Oh What To Do... Empty
PostSubject: Oh What To Do...   Oh What To Do... EmptyTue Feb 11, 2014 9:54 pm

It hadn't been very long since Lindsey had really taken a liking to the gym. It was one of her favorite hang out spots where she could just do whatever she felt like since she was one of the only ones that ever used it outside of P.E. She liked to use it for indoor soccer, mainly, but it was a great place to just chill out, do some studying, and and even just feel the exciting air of what could be a leisurely game of basketball, volleyball, or just what she liked to do... indoor soccer. She could think of so many ways to keep herself entertained, but it was hard to enjoy it when she sat around by herself. In some ways, it had gotten so bad that she already knew all of the little creatures that made the gym their home. None of them really had names of their own, so she took the time to give them their own unique style. Her favorite outside of her own pet tarantula was a common wolf spider named Bitsy. She wasn't very itsy bitsy, but she was a very young arachnid who lived a pretty care-free type of life... whenever she wasn't trying to find food. There was Haiden in the locker room, Gus in the the opposite corner of the gym, and then there was Marley who liked to hang out under the bleachers. And these were her friends. Unfortunately, none of them could really keep her from being bored, and she hadn't told anyone of their existence quite yet. She preferred to keep them around for a while and not get squished. But suddenly Lindsey was dragged out of her thoughts as she heard the gym door creak open and resonate through the large room. Who in the world could that be?

Oh What To Do... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Oh What To Do...   Oh What To Do... EmptyTue Feb 11, 2014 10:25 pm

As a child, Noa had always been involved in ballet. Dancing had been her mother's favorite activity, and she had even opened up a dance studio in New York. This gave Noa the opportunity to become very good at the art and the girl had even won a few medals for competing in a few dance competitions. But that was before Noa started developing her gift. Having such a fickle ability caused the girl to become very shy because no one wanted to be next to the freak who liked to look like other people. So the girl became secluded and dropped dancing as well as activities with peers all together.

That's why it was strange to see the petite girl shuffle her way into the gymnasium, a medium size bag slung across her left shoulder. She didn't want to be around people, but after the holidays Noa was feeling a little pudgy. So she figured that maybe if she went in the middle of the day she could avoid people and also lose that extra layer of skin that she really wasn't appreciating. Only as the girl walked in, she realized that wasn't going to happen because someone was already here. Hmph. Well this was a bit of a setback. "Oh -er sorry. I- well I didn't realize other people might be here." Noa said, her eyes shifting around the gymnasium and her face flustering a soft red. Putting her head down the girl tried to scurry her way the fastest way she could to the girl's changing room without striking up a conversation, but there was a problem. Where even was the changing rooms?

Looking up at the girl that just walked in, Lindsey seemed just as surprised to see someone else in the gym. This is one of the only times she had ever seen someone else in the gym... the only other time being in the pool area, so she really didn't know what to say or do at that moment. "Oh, it's okay! I wasn't really doing a whole lot anyway," she responded quickly and somehow slightly embarrassed that she was caught in here by herself. She really didn't know that anyone else used the place, but after a moment the girl didn't really seem to know what she wanted to do. "Hey, um, i-if I'm in your way, I can totally go somewhere else," Lindsey offered, already standing up to grab her things. She didn't want to be in the way, and certainly this girl wasn't expecting anyone in here either.

Noa nervously shifted her weight from foot to foot. She shook the head at the girl as if to say that there was no need for her to leave, but she wasn't very good at getting her point across and had to settle for a startled "y-your fine" instead. Really she would much rather be alone- that's why she had come now- but nevertheless she would never ask the girl to leave seeing as she had arrived first.
But Noa did need help with something and after desperately looking around for her answer, with seldom luck, she turned back to Lindsey. "Where do you go to, um... change?" She asked quietly, looking at the brunette girl in hopes of getting an answer, and hopefully soon.

"Change?" Lindsey looked around quickly before she walked over next to a set of bleachers to find a door that was partially hidden from sight of the main entrance. She turned around to face the new girl and pointed at the door. "The locker room is right over here. It should be pretty clean. Not many people use it." She said. Maybe if the girl came back out, they could talk some more, but until then, Lindsey wasn't going to bother her with conversation. That would be a little awkward while she changed.

Noa nodded curtly for a small "thank-you". And quickly hurried towards where she had directed. It didn't take Noa very long to change out of her modest dress into an oversized shirt and shorts. The shirt was only an adult small, and yet Noa found herself swallowed in the abundance of deep orange, cotton-fabric. Even her shoes, an old pair of Nikes, looked clunky on her small legs, but Noa didn't really care. She wasn't one to dwell much on her clothes, after all, someone's personality was so much more important than their exterior.
With a shaky and slightly nervous breath, Noa opened the door back into the gymnasium, unsure of how this might turn out. She wasn't really feeling a conversation at this point, but this girl looked extremely friendly. The type of friendly that liked trying to start a long conversation. She wasn't antisocial but conversations with people she didn't know well were extremely awkward, and depending on how temperamental her gift was being, potentially extremely embarrassing.
