Awful Energy [Closed]

Destiny stood on top of Diane's Hill, her red eyes focus on the lone tree at the top. She visited this place often. There were less people that came here, and it was a good place to connect with the spirits in the area. She first came here a few days after she had joined the school. She met a pair of sisters here who could read aura or something. She remembered them saying hers was black. It was very suiting for her gift. She couldn't help smile at the memories. She was such a shy and quiet girl back then, and here she was now. She thought she met her limit on learning new stuff with her gift. She could use pretty much any aspect of it for a long time. She made sure to train often, though she was pretty sure there wasn't much else she could do.

The Spring shifted her weight then sat down, staring up at the tree on the cold morning. She closed her eyes and focused on the spirits around her. She was so focused on them, and what they were talking about that she wasn't aware of the approaching danger.

Edward crept up towards the Spring prefect, staying a good distance away. He had a sweatshirt on and the hood was up to make sure his identity remained unknown. Destiny was getting suspicious of him, and he felt that he needed to take care of her. He pulled out his bo staff, careful not to press the button to extend it so no noise was made. He noticed she had her eyes closed so he crept closer, silent as he could be. The Winter spy realized she was in a deep state of meditation or something similar so he pressed the button and his staff gave a quiet woosh as it extended to its full length. He edged closer to her and swung his staff sideways, intending to hit her in the temple area with all his speed.

Some souls weren't aware of what was going on, they kept talking like they weren't away of the human side of the world. Some souls were closer to the boundary between the two sides, and could see what was going on. They whispered a warning to the necromancer but it was a tad too late. Destiny managed to duck slightly but the staff caught the top of her head, causing the spring girl to yelp, and fall to her side from the blow. There searing pain in her head caused her to be unable to respond. The girl clutched her head tightly. There wasn't much she could do, but she needed to fight back.

Edward smirked and walked over to Destiny. He used his powers to vibrate his vocal cords to disguise his voice. "You know too much. That blow to the head was nothing. What I have in mind is much worse than a simple head trauma. I will make you squeal." he said, eerily calm. He brought his bo staff up and brought the end down on her ankle, effectively smashing it.

The Spring prefect let out another yelp, she tried to reach out with her gift to drain his life force. But no matter how hard she tried the pain in her head, and in her ankle took the focus. Not to mention the blow to the head scrambled her brain, and made everything fuzzy. Fear grew within Destiny. What was he planning to do? She couldn't use her gift, there was no one around. Juan was back at the dorm, and he wouldn't make it in time, souls couldn't help unless she was able to use her gift which she couldn't. What was she going to do? A faint clattering noise could be heard, but wasn't too noticeable.

"So, where should I go next, hmm? Any suggestions?" he said, pausing for a moment. "No? My choice then." He swung his staff down on the Spring's knee, not shattering it like her ankle, but it was still broken none the less.

Destiny let out a scream as a new pain came. What had she done to deserve this? The girl bit her lip, and let out a few soft whimpers of pain. She kept her eyes closed, as she took the pain. It was getting harder and harder to deal with. How long before she passed out? or had some internal bleeding? Would she be able to take all the pain til she came to the point of death? She tried ot get her mind to focus on how much life-force she had left. If she got too low, then she would have to kill the grass. Sorry grass. The clattering noise grew louder.

At this point, Ed's trained ears picked up the clattering but he ignored it. He decided to finally ask what he wanted to. Who cares if it was against protocol? He needed to know. Any chance to stay away from Agrona was a chance he would take. "Now, what do you know about Edward Jackson?" he asked with his disguised voice. He hoped it would also disguise any emotion he had.

Destiny let out a strained cough, from holding her breath for a bit. The pain was still unbearable. "I d-don't know a-anything! I-I just k-know he is a s-s-student at the school!" She replied in a strained voice. Tears welled at the edges of her eyes from the pain. She wanted to hold her knee, and her ankle but she feared that if she did it would only hurt worse. She kept her hands on her head, it was also a bit of protection too. The Clattering noise remained.

"LIES!" he screamed, using his power to vibrate his vocal cords to make his voice ten times louder. "Lie to me again, and I will kill you." he threatened, getting as close to her face as he would allow himself.

Kill her? No.. She couldn't die.. Of course a few weeks ago she might have welcomed the idea, but now? She wanted to go back to Brant, and be able to spend time with. She wanted to talk with Hieta again. She din't answer she just let out a few silent sobs. She didn't want to die. She wanted to call for help but no one would hear her. Noe one would come. The girl didn't notice when a loud ringing filled the air.

Destiny may not have heard it, but Ed certainly did. "What the hell was that? What the fuck did you do?" he yelled at her. He was so distracted that he backed away and almost dropped his staff. He frantically looked around. He turned back to the prefect. "Answer me!" he screamed.

She didn't do anything at least that she was aware of. The only thing she knew she did was try to deal with the pain she was feeling. Somewhere in her mind she could feel Juan panicking. Heh that was like him. She couldn't hold back the tears that started going down her face. There was nothing she could do.. Her gift wasn't working.. It wouldn't do anything.. It wouldn't give her a reading on her life force.. it wouldn't let her take his life-force, and it surely wouldn't let her get spirits attention. It's like her gift had completely failed her, but it hadn't. It was just focusing on something else.

All of the sudden a giant 25 foot tall skeleton seemed to appear out of thin air. It was a manifestation of some bones, and some angry spirits. A gashadokuro. The skeleton was in a crouched position, it looked sort of protective over Destiny. It reached out with a giant hand to grab Edward, it wanted to bite his head off. It was a very blood thirsty skeleton.

Ed suddenly when very pale when he saw the giant skeleton looming over Destiny. It looked like it was ready to go in for the death blow. Death by decapitation. Not the way he wanted to go. He quickly ran backwards, forgetting that his powers would give him away. "Where the hell did that come from? It couldn't have been buried anywhere near here. Its probably not even fucking human!" he said, his voice diguise dropping in fear.

Destiny managed to crack an red eye open, and look above her. She was shocked to see a giant skeleton. Did she do that? The Spring girl sat up shakily. One eye open as she looked around. The gashadokuro seemed to be protecting her, and going after her attacker. It hurt to move her leg.. a broken knee, and a broken ankle all on one leg.. She would really need to go to the infirmary after this.. She used her arms to help her stand not putting any weight on her injured leg. She stared in ah as the skeleton moved.

The Gashadokuro stood up from it's position and moved after the boy. It wasn't going to let him get away that easily. It reached out with an arm, and swiped at the boy. Trying to get him off of his feet, if it could do that it could get to him.
