Well, this was not the most ideal of situations. The semester continued to be almost over, yet here stood Grace, right outside the door to her new dorm. She felt like an intruder, like everyone inside would stare and judge her as soon as she walked in. So it was basically training for being late to class. Of course, she really did want to interact and become friends with her roommates. She could finally have friends, after all. That would be great! At the same time though, she desperately hoped they would be in their rooms. The sun had nearly set when she walked in, so maybe they were all at dinner. She didn't feel hungry at all, though. Rather, there was this gnawing feeling in the pit of her stomach, and she had already started to shake again. It was almost like her powers were punishing her… That was okay though. She deserved it.
Slowly she opened the door and stepped inside, suitcase rolling behind her. The tinny sound it made felt amplified by the silence that greeted her. Silently shutting the door, she stood there for a moment feeling strangely hurt that no one greeted her. Why would they do that? How would they know I'm here? She made her way to the door that had been noted to her, and she opened it up. Who used to be here? She'd probably never know. Setting her suitcase against the wall, she pulled on her jacket again and crossed her arms across her chest. Grace hated that chill.
