| "Kids, Order 66."
Samuel had been on the roof, waiting for Sebastian and Cayden Hawke when he heard the order. Energy blasts soon flew left and right as he tried his best to destroy the measly rooftop. There wasn't much to destroy, but he tore through the fences and destroyed the ac unit on top of the roof. The benches also never stood a chance. His eyes lit up red and his hands were glowing with energy. He romped around the rooftop a bit more and was about to head down to cause more destruction to the building when he heard a noise. He turned but didn't see anything. The Winter sent a few energy blasts in the direction of the noise and waited for anything to appear.

| The moment she left her dorm room, Stephanie was thrown into the chaos that was taking place around campus. Without any warning, she was dodging rogue attacks from what looked like students. Their eyes were glazed and they seemed to have no remorse in their actions. There were people she knew, people who would never harm a fly, lashing out and attacking and destroying anything they could. Some people she knew would not be too much harm, but there were those few students who's powers were beyond healing.
The young blonde kept herself glued to the school's brick walls when a blinding burst of energy erupted from the rooftops. Peeling herself away from the walls, she stepped back away from the fray to get a better look at the scene above her. Something seemed so familiar about that burst of energy, but she couldn't put her finger on it until she spotted her two brothers rushing towards the halls. Their eyes were stuck on the roof until the slipped through the door and disappeared from her sight. Worry filling her gut, Stephanie quickly followed suit.
As soon as Cayden and Sebastian came into her view again, a beam of energy shot towards the two boys. The girl gasped as her older brother slammed against the wall a few steps ahead of her. Fear turned her legs into jelly and filled her throat with more lumps than she could count. Trembling in her boots, she stood dumbfounded and shocked until her twin's voice called. 'I'm fine! I'm going to check on Sam!' Sam? Their cousin Sam? I-It would make sense. The more she thought about it, the more she realized those beams had to be a product of one of her cousins. But why would he attack her brothers?
Rushing forward, she grabbed Cayden in her arms and pressed her hands to his chest. She could feel rib bones in places they were never supposed to be. Although she knew her healing would not be able to fully restore his chest to it's natural form, she could stop the internal bleeding that was sure to have started. "What's going on? Why's Sam acting this way?" she asked, her voice frantic and filled with anxiety as her hands started to glow against Cayden's chest. Soon, she could hear a faint singing voice from higher up the stairs. There was no doubt that Sebastian was weaving another one of his commanding songs, but would that keep him safe if Sam decided to unleash another round of attacks? "What's Seba doing? Is he going to be okay?"

| Sam hesitated at Sebastian, his mind going through a battle of wills. Sam's, Sebastian's, and the mind of whoever was controlling him. Sam's had already been subdued so it wasn't much of a problem. However, as much as Sebastian's will fought against the one controlling Sam, it eventually lost out and Sam sent a massive energy blast directed right at the boy's chest. He shot off more towards the stairway, where he heard a noise and thought someone was going to head up. | |

| The blast was too bright to miss. Larissa had been walking through the courtyard toward her dorm when the intense light caught her eye. Instantly, her gaze shot up to the rooftop of the building closest to her. She had some already rough memories of that place from the first and last time she had been up there, but now something was off. The only other people in this place that had that kind of ability outside of her were her brothers and she was almost certain that Daniel wouldn't be up there for any reason today. What was Sam doing? As she watched, however, the blasts had become more frequent, sending charred pieces of everything off the roof. She could see pieces of the benches flying and the railings were in pieces.
Seeing the roof falling apart immediately sent chills down her spine. What on earth could be going on up there? "No, no, no no no..." The sound of her books falling onto the hard concrete below her quickly snapped her out of her daze as her eyes never left the roof. Ignoring her things, Larissa took off running to where they were. Bursting through the door, the horrible sight that lay before her was enough to terrify her. The place looked like a tornado had torn through it. On the opposite side of the floor was another student throwing things and destroying everything. Larissa didn't stay long enough to see who it was. She needed to find her brother.
The stairs never seemed to far away. As she ran for them, it felt like ages before she finally reached the door that led to the top. Throwing it open, she frantically tore her way up the stairs, tripping over her feet multiple times until the destruction began again. As she turned the corner to finish her way up, she stopped dead in her tracks at the sight of Cayden and Stephanie already there, Cayden already seriously injured with the telltale burn marks plus some of her and Sam's blasts. With a sharp gasp, Larissa covered her mouth as tears stung her eyes. "C-Cayden!" she cried. "What happened?! What did he do to you?"

