| Qt-Patooties xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxvs. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Team Pizza xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Your stage is a very misty one. The town you've found yourself in appears to be just at the edge of the ocean, a steep cliff being the only thing keeping you away from the crashing waves and rocks below. The sea manages to spray still, keeping a thin fog throughout the area and fogging up the windows of the bright white and blue colored buildings all around you. All of you may post once to ready yourselves before the fight begins. | |

| Will had absolutely no idea why he and Kota had signed up for this "tournament." Even if it was all a simulation, it would most definitely put them through some serious pain. But here they were, about to go against two students he had never met. He wasn't sure what their gifts were, nor how well they could use them. Taking a deep breath, he looked at the surrounding area. There wasn't much to see, as fog covered most of the area. He noticed a cliff to one side, and the outlines of a few buildings around them. "Is it too late to have second thoughts?" he asked to no one in particular. | |

| So, nevermind the fact that fighting was never exactly her forte. Dakota twisted one of her small blades in the palm of her hand, trying to size up their opponents. The girl from before. She hadn't the slightest clue what her power was, only that she had her ways of making her, well, that and - the thing with the teacher and - Kota's face burned bright. "Don't be so stupid!" The spring near stammered, swinging in closer to Will. "Just - shut up..." Her knuckles turned white and she could feel her legs waver a bit beneath her. They were right, though. It was far too late to back out now. | |

| Upon waking up and seeing the dreadful cliff edge, Gage waited for this moment. The moment he took a year off from beats to train for this tournament. He hadn't the slightest clue of who the opponents were, let alone his own teammate. That didn't bother him though. He trusted her and that's all that mattered. Without any hesitation, he drew in a small stream of energy and created a small light blue dove. It flapped its wings on his palm before flying straight up into the misty sky. "I won't hold anything back." he said to himself. Taking in the scene and looking at So. | |

| Dakota tapped her nails at the edge of her blade, anxious for the match to start and practically feeling her heart leap up iinto her throat once the signal had sounded off. Before she'd had to chance to say much, the moment she'd taken her eyes off the strange dove in the sky, the other girl was already moving. "Will!" She gasped, springing out of the way of the stones, shrouded by the mist. They came in like bullets, shredding away at her clothes and painting the soft mist. Her arm and her leg stung, but she thought of no more beyond that. "I can't tell what their deal is yet. I think we have to get closer!" She grabbed onto his arm, giving him a sharp as they danced away from the fire. "Come on!"
Kota took several swift steps forward, pulling thin blades out from her pocket and holding them light between the slits of her fingers. Two could play at this game. With one swift lash of her arm, they flew in a pretty line - cutting across towards the both of their enemies.

| As soon as the signal was given, Gage watched as Ari wasted no time in attacking them. Being the aggressor may actually work against these two. He readied himself for his attack. His hands began glowing a feint light blue. Just as he was about to fire off his own attack, blades came rushing at them. Gage sidestepped to dodge them as fast as he could, but one blade was able to graze his left shoulder, tearing through his sweater. The thin slash was not to harmful but it did sting. If it wasn't for the mist, he would have dodged it unharmed.
The opposing team was on the move and Gage wanted to keep them moving. Maybe tire them out a bit. Lifting up his hand and extending his index finger, Gage fired seven small energy beams at the pair. He wasn't aiming for them exactly, but he was lagging it behind them to keep them mobile.

| Will was pelted with a few rocks, which fed into his gift, but still left him feeling sore. Rocks were rocks after all. After being pulled away by Kota, he rolled away from the energy beams. Those would hurt. He wondered if he could get his opponent, the girl, to fire more rocks at him. Soreness was worth the energy boost. "Good idea. Close range would make it more of an even fight," | |

| Rocks were rocks, but weird energy beams seemed ten times more painful. "Of course it's a good idea!" Dakota gasped, narrowly bending out of the way of the bright blue lights - for the most part. One advantage of both their gifts, she supposed; able to get the split second ahead, knowing their movements, and the fact that this Gage's gift was easy to see as just about anything in the world. It was blaring and hard to miss. What she hadn't expected was her own weapon to fly back at her so damned quick. She threw her arms up, gritting her teeth as the blade sped in like a bullet. Her knife managed to skim across it, throwing it away like a ricochet, but not with a sleek cut to her arm.
There was little time to stay still at all. The girl broke into a run again, headed straight for Gage, arm poised to swing at the boy at any moment; green eyes burning into him, daring him to fire away. "Get close to the girl," the red-head bounced up and muttered in the blonde's ear, gripping onto his shoulder for balance. "I'll try and keep him distracted."

