Evelyn Gets the Disease of Loooove. Or Something like that.

The walk was silent for a few minutes. The Courtyard seemed to stretch on in a neverending loop. Colette was sure she'd seen that tree before...and that bush...
She glanced uneasily at Evelyn. Yes, she was sure that the girl had some kind of feelings for her. Colette had no idea how she got them, and they seemed pretty spontaneous, yet here they were. The girl blushed at the thought of someone, male or female, falling in love with her. It was flattering. She had never thought too much about love, so she didn't know what to think. She tugged on her thighhigh, hopping on one foot as she did so. They were bothering her, and she needed to ask for the next size up. However, as she was hopping, she failed to see the large stone jutting out of the pathway. She stumbled over it and fell on her face, one of her shoes falling off from the impact and klacking onto the grass nearby. She yelped as she fell, and after a few moments, moaned in irritable pain. The place sure showed it's age. Though a lot of the interior was new, the building and it's campus looked old and were old.

Evelyn both welcomed and resented the awkward oppressive silence that hung over their walk back to the school. She couldn't quite decide to risk starting an awkward conversation or to just let it continue. She couldn't deny, though, that she was glad that she was just near her. More confusing and conflicting feelings filled her as she tried to repress and justify her strange feelings towards her at the same time.

She was so caught up in her own thoughts that she almost tripped over Colette when she fell.

In a sudden panic, Evelyn kneeled over her. "A-are y-you al-alright...?!" she asked, stumbling over her own words. She cursed the stammer that had affected her since she was little, but that was pushed to the back of her mind seeing Colette on the ground as concern flashed in her violet eyes.

Without realizing it, Evelyn had knelt down probably a bit too close, practically on top of the poor girl.

Colette blinked, face to the floor, and flipped herself as to face Evelyn. However, she did not realize she was so close, and the girl found her face inches from Evelyn's. She said nothing, wide eyed and blushing madly. "U-uhm..." was all she muttered. She was not hurt, the only blood being a faint mysterious streak under her eye from that morning. This close, Colette found it easier to focus on the girl. She was cute, but this was wrong...

Evelyn's body seemed to freeze in place now, her throat locked up, and she didn't dare look away or breathe. All she could do was stare and get lost in those blue eyes of hers as the pounding in her chest quickened and quickened by the second...

"E-evelyn..." whispered Colette quietly. They were currently on the ground of the courtyard. With each second, someone could find them. "A student may see us and get the wrong idea..." she continued, smiling awkwardly with sad eyes. She touched Evelyn's shoulder gingerly, but hadn't the heart to forcefully push her off.

"Ehehe... r-right..." Evelyn laughed quietly, hardly louder than a whisper. With their closeness, she could feel Colette's hot breath on her face, even if she didn't intend it. It made it that much harder to start to slowly peel away, her melancholy thinly masked behind an awkward forced smile.

Evelyn now rested on her knees at Colette's side as she stared away, unwilling to stand up all the way and continue the walk.

Colette sat up, rubbing her head. "T-that hurt..." she mumbled, looking around and spotting her shoe in a clump of grass. Standing and using swift hops, the girl made her way to the shoe, picking it up and placing it on her foot. Being able to stand normally again, she took a breath, resting her eyes on Evelyn. "Let's go." she said.
