|  Your breath freezes as the doors swing open to a ballroom sleeved in ice. Snow wafts and swirls between the ribbons of ice hanging from the upper arches, casting dappled shadows across the white marbled floor. Tables of snacks and rich desserts fill out the corners of the hall, leaving the dance floor bare and open for the approaching couples. The punch bowl sits circled by a phalanx of frosted glass cups. You might want to keep your eye on that. Winter indoors. Such irregular sights have become familiar in a place like Beata Academy, but with Agrona's long shadow hanging over the whole school, you're forced to wonder if this is the last Formal you'll ever attend. Four crowns rest upon four pedestals, glittering like morning frost, awaiting the student royalty. The music begins to play. Are you ready? | |

| There was soft clicking of high heeled shoes as Manila walked into the Grand Hall. Her eyes scanning the nicely decorated room for any other student but her there, but it seemed that no one else was here. Her hands were folded in front of her, her gloves on her hands to keep her gift under wraps, a neat ribbon tied around each wrist.
She walked forward towards the snack table. Her knee length yellow dress swaying as she walked. She wondered how long it would take for someone else to get here so she wouldn't be alone. But at the same time she didn't want to meet other students with gifts. They were terrifying. | |

| Percy shyly walked into the grand hall his icy blue eyes darting about the decorations with awe. His white hair matched the snow outside and he shuddered at the thought of his gift during winter. He was dressed in a simple white dress shirt and pants and his black converse with a little red rose in his dress shirt pocket. He took a seat at a table near by the window and sat watching the snow with his head in his hand. | |
