It Ain't Easy Being Green [open]

Evelyn had her face buried in a book.

It wasn't that she was interested in it. She couldn't even remember which book she'd grabbed. Evelyn had just snatched something off the shelf, flung it open, and then slumped over like a dead woman. Things were more peaceful this way. Ethan had the bear, and she had a few moments of alone time, so she could just use this chance to nap.

This is just my life now.

She'd always loved the smell of old books, but right now, she was just regretting that she hadn't brought a pillow.
