The Blue Phoenix (Open/Social)

Beata Academy, a school for those who have special "gifts." It was early in the morning with barely any clouds in the sky as the sun shined down on the earth. A boy who appeared to be about seventeen was standing in front of the open gate to the school. He had light blue messy hair with light blue eyes and light skin as well as light blue metal straps on the sides of his jaw with a medium, muscular build. He wore a zipped up light blue long sleeved jacket with white strips going down the sleeves and zipper area. His sleeves were so long that they covered over his hands and wore nothing underneath his jacket which can be seen from it being zipped down a little at the top. He also has on navy blue skinny jeans that are cuffed at the bottom with black sneakers with light blue strips on certain parts of it.

"So, this is Beataa?"

Edward asked himself before taking a deep breathe. He then smiled softly as he took his first step past the gate. He took a good look around the area and the people. Edward snickered to himself as pulled his scrap book and pencil out of his light blue duffle bag that he had around him. He then placed the duffle bag to the side and sat on the ground in front of the entrance with his legs folded and proceeded to draw what he saw. The front of the academy, the trees, the fountain, the benches and the students who were outside.

Charlotte had been roaming around the grounds, hoping to find someone to talk to when she found just that in a very blue boy sitting on the ground.  She sized him up, adjusting her red glasses as she did so.  A sigh escaped her lips and she finally decided to join him.
She walked up and sat down in front of him, her legs to the side because of her skirt.  Her lips curved up in a little smirk and she adjusted her hair a little bit before finally speaking to the student.
"Hey, you new here?"  She amped up her somewhat intimidating New Yorker accent, hoping to maybe strike a little fear in this guy.  It's never really worked that well for Charlotte, none of the old tactics she learned years ago work well for her, but she might as well try it out while she can.  This school is all about improving skills, right?

Edward paused and took another look at his surroundings before putting his head back down to the scrapbook so he could have the memory of what he's trying to draw fresh in his head. He was just about finished drawing the front of a building until a woman came up to him, sitting right in front of him. He didn't realize at first because he had his eyes glued to the scrapbook, focusing to make sure his drawing will turn out perfect.

Suddenly, a feminine like New York accent broke his concentration, causing Edward to quickly look up in front of him with his eyes widened, accidentally making a huge line across the page he was drawing followed by the breaking of the tip of the pencil. "Oh! Hello there." he responded, chuckling a little as he rubbed the back of his head, inspecting her a little. This was the first time that a girl has ever approached him so he wasn't just surprised about her suddenly coming out of nowhere.

Edward then quickly shook his head, breaking out of his little trance before nodding to the girl's question. "Uh, yup. This is my first day here." he said with a smile before looking down to his ruined pencil and picture, snickering a little before closing the book. "Do you just randomly sneak up on people like this?" he asked with a small smirk and an eyebrow raised.

Today had been great. Pepper finished all her homework and went outside to the courtyard, practicing her gift more. So far she had been successful when changing into smaller sized dragons, but was having trouble keeping the size there for a longer period of time. Now, she had gotten 10x better at keeping the size smaller and having control over it. She jumped around the courtyard in delight. The sun shown on her scales, today was great. Pepper loved being a smaller dragon because now she didn't have to worry about stepping on anyone or thing. She shivered at the thought of her and Cayden's fight in the forest and when she destroyed the cafeteria but shook it off. Bygones were bygones, she didn't want to dwell on the past anymore.

The white, Labrador sized dragon ran around the school grounds until she made her way the entrance. Pepper wasn't the best flyer so she decided to keep her wings tucked to her side for now. With an excited "yip!" the little white beast darted as fast as she could to no where in particular until she heard voices. The dragon came to an abrupt halt, her claws skidding on the pavement. A few yards in front of her stood a boy and a girl. She recognized the girl but the boy smelt... new. And kinda weird too. Shit! I ran all the way the entrance? She wasn't really used to people seeing her as a dragon and gave a small wine, her tail tucking under her legs as she took a step back.

Before Charlotte could answer, Edward saw something from the side of his eye. He turned his head as he began to hear whimpering. His eyes widened as he stared at the creature. "Wait, what?" he said to himself. He couldn't believe it. When he first heard and glanced at her, he thought she was just a dog, but no, this was no dog. "Y-you're a...." he said as he slowly crawled over to the creature, dropping his scrapbook and pencil.

He got stopped right in front of Pepper's face and sat there with his legs folded as he stared at her. "I'm not the only one seeing this, right?" he asked Charlotte as he turned around to her before turning his face back to Pepper. He stared at her for a little while as he inspected her mythical features. Edward has had fantasies of meeting such a creature, and now here is one, right in front of him. He was so stunned that he couldn't even say much else but, "You're a...." Edward then took a deep breathe, trying to get himself together. Suddenly, without a notice, Edward shouted, "YOU'RE A DRAGON!!"

His shouting caused some other students to turn towards the direction of the entrance. "I must draw!" he said as he crawled back towards his scrapbook but paused half way. "No...." he said as he turned his head back to Pepper. "I must ride you...." he said as he turned fully around and began to crawl toward her but stopped, blinking a few times before realizing that she was too small to ride. He then lowered his head, defeated. He managed to see one of his top five favorite mythical creatures but, sadly he isn't able to ride her.
