In reality, it's just a wide, circular, and wooden platform raised a few feet off the ground. However, when Ms. Davis works her mirages, it can become any exotic locale you wish... although you still have to be sure you don't fall off the platform. Mrs. Jacobs and Ms. Harris use the ring for Gift Mastery and Defense/Combat lessons respectively, but Ms. Davis will let any two students duke it out here after hours (under her supervision of course).

Injuries suffered in the mirage are usually not felt in real life, and the illusion will stop before any fatal injury is experienced. Still, the illusions aren't perfect, and sometimes cuts and bruises can carry over into reality.
