the energy into a tiny orb. he floated the orb up to where the sword would swing. once it made contact, it exploded, causing the blast to send both Kirin and Gage back a few feet.

Kirin was caught completely off guard from the explosion, she hadn't anticipated that at all. She was thrown several feet back and rolled across the ground. She got back to her feet and brushed the dirt off, her sword laying on the ground beside her. "Well, that was unexpected." she giggled and the sword burst away. "You're pretty good, even if you are a bit reckless. You blew yourself up just to avoid an attack. Perhaps you should have summoned a shield instead?" she walked over to Gage and extended a hand to help him to his feet.

The blast had sent him flying  back, rolling on the floor until he was facing upright. He sat on his bottom and took a few seconds to know where he had landed. He was a good distance from Kirin. Gage watched curiously as she discarded the sword and walked towards him. Gage listened, but also stood tense In case she might try to pull something. "You're not bad yourself" He reached for her hand and lifted himself up. "It was the only way I could create some distance between us...and besides, I'm used to the blast."

Kirin giggled, "No doubt. You've probably had a few, 'accidents' while training with your power." She smiled at Gage. "Well, that's probably enough practical training for today. I'm going to take a shower." she waved at him, "It was nice training with you. We should do it again some time."
