Sticks and Stones [Dewitt/Entrance]

Dewitt slowly paced up to the gate of Beata Academy, the wind whistling through his snow white hair and his baggy jeans t-shirt flopping around majestically in the wind as he walked. So this was the ever-so-famed Beata Academy that his parents never shut up about? It looked to be pretty... normal. Not at all what his folks had described to him, based on their descriptions, Dewitt had assumed that there were crazy superpowered teens running around everywhere destroying stuff... "Oh well..." He muttered to himself with a shrug. At least here people wouldn't wonder about his stunning accuracy or the fact that he was really good at skipping stones on bodies of water.

With that, he picked up a stick, pointed it towards a tree, and let go of it. The moment he let go, the stick with whizzing towards the tree, as if Dewitt had actually thrown it. He smiled to himself and walked towards the tree and leaned against it, sliding towards the ground as he watched his mother's Pathfinder drive away. "I wonder how long it'll be until I meet someone..." He wondered before realizing that he really had to stop talking to himself, if it creeped him out, it most definitely creeped others out. With a sigh, Dewitt picked up a stone and tossed it in the air, stopping it just above his lap and sending it whizzing forward, if anything, his Gift was a great gimmick to distract himself with, and it would make a great party trick if his parents would ever let him use it... Why did he have to have the biggest killjoys in the world as parents?

It wasn't going to take too long. Even in the freezing weather, Erin loved being outside. So far, that's where she seemed to meet most of her good friends at the school whether it was in the forest or at the track. Skipping around in her long coat and brown boots as her thick, red, curly hair flew around her face, she began humming a tune from her home town before the flying stick caught her eye. All of her attention quickly turned to the boy that threw it, who by the looks of things was new to the school... or maybe he wasn't. She didn't bother with the thought too much and instead walked up to the boy with a smile on her face, the freckles on her cheeks vibrant in contrast to her pale skin.

"Hello!" she said cheerfully, studying Dewitt closely. He looked to be about her age which piqued her interest. "You new here?" Her Irish accent was thick but light and thankfully pretty easily understandable. Somehow, even with all of the time she spent in the States, it was one thing she was able to keep while she was here for school.

A redheaded girl suddenly entered Dewitt's field of vision and smiled broadly, her freckles stunning on her pale, almost white skin. She seemed to be studying him very closely for whatever reason, and Dewitt just waved. She seemed to be just a little bit older than he was, and she had a thick, but understandable Irish accent. Dewitt smiled and nodded when she asked if he was new, "Yes ma'am!" He said cheerfully, "Name's Dewitt Spade! Who might you be, my dear?" He chirped, an ebb of an English accent invading his voice. He held out his hands and smiled once again, this time his grin even broader than it had been before. He picked up another stone and rolled it around in his hand as he waited for Erin's answer, curious to know what her power was, and, admittedly, if she was available.

She blinked a couple of times from surprise at his use of manners. That was something a little new to her. Normally it was just "yes" or "no" but this new guy took it a step further. It made her smile before he continued to speak. She listened, curious about his accent. It quickly reminded her of Gabriel, but she tried to push him out of her mind for right now. That wasn't who she was talking to at the moment. "Dewitt, huh?" she repeated, pondering on the name for a second before looking back up at him. "I'm Erin Gallagher! Pleasure to meet you!" She stuck out her left hand for him to shake, excited to meet someone new. She was finally making some good friends. Granted, all of them were guys but that didn't matter.

Dewitt grasped Erin's left hand and shook it happily, smiling all the while, "It's very nice to meet you, Ms. Gallagher!" Erin seemed very nice, but Dewitt wasn't very good at social interaction, so he just smiled awkwardly. "If I might ask," He said, still smiling, "What is your Gift? Almost everyone here has a different one, and I'm really curious to learn as many as I can!" He tilted his head slightly, still smiling.
