Eloise sat at one of the many tables in the library with a math text book and a notebook in front of her as she did her homework. She didn't bother with showing work or using a calculator because she didn't need to. Her work process was pretty simple: stare at a problem in the book for a few moments, write down an answer, repeat. She breezed through her homework this way, at a pace that was, to her, leisurely. She appeared calm and peaceful, sitting quietly with her legs crossed casually and her back straight, but her right hand was moving at an alarming rate as it scribbled down answers. The sound of her pencil moving across the paper seemed loud in the otherwise quiet library.
