The chilly autumn breezes had already crept their way into Beata's small valley, turning the trees shades of yellow, orange, reds, and browns. Eliana had always thought it was beautiful colors, the same as her hair, her skin, her eyes - and her pelt, once she brought herself to transform. It was always still very, very important though to savor the different colors of summer while you could. The young girl made well use of that, twirling and stepping lightly through the grassy fields behind the school, an assortment of wildflowers swinging around in her basket.

"One more should do it," she smiled, reaching over and plucking a small stem of honeysuckle. She'd gathered enough to hand out small bouquets to all her teachers, her friends, her clanmates - everyone she thought could use a bit more brightening up in their day. As she held up her harvest, the gleeful pride was easy to see in her eyes.

'Kids, order 66.'

It was the slightest whisper in her ear, a compelling voice that overtook her completely. Her gaze turned blank, staring emptily at nothing as claws came rippling out, piercing through the small woven basket. Her poor flowers were crushed back into the earth.

Hungry. She was so hungry.

And she was massive, near half the size of the stables itself. She had easily crashed through the wood, splinters snagging away harmlessly at her fur as she searched desperately for anything to satisfy her carnal cravings. The horses were the first to go. What ones didn't manage to escape the sudden destruction became mere snacks clenched away in her jaws. The stable-boy, he had been next, trapped under fallen debris - it was easy to take him then. Tattered clothes had found themselves stuck wedged beneath her teeth. A minor annoyance.

But still, even still, as she tore herself away from the old building, blood oozing from her muzzle down onto the earth, she was still starving. Eliana let out a desperate yap, growling and sniffing around for her next prey.

The fox's ear twisted around, hardly hearing the small cat-creature until he'd made the shift back to his human form. Saliva simmered at her jaws as her eyes narrowed in on the young boy, his words registering only well enough to pick him out as an easy meal. She stayed sly then, bowing her head and keeping low to the ground as she stalked up to him, her tail high and friendly as she quickly closed the distance between them.

Once Eliana was close enough, she made it quick enough, sharply leaping through the air and engulfing the poor boy's body within her wide jaws. It all ended with a sickening crunch. She tore him off the ground, shaking him around like a rag doll and sending blood into the air, sprayed in all directions. With a few more snaps of her jaw, broke off what meat she could, a mere limb at first, consuming it with ease and sending the young man flying aside. She licked at her jaws and turned to face him again, ready for more.

It'd been such a nice day.

The vibrant green of summer had faded out of all the leaves above him, so as he walked down the path to the stables, he was showered with an assortment of reds, golds, yellows, and browns. Autumn was a strange, in-between time of the year. Summer-time was for soccer, and football, and relay races. Winter-time was for swimming, and volleyball, and hockey. Autumn - specifically October - was.. A relaxation period, Noah supposed. There were no major tournaments happening this month. Just the occasional training session popped up every so often. One would think Noah wouldn't like autumn for that very reason, but everyone - even somebody as obsessed with sports and physical activity as him - needed a break. Indeed, autumn was a time for morning walks beneath the weeping trees, and scarves, hot lattes, and relaxation for his tired body.

Today wouldn't be a relaxing day, though. As Noah's boots hit grass, the stables now in view, he froze mid-step. An ugly, guttural snarl ripped through the relative silence of the field before him. What.. What the hell? The redhead squinted, zeroing in on the stables. It was definitely coming from over there, but Noah couldn't see where.. And then, all of a sudden, wooden planks and splinters exploded everywhere. And then, the beast showed itself. It was straight out of a nightmare. The monstrous wolf towered far above the height of a typical wolf, with gigantic jaws that could cleave a horse in half with one, swift bite.

And in between those jaws was a little boy.

Noah could only watch, body freezing up entirely, as the wolf shook the boy around voraciously. Was this a student? What the fuck was happening? When Eliana finally tossed the child aside, Noah couldn't see his body behind the wooden wreckage that had been created with the attack.

Before another thought processed in Noah's head, he was running, sprinting, as fast as he could towards the scene, tearing up grass and dirt as he went. In the blink of an eye, he'd whizzed past Eliana and come to the boy's side.

Or, what was left of him.

It was hard to describe what had overtaken him at that moment as he gazed down at the upper half of the child's body, scarlet pooling out of him like a red river. Fear. Disgust. Horror. Shock. Terror. Panic. Helplessness. He was going to die. There was nothing Noah could do. Having completely forgot about the beast, Noah got to his knees and gently pulled the boy's head into his lap. He was done for. No one could save him. The least Noah could do was make it as peaceful as possible.

The words tumbled numbly off of the Autumn's tongue, every syllable sticking another knife into his gut. "It's okay, it's alright, just don't look down.. It.. We'll get you to the infirmary, and you'll be just fine. Alright?" His voice was barely above a cracking whisper.

Simply trying to waste time while he waited, Montare had started walking around the campus. His walk had been uneventful. Until he ended up at the stables. He paused as someone lying in a pool of blood, or rather, half of someone came into view, with another student crouched over him. What. The. Fuck. Without another thought he sprinted over to the two. He was almost to them when a sight that was arguably even more horrific came into view. Turning, he looked at the giant fox, blood dripping from its mouth. Taking only very little relief and comfort in the fact he tended to carry his shortswords on his person, he ran in front of Noah and Ilya, drawing the swords from over his back. Montare froze for a moment. It couldn't possibly be Eliana... could it? No. No, it wasn't. It was not Eliana. She would never, ever, EVER do something like this.

Seemingly in the blink of her beady, blank eyes, another had appeared in the way of her meal. A growl resonated from her stained muzzle, impatient and leaning down low, ready pounce before yet another had gotten in her way. The Fox stared the shape of Montare down, focusing only on the gleaming silver blades in his hands. Dangerous, but every fiver of her being told her it didn't matter. She felt invincible.

Her jaws snapped once, twice and her red fur rippled in all directions, her muscles bunching up tightly before she pounced - aiming to land right on Montare head and sink her teeth into his sweet flesh, much like the cat boy before him.

Shit! Preferring to not get crushed to death, Montare jumped and rolled out of the way, getting back to his feet amd spinning around to face the giant fox quickly. He'd need to kill this thing as fast as possible if he didn't want it to kill him. Moving fast in the hope of doing so before the beast could get out of the way, Montare ran to the hind leg that was on the same side of the fox as he was, trying to slash at the back of the leg with his shortswords. If he could cripple this monster and slow it down, killing it would be a lot easier. Now he was focused on killing this monster, pushing fears of what it might be to the back of his mind. It couldn't be.
