It was unusually loud today in the DayCare. Children were agitating, but the reason remained unknown. The room as louder than it had ever been on a summer morning.
A small pup, her features vaguely human, was racing around, biting lightly at the kids' anckles, toppling over books and scratching the furniture. She was barking loudly in excitement, her red eyes lit up as all the kids ran around, some crying, some laughing. They didn't even know where she came from. Just that somewhere along the lines, this wolf had slithered out from under one of the beds. "Cai is coming!" she would repeat over and over again, her voice similar to a dog's growl more than the squeals of a three yearold. Her tail as lashing from side to side even when she tried to sit still and calm down.
And Cai was indeed scheduled to arrive at the DayCare today. After much hastle, people insisting he got placed in foster care, him lashing out at them and turning into a small, bt vicious wolf, her younger brother was to come the evening to live with her and the rest of children.
Sylvia heard footsteps outside and smelled somebody coming long before the doorknob twisted open. Panting, the pup dove under one of the beds, her cinnamon brown muzzle sticking out with her tongue lolling out.
