This school wasn't what he had thought it would be at all. He was finding it difficult to enjoy himself, to go out and do the things he regularly did. He hadn't had a real drink since he'd arrived. There were rumors from older students about where to get the right stuff, but he hadn't warmed up to any of them to ask, and he didn't want that to change. They might get the wrong idea and want to be his friend.
The sunshine wasn't helping his attitude. The weather had been so pleasant for over a week, and it was pissing Remi off. Disgruntled and determined not to let the weather get in his way, the boy had donned dark clothing and a hoodie, sure that his message was clear. A bag slung over his shoulder, prepared to find his way deep into the forest and stay for hours, the boy had taken off across campus, walking at a pace that ensured nobody would try to stop and talk with him.
In the courtyard, however, he paused when he saw someone standing directly in his path. Not wanting to confront the person but also not wanting to go all the way around, the boy stood, rooted to the spot and desperately hoping for a way out of this situation.
