Friends with Alcoholic Benefits [For Spinny]

As soon as he entered the dorm, Harvey kicked his boots off and nearly ran over to the mini fridge. He swiftly pulled out two cold beers before cracking the caps off and tossing them in the garbage bin beside him. Glancing back at the girl whom he had just met, he gave her a cheeky smile.

He made his way to the glass coffee table, placed the beers down, and began to remove his coat. A small fire was lit in the fireplace, giving the room enough warmth to unfreeze the pair, but not enough that they would be burning in their clothes. Throwing the coat to the side, he flopped down on the couch, picked up a beer, and propped his feet up on the table. The red-head patted the space beside him, gesturing for Sloane follow his example.

He pulled a remote out from in between the couch cushions and held it up for his new drinking buddy to see. "Wanna watch something?"

Sloane looked at the dorm room, identical in layout as hers, but with various different decorative and furniture changes.  She pulled her arm through one end of her jacket after unzipping it, moving to the couch as he zoomed around the room.  When he plopped down, she pulled her other arm through the jacket, tossing it on the back end of her side of the couch.  With a sigh she plopped down onto the couch next to the boy, beginning to untie the laces on her boots.  She heard him ask the question and just shrugged "Sure, whateva works for ya." she said as she pulled the boot off of her left foot.  She tossed it to the right side of the couch, getting to work on the second one.

She finished untying it and tossed it to match her other boot on the side of the couch.  She raised her feet as John-Fatass-Candy waddled by and laid on Harvey's side of the floor ext to the leg of the couch.  She smiled when she realized the thing was too lazy to hop up as she reached to grab the bottle off the table.  She wrapped her fingers around the cool glass and looked at the label for a second.  She didn't recognize it, but figured it was local, as she over exaggerated her sip slightly to catch a whiff to make sure it was in fact, beer, and didn't smell off.  She decided now or never and took a swig of the stuff, pursing her lips and smacking lightly.  It was refreshing to say the least, and it tasted alright, so she figured he was either really good at bringing girls in and drugging them or innocent enough.  Either way, when she casually let her right hand hang off her couch arm, she had her fingers just a couple inches from her blade if need be.  She took one more swig, feeling the stuff make it's way into her belly, setting it down on the glass of the table and looking to Harvey asking "That tha local brew, Harv?".

Harvey could help but let his eyes wander over the form of the girl beside him while she was distracting herself with her first sip. She had nice legs, although they'd look better out of those pants. His violet eyes traveled up further, taking in her abdomen, her waist, and eventually, her chest. They were sizable, but not right in your face. Average. A C, if Harvey couldn't tell any better. He had some experience with C cups, some of which he considered the best experiences of his life. The boy let out a chuckled and brought his drink up to his lips before finally reaching Sloane's face. She was undoubtedly pretty. Her features were natural and soft, complimented by the earthy colours of her eyes and hair. She didn't seem like the type of girl to be bothered with dressing up, seeing it as more of a hassle than a way to draw attention. Just insecure and rebellious enough to stay out of the makeup department.

When he was done soaking in the girl's appearance, he turned his head, took a large chug of his drink, and pressed the button on the remote to turn the T.V. on. It flashed on, settling on a rather intense football game. He wasn't one for keeping up with sports. Names were shouted and numbers on jerseys flew across the screen, but Harvey couldn't keep up.

Sloane's question brought him out of the slight daze he was putting himself into. "Oh, this?" he held up the beer, glancing at the label before looking back at her. "Not sure. A buddy of mine dropped it off, said it would be worth my time. It's good though, I'll give them that."

He gave a quick flick of his head to the screen. "You want me to change to something else? Or are you a pigskin sport kind of girl?"

Sloane looked to the TV for a second, it was a pretty big thing to watch the game with her dad when she was back in the Steel City.  She just shrugged, it didn't matter all that much to her, she reached out, gripping her beer and pretty much downed the rest of the drink, and placed the bottle down kinda hard onto the table, letting it let out an audible 'clink.'  She then said "It'll work, football was a big thing where I come from if you couldn't tell from the jacket."  She then locked her hazel eyes to Harvey's a mischievous smile growing on her lips "How much you wanna bet I could beat you in a chugging contest?"  She knew it was kinda out of nowhere, but Harvey was obviously disinterested in football and she could tell the way he admired the drink he could probably hold his alcohol.  Plus, it would spice things up.  She just hoped he was smart enough to follow the golden rule of that kinda contest, let the beers warm up a bit first.

