Old tales speak of a great snake as old as the earth itself, so monstrous that the gods were forced to split its powers. But one escaped this fate, and now lurks in a bottomless pit that glitters with diamonds, awaiting new prey. Students will be dropped off in the Richtersveld near where the monster is said to dwell.
