| Rohan's smile lingered, but it was dry, strangely sincere but dry. When he handed off his cigarette to Jane, he pulled out another, waving it in Sam's direction. "Sorry, pal, where'uh mi manners?" There was a mock thoughtfulness in his eyes, like he was offering to a puppy. "Yi want 'un?" Before Sam could even reply, however, he flicked it onto the floor in front of the boy. Rohan pulled a third out for himself, mumbling to himself about wasting a light and lighting it. With the cigarette in his mouth, he shoved a hand into his pocket and watched Cayden conjure flames to ignite the cigarette butt. He said nothing. It was pretty cool, he supposed, but he came off as a showy twat.

| Montare frowned slightly, knowing he didn't have a lighter or anything of the sort on his person. Although, even if he did it probably wouldn't have mattered. One of the other students was quick to use his gift to light the cigarette, so even if Montare had anything he probably wouldn't have had the chance to use it. Trying to ignore the showoff-iness in the way the cigarette had been lit, Montare simply continued to stand where he was silently. | |

| Samuel didn't move when Rohan flicked the cigarette onto the floor. He merely rolled his eyes and dug out his own cigarette and his own lighter. He didn't need fancy tricks like Cayden to light a smoke. Taking a drag of the newly lit cigarette, he put his lighter away. "I've got my own, thanks." he said to the Scot. Between Cayden's naturally irritating nature, Montare's lurking, and Rohan's attitude, he was getting irritated. But that was partly his fault, although he'd never realize it. Sam was a very proud person by nature and believed he was superior to everyone else.
OOC: This description of Sam totally wasn't to lengthen the post at all. | |

| "At least I can count on you," she muttered to Cayden with the hint of a sardonic smile to her lips, eyes flicking back and forth as she monitored the electric tension building between their tiny party. Jane almost sighed watching the cigarette get flicked to the ground. What a waste. Now that she thought about it, most people around here weren't too forthcoming with their smokes, thinking back to her corny little dorm neighbor. For that, at least, the Scot was a small blessing. She took a light drag and stepped forward, breathing out smoke in Sam's direction. "Ladies, ladies, please," Jane said with a flourishing gesture that almost mimicked Cayden's, "A little charity wouldn't hurt. You could learn a thing or two from William Wallace there." | |

| William Wallace. Rohan wondered if she chose that figure on purpose, given his accent. "Ae," he said, raising an invisible glass and grinning. "To William Wallace." A sip, a libation, a toss. His eyes traced the small group and picked out the most idle. "An' 'oo the fuck is that?" Rohan gave a broad-shouldered point over to the boy standing practically in the corner. The lanky figure hadn't said anything the whole time he was there. He leaned into the group, but did not make an effort to silence himself; rather, he gave a loud, under his breath question. "S'ee a ghost? Ye' kin see 'im, right?" The look he gave Montare was good-natured, like he was ribbing an old friend or breaking ice.

| Montate looked up at hearing mention of a ghost, taking notice of the look Rohan was giving him. Trying to go along with things at least decently, he leaned in, returning the look to Rohan. "Why are you looking at me? The ghost isn't behind me, is it?" Montare only hoped that it was clear he was playing along and that he didn't honestly believe there was a ghost, let alone one right behind him. He could feel nervousness creeping up, but he managed to keep it from showing, at least for now. The last thing he wanted was to squander the chance he'd just been given, after all. | |

| "Yeah, he's gonna try and spook ya. Scotty over here is just trying to warn you." he said sarcastically without taking the cigarette out of his mouth. He had nothing else to say to anyone, they all seemed occupied with themselves or Montare. Which was fine with him; he preferred the attention of people who recognized his skill rather than people who couldn't care less about him. Cayden seemed to be stealing the show for the most part, which annoyed him further. Sam's cousin was a huge dick, which wasn't much different than most of his cousins. He had yet to meet some of the other Amell's that were at Beata, like Cayden's sister, Stephanie. Nor had he had the chance to meet the incredibly "popular" Valerie, whom Sam had heard was an absolute delight. 'In due time' he told himself as he stood there, waiting for anyone else to speak up. | |

| Slickly ignored. Hmph. Jane turned her gaze away, that smirk frozen on her face, and over to Cayden as he picked the cigarette from her fingers. She sighed and took it back, flicking ash from the butt. "Well you could've said please, but you're welcome anyways." Oh well; she supposed that was the price for the light. With a tilt of her head, Jane looked over to the lonely figure off to the side, waving her hand in front of her face as if questioning if she could really see him. "Huh, I dunno." Montare might as well have been part of the walls for the entire conversation, if you could call it that. He evidently wasn't the social type, but anyone could've told you that just at the mention of his name, if not the way he carried himself or the strain of anxiety in his jokes. "You'd be safe from ghosts if you scooted a little closer. You're almost as cold as Captain Edgelord today." Out of the two 'dark and mysterious loners,' as Cayden put it, she was starting to believe that she liked Montare quite a bit more. She still hadn't even caught his name. | |

| Well, the silent one was pretty oblivious. Rohan's smile dried up like a sink draining of water. "Sure, kid," he told Montare, despite the age of the other boy seeming . It was a habit of his father's he picked up, to call people 'kid,' 'buddy,' or any minimizing title with nonchalance. His father could get away with it, being the most powerful man in Scotland. Rohan, well... Rohan still had time to be the most powerful man in Scotland. He puffed his cigarette, tapping the butt with his finger and looking around the group. "Jus' sayin, you seem a bawherr in the corner?" he tapped the cigarette once more, this time in Montare's direction. "Any uh y'ill knae this kid?"

| "Captain? I prefer Major Edgelord, thank you very much." he said to Jane. He didn't say anything to anyone else; there wasn't much to say. He looked back to Montare, who was still lurking. Was he going to join the rest or was he going to continue creeping in the background? | |

| Trying to not look quite as awkward as he felt, Montare moved over towards to Jane after hearing her comment. That's what he was supposed to do, right? He also cast a glance over at Sam, who seemed to be almost less social than he was, but probably not. Montare didn't realize how moving over to the ever popular Jane Grey and immediately casting Sam a look may have looked, but it was quite too late to do anything about it now. | |

| Jane shifted her gaze over to Sam. Sarcastic, wasn't he? "Whatever you say, Lieutenant Dark-and-Mysterious." As Montare crept over, she slung a lazy arm around his shoulder, a wide grin splitting her face. "That's more like it," she said. Whatever it took to drag these loners out into a normal conversation. "Are you saying you don't know this kid?" Maybe that was a positive. His reputation preceded him. It might have been awhile ago now, but she doubted anyone would forget him sprawling naked on her dorm floor in front of another half a hundred people... There were even pictures, as far as she knew. "This is Montare Lupo. Teen Wolf. Montare, meet... Come to think of it, I don't know your name." Macbeth? "The gentleman over there is Cayden. You know Colonel Creepy Loner. And my name's Jane Grey, like the queen." She smiled. "It's nice to meet you." | |

| Sam flicked the depleted cigarette away. "Pleasure to meet you." Sam replied. He thought introductions were overrated and lame, but he figured he might as well say something. When Jane mentioned it, he noticed that he didn't know the Scot's name either. | |
