OOC- Who'll be RPing the enemies?

IC- She had not been informed much about where these creatures would lurk.

Amelia had been rushing down the halls as soon as she had woken, planning to get an egg as soon as possible. What she hadn't taken into account was that their enemies would also be inside. She'd found out the hard way, running straight into the behemoth of a reptile lurking in the hallways. It first they stared at each other for a moment in shock, before the snake lunged to bite her. Back to her senses, the little fourteen year old stumbled into an open locker, shutting herself inside. "What the hell!" she yelled, shivering in the metal container. She had removed her knife from her pack, holding it with both hands to her chest.

Suddenly, two great blades plunged into the locker door, slicing like a knife through hot butter. Panicking, Amelia lashed out with the butcher knife towards the menacing fangs. The beast jerked backwards, hissing and snarling in pain. A fang had been chopped off by her blade. The adrenaline had started to kick in, and Amelia felt a confidence boost when she saw that huge tooth lying at the floor of the locker.

Under the sounds of the moster snake writhing, footsteps were approaching. "Oh no, you aren't stealing my prize! she hissed, now trying to break the lock that trapped her.

OOC: I'll be RPing them, but I don't mind if other people take control.

IC: Hissing, spitting, snarling, the snake reared back with blood spurting from where the fang had been severed. Writhing in pain, it swept its great tail, and the row of lockers next to where Amelia was hidden were all nearly caved in from the brute force. In the narrow confines of the hall, its movements were limited, but the monster snake was still as powerful as ever.

The monster rammed its head forward, bashing into the locker where Amelia was hidden. A dent formed, and it rammed forward again. The lock came flying loose, clattering to the ground.

Before it could break the locker door off its hinges though, it snapped its head the other way, attention caught by the vibration of approaching footsteps. More fresh kill. It parted its jaws in a long hiss as it stared down the hall, forked tongue flickering, revealing the purple egg lying in its throat.

As the footsteps grew slowly louder, a loud clang shook the locker Amelia was in, making a huge dent in the door and dislodging the lock. "Thanks, I guess," she muttered. The door was still stuck, however, and it took a few kicks before it swung open, crashing into the others with a loud bang. Thankful that the beast had been distracted, she crept as close as she could the snake's body. Her steps were light on the hard floor and it took quite a bit of concentration to keep silent. Once close to the monster, she lightly placed her knife on the thick scales, just above the backbone.

Don't turn around. Don't turn around.. She threw her entire weight onto the blade, causing a disgusting crunch as the knife cut into the spine. All that connected the tail to its owner was now useless muscle and scales, many nerves severed. Before she ran for cover, the Autumn shoved the lost fang in the wound for good measure.

If the snake had been annoyed before, it should be furious now. The heavy blood flow was pooling on the floor, painting whatever it touched a deep crimson, even as Amelia attempted to dodge the sticky liquid. Her shoes and socks were soaked. Not good at all if she really wanted that egg.

At the end of this, some students might discover it was a bad idea to store their textbooks at the base of the lockers.

The snake gave a long, pained hiss, moving to swish its great tail, but for some reason the lower half of its body didn't want to cooperate. Below the wound, where the girl had stabbed it, the snake had been paralyzed.

It turned around anyways, snapping its fangs at the girl, hissing, but she was just out of reach as she ran for cover.

"What now?" the blonde mumbled, glancing out from behind the demolished row of lockers. The snake had certainly noticed that it was paralyzed from ten feet onwards. Her hope was that the huge tail now blocked the beast's way and she now had a much higher percentage of getting that egg still resting in the throat of the animal.

Animal. Oh my, this was her chance! She sat completely still, outside of a blood puddle of course. Dark gray eyes focused on the technically dead tail, willing it to move. The tip twitched once, then shifted slightly. A grin spread across the student's little face as the tail slowly made its way towards the other half. No, she wasn't strong enough yet to move the entire snake down the hall, this was just a deadly game of "Why are you hitting yourself?".

Amelia knew enough about animals to know how a snake breathed while swallowing a meal: a pipe that lay at the base of the bottom jaw. Now, just to get the beast to open its big mouth long enough for the tail to plug up the hole...

The tail rose until it was eye-level with what was once its head. Three... Two... One... SMACK! The thick muscles collided with the skull, surely breaking something of importance. Once the snake would open its maw in shock, she would force the tail to betray its head and attampt to suffocate it.

Could a monster animal like that be confused? The snake certainly looked it as its tail began to move on its own, even despite its powerful thrashing. As it stared at its own tail, tongue flickering, for a moment it looked unsure whether to attack its own body or not, but by then it was too late. Several hundred pounds of muscle came smashing into its skull with a deadly crack, and the snake's head went bouncing onto the hard hallway floor, opening its bloody jaws.

"NOW!" she ordered the tail, and it responded by forcefully blocking the pipe and wrapping the rest of itself around the neck, hopefully below where the egg sat. It also used its signature tactic: constriction. After a few minutes of strangulation, the giant anaconda finally lay dead. Amelia let the tail drop to the floor, it landing with a loud thud. Sweat dripped down her brow as she shakily got to her feet.

"It's over," she panted out loud. Making her way over to the dead head, she peered into the huge throat for the egg. It was barely visible, far too deep for her to reach, and she wasn't looking to dive in for it. She didn't have enough energy to drag the body over to the office, nor did she have the strength beforehand.

As she evaluated the beast, she noticed the cleave she had made earlier in the spine. Maybe she could do it again at the neck and just carry the head to the office? The tiny Autumn soon set to work, severing the skull as best she could. She couldn't make it move any more, she didn't have enough power left for that. After gathering the monstrous head in her arms, she set off down the hallway, leaving a trail of alarmingly bloody footprints.

If anyone attempting to steal her egg now, they'd get a vicious hiss from the decapitated head and a flying knife to the gut.