| The opposing students were clearly trying to make this a close quarter fight. Gage did not mind this, but he didn't want to let them get too close easily. Energy spun in his left hand. Quickly constructing a dove like the one from earlier. He shot it toward Ari. Upon arriving a foot before Ari, it hovered and circled a few feet above her. If anyone got near her, it would attack and detonate upon impact.
Okay. That should cover Ari for a bit. Now to focus on the girl charging right at him. He drew the broken sword from behind his back. The sword was nothing more than the handle, hilt, and a small piece of the blade that was once there. Light blue energy quickly reconstructed the blade as it once was. He grinned toward the rushing girl ahead. Let's see her dodge this. With a quick swift of the newly constructed blade, a diagonaled blue energy wave rushed at her.

| Will nodded, standing up straight. He went at a full on sprint at the girl, ready to attack. However, the energy bird had stopped him. It exploded and Will absorbed what he could, but was still thrown back several feet. He groaned as he sat up, an annoying ringing noise echoing in his head. Quickly he got back to his feet, charging at the girl, hoping to tackle her. | |

| An energy blade, Huh? Dakota narrowed her eyes and throw her blades forward. Sleek, dark steel, aligned down the length of each of her forearms. She'd never saw herself as anyone meant to be a fighter, and had often skimmed through her training ever since she'd first joined the school, but then something changed along the way. She'd wanted to learn how to defend herself. She'd wanted to be able to keep up with Magic. She'd wanted to protect her friends, protect Will, protect his son. Protect her son. In the end, she'd known the exact reason she'd joined the tournament. How could she protect those she loved in this strange ass world if she couldn't even make it past the first round of some sandbox school tournament?
He was going to swing the blade out at her, like a projectile. She hadn't need to be a mind-reader to see that coming. But instinct. He had a pattern to his attacks. It was clear that he didn't want her close. Dakota gritted her teeth, throwing her arms up defensively and swiping to the side, ducking out of the way. "Try anything you want!" She taunted, "You can't ever surprise me!"
For a split second, she remembered being in the classrooms, cowering under a certain lightning girl's attacks, pinned, dropped against the floor, in tears. She didn't want to ever feel that sort of cowardice again. Sure, she was scared off her was right now, she'd felt it in every small tremble, but ... damnit. She was going to try and be brave.

| More blades rushed at him but he was ready this time. Swinging the sword as soon as they came at him. Knocking them off course and into the ground. Only a matter of time before those run out. The redhead doesn't seem to have any physical type of power. Perhaps it was mental? Or maybe it was something that benefited close quarter fighting. No matter. The range attacks did stall them. Gage hasn't had to move yet and has the luxury of the fight coming to him. Drawing more energy to his left arm, he constructed a small circular energy shield. It wasn't big, but it was enough to block small attacks. The shield hovered a few inches from his left forearm. Gage glared toward the girl. He took a step forward before running directly toward her. Charging with the shield in front and the blade ready to strike at her. | |

| The blades stuck themselves into the shoulders of Will, effectively stopping his movement with a yell of pain. He fell to the ground and he rolled onto his back. Reaching up, he tried to pull out a knife, only to realize that his arms would basically useless now. Any sort of arm movement caused waves of pain to hit. Great. He sat up, trying to stand without much use of his hands. He eventually did so, charging again at the girl. Hopefully a collision would throw her off, rather than a full tackling. | |

| The girl tightened her grip on her blades and pulled herself out of the way, her main weapons definitely not knocking to the ground so easily because they weren't the small, versatile blades she had been tossing before. No matter anyways. She'd been cut a few times, but he couldn't dodge her attacks forever. He was brash, charging straight for her. 'Hang in there,' she'd thought to herself, thought to Will, his pain echoing out across the clearing. Gage coming right for her, knife flying in from behind - She didn't think too much on it, swooping low to the ground running for her own opponent. Maybe his shield would do them both some good. She swept her leg throw, aiming to throw him off by the ankles, praying whatever she did would work at least a little in her favor. She'd already anticipated pain. | |

| Gage continued charging straight at the girl. No stopping him whatsoever. He didn't mind that Ari had thrown a blade toward the girl. Gage actually liked that idea. Every now and then, they try to attack the other's partner. They both had the range for it, so why not?
Just as he was about to lunge the shield at the girl, she went for a leg sweep. He hadn't anticipated how quick she can move. The collision of her leg and his shin/ankle area felt painful. Bone on bone pain was always a stinger. During the collision, he rolled over her and quickly gathered himself. His leg sure stung like hell, but he managed to get on his feet. She has speed and quickness, he thought. The shield and sword combo would only work if he can slow down the battle. That didn't look like it would happen. He dispersed the shield and the reconstructed sword. The energy seeping onto his hands. Hand to hand combat would make his movements and attacks quicker.
"it's been awhile since I've had to fight someone. I forgot how exciting it can be." He said as he grinned toward the girl.
(Ooc: misunderstood the blades she had thrown. Thought they were the ones from earlier. Sorry bout that.)
