James was itching to explore the even stranger country. The United States was one wonder, but Mexico had always been in his mind. Was it poor like some people claimed? Or was it a travel destination like the rest would say? The boy, although he knew this was a "dangerous" mission, couldn't wait to find out for himself.
The plane ride down had been short and sweet. There he met the person he would hunt down the enigmatic beast with. Noah was a tall fellow with surprisingly bright red hair. Although he did seem a little narcissistic than most people he met at the academy, James would never turn down the opportunity to make a new friend. He tried to push past his awkward English skills and chat the boy up. The Summer had written a few lines in preparation and practiced his English hourly before leaving for his flight. He couldn't tell what Noah thought of him during their conversations but it didn't stop him from continuing on the best he could.
A few hours later, in the middle of the night, they sat in the back of a tan, large truck with an open top and squeaky wheels. Although the road was bumpy and barely lit by the dim headlights of the truck, it was rather enjoyable. Especially with the great view of the stars above and only the sounds of nature around them. Besides the hum of the engine, of course.
There were still a couple of hours left in their car ride. Raising his arms up, he stretched them high and long, letting out a content sigh as he did. "We are fighting soon. Are you excited?" the dark-haired Asian chirped, praying that made any sense.
