Round 2: Hosa Corvina vs. Destiny Williams

The snow covered the ground the snow obscured vision a little. Nothing moved beside the snow, and the two people on the different sides. Unlike the last area Destiny was in this area was bright filled with a whole lot of white. Someone could make a joke that her hair blended in with the area, but her red eyes sure wouldn't. Bow staff in hand Destiny looked around her breath creating coming out in clouds because of the cold air. The white-haired girl didn't really move to much besides to shift her weight. Occasionally she let the tip of her bow staff touch the ground creating dips in the snow. Her opponent? Hosa, an animal shifter.. Maybe she could use more of her power? Though she figured with a power like Hosa's she would go on the offensive.

Hosa couldn't help but shiver as she stared across the winter wonderland that was their battlefield. She was surprised that she had made it this far; and was planning to go all the way now! However, the chilly landscape would make that a bit hard. She already had an idea of what animal to turn into, but with her powers not always going the way she wanted; who knows how well that would pan out. Instead, she let out a soft sigh as she watched her breath curl into the air before disappearing, wishing she had brought a sweater. Oh well; this was going to be an interesting battle to say the least.

Hosa's eyes glinted as she stared down at the snow-covered field, before taking a few running steps; forming the image of the animal she wanted to shift into in her mind. A few steps later, she seemly disappeared into the snow. Her small paws pattered across the snowy fields as Hosa, now in the form of an Arctic Fox, hurried toward the now looming form of Destiny.

Of course Hosa had picked an animal that was known for blending into snowy landscapes; and hopefully the small size that the arctic fox had would make it easier to dodge around her opponent and make it that much harder to be spotted. There had been a few other options Hosa had decided on, but she simply figured this would be the best out of all of them.

As she reached Destiny, she did her best to sneakily make her way around; keeping her pawsteps light but swift. However, as she came to a stop there was a small flicker in her eyes as she came up with an idea. Her fluffy white tail lashed as she dove forward; picturing another form in her mind before she rammed into Destiny with full-force, now in the shape of a polar bear.

Once Destiny heard the signal for the fight to begin she finally steadied her bow staff, and held it in a tight grip. The trick she used last time would be useful for this fight, but an animal shifter would be able to blend in with the snow. Maybe some spirits could help with finding the location.

When she looked up she didn't see Hosa's faint shape anymore. Destiny glanced around a couple of times. Behind you.. A voice whispered in Destiny's ear, quickly she turned just in time to see a polar bear lunging right for her. It was to late to dodge, a huge ooff came from Destiny as the polar bear hit her. Despite the loss of air in her longs, Destiny held on to Hosa, and, with a pain in her head, she started trying to drain some of her energy.

As Hosa rammed into Destiny, she blinked in surprise when she felt the necromancer grab onto her. What exactly was she doing? However, the moment the energy draining started she knew the answer. She stumbled backwards, quickly trying to picture a smaller form to escape from her grasp. A second later, she found herself as a mouse as she fell though the air, landing with a huff in the snow. She supposed this would have to work.

She shook her head as she tried to recover the daze from the fall, trying to figure out what to do now. She felt a bit tired, and she figured that was due to Destiny. Getting close wouldn't be a good idea, would it? She turned around and started to raced across the field as fast as her little legs would take her, before she spun around to stare at Destiny. She couldn't get close, but she had to. There wasn't a whole lot of animals that could deal with stuff from a distant..No, wait, there weren't any at all.

She couldn't stay close for long, so she supposed she would have hit fast before moving back, then repeat until hopefully Destiny was down. She huffed as she jumped into the air, before letting her body shift once more. Pure white wings flared open as she took to the sky in a few flaps of the wings, before she silently started to glide high above Destiny. Now a Snow Owl, she huffed as she glared down at Destiny, before waiting for the perfect moment to strike. When she saw it, she dove down, her claws out stretched and her wings ready to pull her up if Destiny took a swing at her with her staff.

Destiny's red eyes followed the flurry of wings from the ground to up in the sky. She knew that they would know of her tricks, and thats why Hosa stayed away from her. She needed to come up with a plan and fast. She watch Hosa make a dive for her, but Destiny swung her staff at her to keep her away. Despite the pain that Destiny was feeling from using spirits, she sent them away, and crouched to the ground.

She looked carefully at the ground. If this was an illusion she could summon some skeletons and stuff right? She hadn't done this before but she stuck her bow staff in the ground, and closed her eyes. She focus, and slowly rose once again using her staff for support. She kept her weary eyes on the ground and watched as a Skeleton rose from the snowy earth. It's bones blending slightly with the snow below.

Damn it. Hosa barely was able to push herself upwards to dodge the staff in time, glaring at her as she retook in the air. What could she do? She had to stay away from Destiny but she had to be able to attack her. Maybe she could try to land on Destiny with a big animal and...No, she didn't want to squish her to death; even if it was an illusion. What could she...Wait, what was she doing?

