A moonless dusk

Jordan stood on the surface of the lake, gazing up at the sky that was filled with many bright stars. But there was no moon in sight at all, it was a chilly night as well but it didnt phase Jordan at all. Looking away from the sky he looked around the trees. His blue narrowing he heard someone, he knew that she or he was coming closer. Looking closer he saw a flash of bright orange hair. "Hmm..."

"Damn-!" There was a muffled thud as someone tripped within the tree line of the forest. As the girl tried to fight her way out of the bushes, she rolled forward, her body going down the small slope of the lake band but her long, orange hair getting extensively tangled in the branches of the plant.
Regina shook her head and tried desperately to get out of the hair trap, all whilst grumbling and letting out sighs of contempt. She was so rapt on trying to escape with most all of her hair, that she was oblivious to the fact that a body was standing out on the water's surface looking up at the blackened sky.

Their was no doubt who Jordan knew this was Regina. He was pleased of how she struggled to get her long orange hair free. And if she did get free she would proably tumble into the crystal clear waters, how ammusing. To think that one with such nice long beautiful hair would of firgured it out that she should of put it in a ponytail, well to reginas luck Jordan had a rubberband around his wrist. Slowly walkihg over he greeted her. "Hello Regina" saying nothing else the boy pulled off the rubberband from his wrist and handed it towards her.

Regina grumbled irritatedly as she fished the final stands of her long, orange hair out of the clutches of the bush. She flinched at the sudden address to her, especially since it was by name. She relaxed soon after she realized that it was Jordan.
Regina raised her eyebrow and cocked her head in confusion as he wordlessly held out a rubber band to her. It took her a moment to process where he was going with this. The teenage girl flashed him a thankful smile as she tied her hair back and got back to her feet, although not in the most graceful of manors. "So, what brings you out here on a night like this?" she tired to strike up a conversation as she dusted herself off, but she only worked on cleaning off the front of her jeans, not taking notice of all of the other places the dirt was on her.

Cameron looked back at the lake when she took the rubberband from him. Gazing at the reflection of the stars. Looking back over at Regina he shrugged "Came to see the fireworks their going to be doing in awhile and you?" Jordan asked slightly rasing his eyebrow, looking at her face he noticed that she had a bit of dirt on her left cheek. Trying not to make this even more awkward he gave a somewhat convincing cough. "You have something on your cheek."

"I just couldn't stand being inside tonight, but fireworks seem like a nice plus!" she said with a shrug and a smile. She couldn't help but blush a little in embarrassment as Jordan bro ugh the spot on her cheek to her attention. Why would he be looking there in the first place...? Regina brushed the thought away quickly, knowing it was best not to try and overthink such a seemingly minor thing.

Jordan made him self cough on purpose to get rid of the awkward slience. Digging his hands deep into his jeans pockets. "Whys that?" He didnt seem like the type of person Regina saw at the studio this jordan was different; a little awkward, quiet and shy. Looking down at his feet he found a pretty flat rock. Bending down and picked it up, "so um do you know how to skip rocks at all?"

Regina moved over to stand by his right side, look inquisitively at the rock in his hands. "Oh yeah, my dad taught me how a couple years before he left..." She couldn't help but feel a little bad for saying such thing, but it was the truth, and Jordan deserved to learn the truth about her.

"Well how about a game?" Jordan asked as he fingered around the stone before tossing it into the lakee, causing it to skip two times before it sunk to the bottom of the lake. Looking around on the ground to find some more flat rocks. "Here" he said as Jordan handed Regina two rocks and kept two for himself.

"Now, what exactly would be the goal of this game?" the orange haired girl cocked her brow as she made the inquiry, "All games have to have a goal, all of the one's I've seen have, at least..." Regina hoped that she didn't make a fool of herself by the way she was talking, but, honestly, she didn't have much one-on-one experience with game; she had learned much about many things by observing.

"We see whos better at it?" Jordan suggested not really having an idea of what the goal should be of skipping rocks, he just wanted to do it so they wouldnt have to talk so much or not be so, awkward. "I dont do much games." He said shrugging, this would be his first 'game' in beata academy.

"I guess I'll go ahead and start us off..." Regina gained focus as she set the rock between her fingers and prepared to send it off. With one last moment of condensed concentration, she flanged the stone out over the surface of the lake. Her actions were rewarded by three skips, their sound ringing out around the area rather loudly due to the silence. She now wore a somewhat smug smirk on her face as she waited to Jordan to make a move.

Watching Reginas Rock do Three skips, Jordan gave a impressed smile. "Nice one, but your going to have to do better ti beat e skipping master." He smirked throwing the rock into the air and catching it in his hands. "Watch this" he spoke as he went closer to the lake and bend down sending the rock flying out of his hands. It also did three skips but went a little farther then Reginas rock.

"You want distance," Regina smiled at the competition, "I'll give you distance...!" Taking her other rock, the orange haired girl prepped her mind for what she was going to do. She'd done this kind of thing before, albeit not in a long while, but decided she wouldn't pass up the chance to one-up and astound Jordan. As she readied her hand to send the stone on its way, she crossed her fingers and silently prayed that her plan would work. In an extremely fast movement Regina flanged out her arm and mentally broke her wrist to give her rock more momentum it needed to do what she wanted it to. The action cause her wrist to produce a rather loud cracking and snapping noise that resounded throughout the area around the lake. I think that was a little over kill... the teenage girl winced as she knew Jordan couldn't have missed the terrible sound her bones had made.

Jordan didnt how someones bones could break so easily and make such horrid sounds. Looking back over at Regina he studied her, she didnt seem like she was in pain she just had a worried look on her face. "Y-you okay?" He knew how to mend some bones if their werent any supplies around though he seemed to panic, he didnt actully have to deal with a broken bone it was his first time. "Maybe this was a bad idea."