A small smirk spread across the boy's face. "I think you might regret those words."

It didn't take long for him to rise from his seat and make his way over to the fridge again. He chugged the rest of the beer that was still in his hand before tossing the bottle to the side and opening the fridge to get the rest. There were at least three completely unopened packs chilling in the mini-fridge. Grabbing all three, he returned to his seat and set down the cases on the coffee table.

"It's your call. Don't blame me if you're hungover to go to class tomorrow."

A small smile crept across her face, he wanted a showdown, not with just one beer, but entire cases.  This boy was on, she grew up drinking Iron City with her dad.  She never out drank him though, he could tie one up with the best of them...She passed out by the time she was halfway.  But he didn't seem like he drank Iron City on the daily or happened to suddenly be the heaviest weight she'd seen in the world.  So the game went from chugging to outdrinking.  With a chuckle she reached out, gripping a case closest to her with her fingers, pulling it closer to her.  "I've been hungover to class before, plus we got magic here!  I'm sure I'll find something out."  She pulled one of the bottles by the neck out of the cardboard.  She looked at the label one more time as a small smirk appeared on her face, her gaze shifted back to Harvey as she said "May the best drinker win, when you can't catch a flipping bottlecap, you're too sloshed, yuh, we need to not pass out, it'd be awkward for ya dorm-mates."

Harvey let out a small laugh. "I'm not sure I'd call it magic. More like something freakish." Grabbing the other case, he skillfully pulled one out of it's casing and cracked the bottle cap off on the side of the table.

The boy gave a quick nod. "Sounds good. Although I don't think they'd be surprised," the Winter commented and brought the bottle up to his lips. "Cheers." He smiled and tipped the bottle back, relishing in the cool rush that flooded down his throat.

Sloane knocked the bottle back and downed half the bottle setting it down as the liquid courage felt like it rushed through her veins.  She relaxed a bit as she say Harvey downing one of his own bottles.  She deftly swiped her drink up and kicked it up, downing the drink and grabbing the bottle cap from the table, flipping it off of her thumb and catching it in her palm.


"Easy Peasy, good luck beatin' me buddy boy, you're gonna need it."  She said chuckling lightly.  She opened a second bottle with her fingers, but after a sip, decided to take this one a little slower, leaning back into the couch, adjusting her seating after arching her back and stretching it.  She flopped her right arm back on top of the back of her head as she put her foot on the couch, letting out a relaxed breath before saying "What kinda music you got?"

Harvey smirked as he continued to chug his drink. Her confidence was cute. Unfortunately for her, the Winter wasn't a lightweight.

Draining the bottle from the last few drops, he slammed the bottle down on the table and flicked the cap up. It landed in the center of his palm, and he gave Sloane a cheeky smile. "Don't think you can beat me that easily," he mused. He skillfully cracked open another bottle, and followed her example. This wasn't a chugging contest anymore.

The red-head shuffled back so his head rested on the top of the couch. "Music, huh?" Pulling out his phone from his pocket, he tossed it over to the brunette. Though some called him stupid for not putting a password on his phone, it came quite in handy during moments like this. "Choose whatever your heart desires," the boy said, rolling his head to the side and winking at the girl before taking another swig of his drink.

The phone plopped in her lap and a small smirk grew across her lips.  She unlocked the phone and tapped the Spotify app, at first typing in John Mellencamp, but just shrugging and going to the artists' radio.  She started to play it, not able to land a song she wanted when it the skips ran out.  

Of course he wouldn't have premium, she didn't pay for it either...But a blue horse with an orange mane appeared on the screen and three whacks against the drum and a familiar bass riff started playing.  She lowered her head for a second and closed her eyes with a chuckle as a tinge of red began to crawl across her cheeks.  As The Joker was sounding off she took a breath and hoped that a swig of her drink would help remove the red tint of her cheeks.

With only hope she attempted to recover by leaning back on her side of the couch and coolly tossing the phone into Harvey's lap saying "Hope ya like Steve Miller, you cheapo." 

She couldn't say she didn't like the song though, it was a classic.  Maybe he'd never heard the song before, but the lyrics were almost enunciated so he would know and that bass riff was just oozing with now cliche 70's love song.

A delighted sigh escaped Harvey's lips as the quick drum beats filled the air. He was rather pleased with the girl's choice. She had good taste. Did she know he was a sucker for 70s' rock? Or was she just lucky with her choices?