| Stephanie jolted as Larissa came crashing through the doors, but didn't stop her healing powers. Cayden was in worse shape than she initially thought and leaving him without even the smallest support would only make his pain and suffering more extreme.
Glancing over at her cousin, she gave her a pleading look. "S-Seba's up there, please go hel--" Her words were cut off by an earsplitting blast. Suddenly, as if the world had froze over, everything became silent. Panic filled the blonde's chest and her heart stopped shortly after. W-Where was her brother's song? She barely even registered Cayden's cry out as she set him down and stood up.
Sebastian was okay. He was okay.
She was going to make sure he was okay.
Without a second thought, the girl slowly made her way up the stairs. She knew she was going to see her brother and cousin standing there with bright smiles on their faces. Her twin was strong, there was no doubt in her mind that his song won over Samuel. This was all just some weird accident. Everything was going to be okay.
A few steps later, small, sandy blond hairs came into her view on the edge of the stairwell. H-he must have been so tired from his song that he collapsed. Stephanie took one more step and froze.
T-That couldn't be her brother. That mangled mess of a human couldn't be her Sebastian.
Her pupils shrunk and a scream began forming in her throat before a stray blast from Sam slammed into the girl. She was knocked down the stairs, clearing breaking bones in her legs, arms, and sides as she tumbled down the hard stairs until she slammed against the wall just like her older brother had. Smoke rose out of Stephanie's side, and sizable burn marks clearly coated her from her right shoulder down to her waist. The shock of the energy blast had knocked the already frail girl unconscious, but her abilities prevented her from meeting the same fate as her not-so-lucky twin.

| Sam, breathing heavily from the blasts, started walking towards the stairs. He stepped over the remains of his cousin without a care. The person who had taken over him was back in full control. He moved in slow steps, his body worn out. He looked almost like a zombie, pale skin with dazed eyes. His mind, completely controlled, couldn't comprehend that he was burning himself out. He was breathing heavy, but energy blasts continued towards the stairs. Pretty soon Samuel would use up all of his energy and collapse, most likely dying in the process. | |

| The sound of the initial blast made Larissa jump as her gaze shot to the top of the stairs. As the light from it filtered out of the stairwell, she could only stare frozen in place as Stephanie bolted to the top. Tears stung her eyes and blurred her vision as she watched almost helpless as her cousin began to scream before being cut off by yet another blast. A sudden shriek rang out of her throat as she could only watch Stephanie get thrown back down the stairs, the sound of bone crunching under the force of the fall sickening. Larissa could feel the bile rise in her throat as she tried to cry out to her cousin but stopped dead in her tracks as she turned to see her own brother trudging towards the stairs.
The way that Sam moved towards the stairwell was terrifying. He moved like a zombie, shuffling his way towards them with... nothing. There was no emotion, no recognition of what he'd just done or who he was attacking, no anger, no sadness, and what was worse was there was no remorse for what she could only assume was killing Sebastian and severely injuring Stephanie and Cayden. He looked lifeless under those bright red, glazed eyes. This was not her brother. She didn't know him anymore, but whoever this was was not going to stop pursuing them.
As Sam approached the doorway to the stairwell, Larissa frantically looked around for anyone who could help them only for her heart to sink when there was no one. She looked to Cayden first, hoping that Stephanie had healed him enough for him to get up but there was nothing he could do. Looking back, her eyes settled on Stephanie who barely looked alive from the damage she received. The only one blocking Sam from the rest of the building was her. As she watched him approach the doorway, Larissa's breath caught in her throat as tears flowed down her face. She couldn't do anything to Sam. She would not hurt her own brother! She could barely even control her power, what was she supposed to do? But his advance did not stop. She was the only one who could stop him at this point. She had to. She was not going to let Sam kill Cayden and Stephanie like he did Sebastian.
Everything in her body tried to keep her from doing it. Closing her eyes, she forced herself to run up the stairs, tripping over her own feet a few times as she tried to keep Sam from going any further. When she got to the top, she immediately shoved Sam back away from the stairs before lifting her hand up defensively. In her terror, she could feel her entire body tremble as she aimed at her brother, her hand already beginning to glow from the energy around her. "S-Sam!" She called, her voice quivering as she tried to control herself. "I'm n-not going to let you hurt them! So stop this... this..." she stopped mid-sentence, taking a quick moment to wipe the tears out of her eyes as she fought to keep her eyes locked on him. "Look, I don't want to hurt you, okay?!"

| Sam didn't have the energy for another energy blast, however there was still some energy left in the tank. He aimed a punch at the injured Hawke imbued with energy. It connected to the boy's chin, but the Winter never saw what happened because in an instant he was on his knees, body utterly exhausted. He looked to Larissa with glowing yet dull eyes. Somewhere deep inside, the Sam that once was begged Larissa to end it. | |

| The way that his body seemed to continue with him shook Larissa to her core. She could see the exhausted in his face and the way that he barely looked conscious within his own mind, yet he still continued to move just enough to swing one last punch at Cayden before the boy tackled her brother to the ground, clawing at his chest like an animal. The quick movement caught her off guard, sending her heart to do leaps in her chest as she took a step back for a moment to assess what had happened. Her eyes widened as she finally focused on the two: the sheer anger and hostility that controlled her cousin and the lack of humanity in her brother. When she could finally make sense of the scene, a gasp rattled her chest, half of it getting caught in her throat as tears stung her red puffy eyes and quickly rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't let Cayden do this. Not to Sam! Sam didn't mean it! This wasn't his doing!
Ignoring the desperate want to run away and hide from everything going on, Larissa forced herself to run toward the two boys aiming to murder each other. "Cayden!" she screamed as her feet took her towards them as fast as she could. Using that momentum, she attempted to grab her cousin by the shoulders but only caught hold on one of his upper arms, forcefully trying to rip him off of Sam. "Stop! Don't hurt him! It's not his fault!" she cried, her voice cracking from the pressure in her throat as she used all of her strength to keep him from successfully killing her brother. "Cayden please!"