Hosa had glanced down to see Destiny leaning on her staff, and...Well, that was really it. She thought she saw something in the snow but...She slowly started to glide down, trying to get a better look at what she thought she saw, before she finally realized what it was, and flared her wings in surprise. A skeleton!?! Oh come on! Now she had to deal with Destiny and a skeleton. This was getting a bit stupid. Maybe she would just squish Destiny to death. However...Nah, that might be her last resort. That would be really painful for her; that snow still would hurt to land on if she hit it as a fast speed.

She flared her wings as she gently swooped lower, trying to come up with a current plan. She couldn't exactly get close to Destiny as she would just sap her energy or shoo her away with her staff. If she landed on the ground; she would have to deal with both Destiny and that stupid skeleton. Gosh, why couldn't she have a power that was good with distant? She sighed as she swooped toward Destiny, her eyes searching for an opening. It seemed like Destiny was able to tell when she was coming; so no sneak attacks...Man, Hosa hadn't been thinking the fight would be this hard!

No, she could do this. Well, Hosa truthfully didn't care if she lost. She had just wanted to see how far she could go, so losing wasn't much of a deal for her. And besides, Destiny sure wasn't making it easy for her. So, she might as well go out fighting. She dove forward, barely making a sound as she moved toward her opponent. Her eyes glimmered as she let her body shift into a new form. A moment later she was a grey bird; a type of falcon. Her wings were now long and pointed as she swiftly started to pick up speed; going faster and faster. She was now a Peregrine Falcon; the fastest bird. An idea formed in her head as she soared toward Destiny, throwing her talons out as if ready to swipe at Destiny. She would like to see Destiny trying to hit her now at the speed Hosa was going.

Up.. Destiny heard again, she couldn't react fast enough at the speed Hosa was going. She took a glance at her Skeleton who was looking at the same thing she was. Weary red eyes watched the bird coming closer, the skeleton moved to intervene but Destiny waved it away. She tossed he Skeleton her bow staff, and straightened herself. She winced as she felt the tip of Hosa's talons touch her skin but quickly lashed out to grab the bird. Her Skeleton came over to attack with the staff.

Shit. The last thing Hosa had been expecting was for Destiny to throw away her staff to her skeleton and grab her the moment Hosa touched her. She attempted to flare her wings to escape, but she felt Destiny grab a hold of her. Out of the corner of Hosa's eyes she could see the skeleton moving forward with the staff. Damn it; Hosa wasn't about to be beaten to death by a damned skeleton!

She closed her eyes as she tried to let her body transform, hoping to escape Destiny's grip that way before she had an idea. She flared her eyes open, now suddenly in the form of a tiger. She let out a roar as she pushed forward, her mouth wide open as her sharp white teeth glimmered; her jaw going right for Destiny's throat. She was going to try to end this right here and now.

Destiny gasped at the sudden change. She didn't want to lose this. She quickly put her hands up and touched house face trying to use her remaining strength to keep her jaws from closing on her neck. She let her life energy trick go full blast causing the skeleton to fall apart and onto the ground, dropping the bow staff in the process.

Well, Destiny's gambit had worked. Hosa suddenly reared backwards the moment Destiny touched her and started her spell. She broke contact quick enough that all of her energy wasn't drained at once, but still felt wary as she stumbled backwards with a shake of her head. However, her eyes soon glanced at the dropped bow staff, and her eyes glimmered as she swiftly took off running toward it. Shifting her form, she once again took the form of an owl and scooped up the bow staff in her talons, before flapping her wings, taking flight even thought the weight of the bow staff made it a bit tougher. "I'll love to see you fight now!" she cawed at Destiny, although she knew the necromancer wouldn't be able to understand her. It was the thought that counted.

As she flew higher into the air with the bow staff in her grip, she wondered what she would do with it. She could fly some distant away and drop it, before trying to attack Destiny again. Her eyes glimmered faintly as she glanced at Destiny. Well, now that her opponent was free of her weapon; crushing her would be a bit less painful...Yeah, she might have to do that, but she decided to see what Destiny would do first now that she was weaponless.

Destiny was sick of this game. She wanted to end this here and now. She stood once again anger flared in her eyes. She put life back in her skeleton, and with the new energy she gained from her anger she raised another. She quickly grabbed the arm of the second one and ripped it off. She then broke the upper part of the arm and it splintered and cracked making a new weapon for the necromancer.

Oh come on! Hosa moaned softly when she saw Destiny rebuild that stupid skeleton and then make another. And then she started to make her own weapons out of their bones...Well, so much for leaving her weaponless. She glanced at the staff she held in her talons, trying to figure what to do with it. It was weighting her down, but just dropping the staff would be a bad idea; it could totally kill somebody at this height and aiming it would simply be impossible if she wanted to try to kill Destiny that way.

She paused as she shifted it slightly in her talons until she was holding one of the ends of it, before she flapped her wings once, then dove toward Destiny once again. As she dove downwards, she narrowed her eyes as she tried to aim, feeling a bit lopsided due to holding the edge of the staff but that hardly mattered. When she felt close enough to Destiny, she flared upwards with her wings, letting the bow staff go as she sent it flying straight for Destiny, before Hosa flared her wings a bit to try to keep out of reached of Destiny and her skeletons.