"Heh, you know me so well." His foot tapped along to the beat. He closed his eyes and relished in the simple chords and the accentuated lyrics. There was always something so peaceful in these old songs. Maybe it was the lack of complexity that made it so calming. He hummed along with the tune, only opening his mouth to sing along with the chorus.

"Cause I'm a picker, I'm a grinner, I'm a lover, and I'm a sinner..." The boy trailed off when he realized he was singing rather loudly. Clearing his throat awkwardly, he glanced over at her, hoping she didn't notice the light blush on his cheeks. She herself had a slight red tint to her cheeks, and he wondered if it was the alcohol or something else.

The more he looked at the situation, the more it seemed to be in his favour. Her hand rested over the top of the couch, easily within his reach. The song held just enough suggestive lyrics to get the idea stuck in anyone's head. That, coupled with the growing amount of alcohol in their system, made for a favourable night.

Placing his bottle down, he position his hand beside her and leaned in close. The song was reaching the end of a pleasant guitar solo, leaving Harvey with a big grin. "You're the cutest thing that I ever did see.." he whispered, his voice low and his breath hot against her ear. He lingered for a moment, only to have Steve Miller echo his words a few seconds later. The red-head's fingers trailed up the side of her arm but paused once they reached her shoulders. He was an eager guy, but not one that lacked chivalry.

She flinched at his closeness, a red tinge began to crawl across her cheeks again as Steve Miller repeated Harvey's words.  God this guy was cliche, but she kinda liked it, he did have good taste in music.  It was just one turn of the head, it wasn't like she hadn't kissed a guy before, she had a boyfriend once...but she could tell this wasn't going to end with her going back inside and him going two blocks over to mess with her best friend.

But she did it anyways, she turned and tilted her head slightly closing her eyes and locking lips with the red head.  She could taste the beer on his breath as the first chords to Tom Petty's American Girl began ringing throughout the dorm.  She had no doubt from all this he was gonna return the kiss, why wouldn't he?  She gripped the couch with her palms just short of white knuckling them.  Doubt still crept around in the back of her mind, but right now it was smothered with the warmth of how close the two were.

He hadn't been expecting that.

Harvey was pleasantly surprised as Sloane turned and tilted her head towards him, pressing her lips against his without hesitation. He smiled into the kiss and pressed against her, his hands moving up to cup her face. The brunette's lips were as soft as they looked as he deepened the kiss, parting his mouth slightly.

He pulled away for a moment to catch his breath before smashing his lips back onto her's. He was more aggressive in his movements this time, his hands sliding back to run through her hair. The Winter let out a small groan as he ran his tongue over her bottom lip, asking for entrance. It had been a while since he had been in a situation like this, and boy did he miss it. Shifting so he was practically over top of her, he pressed against her until she could practically feel his heart beat.

Sloane was surprised at the aggressive movements of the boy, but she'd guess to come to expect that when she suddenly turned and kissed him.  She felt his tongue but subtly shook her head hoping he'd feel that movement.  She didn't like French kissing all that much.  But her heart began to beat faster as she turned around on the couch, letting him climb up on top of her.  

She wrapped her arms around his neck as she kissed him right back, her forearms leaned on his collarbone and her hands hung as she felt the warmth of this guy she just met.  It occurred to her again that she had just met this guy...Did she really want it to escalate?  But he kept chipping away and something about this guy just made her want to stay, maybe it was how cliche he was or his laid back no care demeanor.  But right now she knew this guy was a good kisser and that he obviously wanted more and fast.

Her window was closing and she needed to make a decision...

Her arms slunk around his neck, only pulling him closer and egging him on even more. He could feel the heat in his face grow as they continued their little make-out session. He was enjoying himself, but perhaps he was starting to get a little too excited at the prospect of getting laid again after what felt like a long time. Slow down... he had to tell himself.

His kisses slowly lost their eagerness and vigor, becoming long and sweet instead. Harvey trailed his lips down to the bottom of her jaw, and gradually made his way up along her jaw. Taking a breath once he reached just below her ear, he gave her a few quick pecks before deciding to make his mark.

It only took him a few seconds of gentle sucking on her skin to turn it red. The boy smiled and gave it a quick and soft bite. "I hope you're boyfriend doesn't mind," he breathed and moved slightly down her neck to repeat the action.
