Ms. Moonlight

As they walked in silence to the courts, Leo watched Keirsta's body language. Was she embarrassed? Had she meant to say it? Or was it just an accident? Looking away, he focused on memorizing the school's hallways and paths. All the while trying to remember the rules for tennis.

The tennis courts seemed pretty old, A tattered bench was at the side, and the edges of the court seemed barely visible in the bright sun. Stretching, Leo took a racket from Keirsta's hand before nodding in agreement. Then Picking out a ball from one of the tubes. "Don't expect too much alright?" He laughed as he threw the ball up in the air.  Without hesitating, he swung the racket in an attempt to at least get the bright green ball over the net.

The ball sailed over the net and made it to the other side.

"Don't expect too much, alright?"

That made Keirsta chuckle a little bit. "I won't." She'd keep her promise, but nevertheless she did expect a good game. Why wouldn't she? It wouldn't be that hard to do so. Watching him grab one of the balls to serve, she took her place on the tennis court. Whenever he was ready, she'd catch the ball and return it right back. Shedding the black jacket all Beata students were to wear with their uniform, underneath was a short-sleeved white blouse.

When he threw the ball into the air, she watched as he whacked the ball over. Nice serve... She thought to herself. When it got close enough to her, Keirsta took a step over. Hitting it back, Keirsta saw that her pass hadn't been as good as his serve, watching the ball swerve somewhat as it went over the net.

Satisfied with his serve, Leo crouched ready to react with Keirsta's return. His thoughts slipped into the match, trying to figure out the right angle to hold the racket if she returned the ball to his side. His smile slipped into a frown of concentration, as he stared after the green ball in the air.

...Only to blanch as the ball just barely made it over the net. Thinking fast, Leo dove after it, Racket extended and arm out as fast as it could go. 'Hit it!'

He it tapped the ball into the air, sending it back over the net. A huge grin on his face as he rose back to his feet and trotting back to his spot on the court.

Dang, he's pretty good at this...

To say the least, Keirsta was somewhat jealous. As athletic as she was, her first time playing tennis was no where as good as Leo was doing. Was this really his first time playing tennis? Come on Keirsta, why would he be lying? She thought to herself, shrugging the thought away. He was most likely just really good at doing sports right away... Right? That was the only thought she could muster up that made sense in her mind.

Watching him send the ball back over the net to her, Keirsta ran to the other side of the court to hit it back. Since gifts were aloud within the tournament, to make sure she hit the ball a pale blue light projected from her palm. It reached the ball, engulfing it in a blue aura for a moment before sending it flying back towards Leo. "Sorry, had to reach the ball!"

Leo blanched again, as Keirsta used her powers to send the ball back to his side. "Come on! I didn't know we could use our powers!" Leo objected, readying himself to hit the tennis ball with his racket. There wasn't much he could do with his powers. Nothing with his holy powers would do him any good, and his wings were only strong enough to increase speed. Frowning, he was left in thought. 'I can't do much with that. I'll have to take off my shirt.' That Leo wasn't sure he wanted to do that. 'I should made a shirt with holes in it for my wings...'Shaking his head, he turned back to the ball.

He was surprised that he made it this far, determined to keep hitting it back and forth. Bringing his racket back as the ball closed in, he took a deep breath and swung. The tennis ball hit the tip of the racket, thus not allowing it to get much air, yet still getting it over the net.

A soft chuckle came from Keirsta. Wait, what even was his gift? Had she asked him before? Most likely so, and her brain was just giving a big fart. Shrugging it away, she kept her eye mostly on the ball. Mostly, because she wanted to make sure Leo didn't get hurt. What could she say? She did it with everybody! "Oh right, forgot to mention that!" Watching him struggle to hit the ball back, she still was surprised as it came whizzing over to her.

When the ball was close enough in range for her though, she hit the ball back towards him rather strongly, a satisfying crack filling the air.

Puffing his cheeks out, he switched to a back hand when the ball came at him low and at the opposite side from his hand. Twisting his body to allow for greater follow through, he swung. The racket whizzed due to the amount of power he put into the swing...and the tip hit the ball once more. Sending it straight into the net. Sighing, Leo straightened his back, a small smile "You're pretty good!" He paused then put on a cheeky smile. "Of course, you did't me we could use our powers."

Keirsta chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck and giving an innocent smile. "Yeah... Sorry about that." Grabbing the ball, she bounced it a few times on the ground. "You did actually pretty well yourself." Stretching her back out, Keirsta adjusted her shirt afterwards. "Hmm, you up for another round, or a break? Either way is fine with me." Keirsta wasn't that tired at all, honestly. I mean, it was only to one scoring point. Not all that bad, right?
