He wanted to take his time with this shot - especially with all these people around. If he were to get a hit in, than he wanted it to count; hopefully to do damage to the spider, and not have it ending up with an arrow in one of his friend's sides. When Hosa rushed in to distract the creature so Lotte could get away, he took that as a signal to move.
Thankfully, Jason acted before he could be distracted by the shiny, unearthly orb in Lotte's hands; firing his arrow - it'd moved so fast, it'd take a miracle for the spider to avoid it.

The spider roared in pain as the orb landed a hit on the side of its head. The ground seemed to spin for the spider. It started towards Hosa, kicking her towards Jason and Shin. The spider was pissed. Now was his time to attack. It spun to have its abdomen facing , Jason, Shin, and the now flying towards there, Hosa. Without a flinch, it cast out a spider web, the string sticking to everything it touched

Shin’s eyes grew wide. “The spider is casting a web!” He shouted at the top of his lungs, and reached forward to catch Hosa. He quickly dashed out of the way of the spider’s range of fire. He put down Hosa and turned to Jason. “Get out of there! He yelled. The wolf broke off of the Spider, and as fast as the wolf could go, it ran back to Shin. It held up its paw and whimpered. Shin nodded at the wolf, and it disappeared the same way it came. Shin turned his attention to the web, and Jason. Could he get out?
Slow moving ,drifty, sticky spider webs. Ich.

Lotte tried to run, but some web latched to her foot. She felt onto her face, her foot stuck under the sticky substance. Shit! She tried to pull it out of the web, looking up from time to time to see if the spider was watching her. When she wasn't able to get it out herself, she spotted the staff she dropped. It was lay a few feet away. She started stretching her body, desperately reaching for the staff so that she could get the web off with it. She couldn't use her hands after all, or the stuff would stick to them as well.

Ethel meanwhile recovered, standing straight up and watching the battle through dull eyes. That was very painful, and Ethel didn't expect it. Hopefully it would not happen again. The girl had never felt real pain since she had died...

Crack. Hosa let out a yowl as she was suddenly thrown sideways, her chest exploding in pain. She knew she was going to hit the ground hard so when she rammed into the soft form of Shin; she was thankful. She flinched as she was somewhat placed on the ground; sure she had a few cracked ribs and a nice bruse. She was going to feel this in the morning.

Focusing on her human form she managed to change back but with her arms held tightly to her chest she couldn't do much but watch as the spider spun the web in hopes of trapping them. As she attempted to catch her breath, she waved one of her hands toward Lotte. "Go help her. I'll be fine," she managed to wheeze toward Shin. Oh the pain...

Shin glanced back at Hosa and nodded. I need to get everyone the out of the way before the spider attacks again. Taking his Dirk from its holster, he charged for Lotte, jumping over stray strands of web that floated astray from the main webbing. He slid to a stop next to her and reached for the web that wrapped itself around the girl's foot. "Will you be able to make it to where Hosa is? " Shin asked hastily, sawing at the web. a few strands broke, and with one final saw, it snapped leaving Lotte's foot free. Holding a hand down to help her get up, Shin cast a glance at the spider. It didn't seem to be ready to make a move yet. Which gave them time to get together.

It really was a sickening sound, hearing Hosa thrown to the side, the harsh cry that came with it. Jason had been hit by the web as well, on his shoulders; his knees. He could move if he foced himself, but he was glued to the same spot - not that he really needed to run anywhere. He shot one more arrow at the spider, still hoping it would hit its eyes. If that hit then... Ah - shit. It was looking his way. No, fuck this...
The young man tore himself lose enough just to throw the entire, god-damn cross bow at the Spider. And so he did. "Come at me!" Jace shouted, holding back a laugh as he continued to tear the webs off of him, getting the webs off his feet and pulling out his violin bow.

Montare's paw had also been caught in the web, but he was able to cut it free with the dagger in his mouth. After getting free, he kept an eye on the spider, making sure to protect Lotte and Shin if it turned to face them. "Do you have any other ideas for killing this thing?" he asked Shin.

A whizzing sound emanated past the spider's head. It had hardly flinched. Its beady eyes turned to Jason. The crossbow had went no where. Just a few feet past Lotte and Shin. Seeing the boy take out a violin make the spider want to laugh. Well. Spiders couldn't laugh. So it come out more as a hiss. The spider's pincers continued to drip out foam. It was disgusting.

Shin looked up at the spider, then back at Jason. He had pulled out his violin. Shit! "Jason! You'll send all of us to sleep!" Shin shouted over the hisses of the spider. His fear rose. If the spider woke up before them. Jason would be alone to fend for himself. Not to mention that he would have to look over everyone as they slept. As Montare called for Shin, he shot the student an angry look. "We have hardly even tried out ordinal idea!"

Montare realized they would need luck for Jason's idea to work. Then he realized sleeping would make him shift back. "Don't do it!" he yelled over to Jason, really hoping he would not go through with his plan.

"Your lack of faith hurts me." Jason said in what sounded like something between singing and a sigh. He could do more than simply playing people to sleep, you know. What kind of musician could he consider himself if that was the best his songs could offer? He simply chuckled under his breath at the shouts of Shin and Montare, shutting them out and closing his eyes. He needed to focus, playing a simple Ode to Joy.
THANK YOU, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, instead of knocking everyone out - a straight blue, dim light began to radiate around the fellow students. The cobwebs that touched them instantly melted away, and any small scratches or wounds they might have would disappear - while it certainly wouldn't help those seriously injured like Hosa, it'd give his friends enough time for them to get back on their feet. A protection song.

Shin gazed in awe, this he did not know. Welp. Now he can't doubt him. Shin brushed off any extra cobwebs that seemed to decide to act like dust. And those soon melted away. "Sorry I doubted ya. " Shin smiled. Pulling himself to turn back at the spider. " Can you do anything to hurt only the spider?" He asked, swaying to the music. Oh! He remembered this song!

The Spider hissed with outrage. That violin kid is causing trouble! The spider charged, and the eight hairy, spinney legs moving in sync. Suddenly one of his legs gets caught in his own webbing. The spider hissed again, and it went down onto its back, the legs thrashing wildly above it. Tangling up it's own legs.

While the sound was nice to dull the pain, it still didn't fix Hosa's cracked ribs. Being kicked by a giant spider sure did hurt...She did however mange to pull herself to her feet, her eyes flickering at the large spider as it started to thrash around on it's back. "What now?" she hissed under her breath, making her way to her dirk in case she had to use it. It seemed it was a good choice that she got the dirk now.

Lotte got to her feet, nodding a thank you to Shin and scrambling away with her staff. The spider was still injured, and someone just needed to hit it a few more times to bring it down...
It was angry now, and was not fucking around. If Jason kept being so cocky, he'd get hurt. The girl panted, having run around a lot since the start of the battle. It seemed she was not as in shape as she originally thought she was. This would be wonderful. Could they really get under the spider yet again, with it this defensive and even more offensive?

Montare, seeing as the spider was somewhat defenseless at the moment, spit out the dagger in his mouth. "This better work..." he mumbled as he ran and pounced onto the spider, biting down on its stomach while scratching at it. He needed to do as much damage as possible, as he was already losing balance.

Jason had neared tuned Shin's voice out, not wanting to lose his grip on the power and mess up, "No, Sir." He said, keeping his eyes closed. The young man only knew how to do two things thus far - sending people to sleep and playing this enduring melody. His powers were strictly for support. He finally flicked open one eye, seeing the spider trip over itself and being attacked by Montare. "Now!" He shouted at Lotte and Shin. Kill it before it breeds. ;A;
