Kimply jumped up, the trance she was in vanishing immediately. She looked at Evelyn blankly for a moment, blinking. Recalling herself singing, Kimply's cheeks lit up, pinker than her hair. "Hey Evelyn. How long have you been standing there, may I ask?" Kimply tried to look casually, studying her fingernails with deep interest. Normally, Kimply wouldn't be embarrassed, but she knew how horrible her voice was, and tried not to let others hear that vocal disaster.
"Ahem." She cleared her throat, peeking up. "Jeez, Eve. I think that's the loudest I've heard you talk. Like, ever." She looked a little more relaxed, but still seemed uncertain. Closing the book and setting it to the side, she returned her gaze over to her introverted friend.
