Have a Drink [Closed]

It was later into the day, just a bit after classes were over with. The winter prefect, instead of wandering around the campus of the school, was sitting in his dorm for once. He was lazily sitting on the couch. His feet propped up on the coffee table, and his arm resting on the arm of the couch. In his other hand he held a beer bottle. Due to recent incidents he found himself falling back into bad habits, like drinking, and smoking. Though no matter how much he wanted to smoke he kept himself from smoking to much. He stuck with every so often, but when he wasn't smoking he was more so drinking when he had the free time which was one of those moments.

The winter prefect didn't look so great either. He still had dark circles under his eyes from not sleeping at all, but it wasn't much of an issue anymore. He didn't require that much sleep. He would sleep for about an hour every few days. He had developed insomnia. People would probably tell him to sleep, but screams filled his dreams every time he did so, and it wasn't pleasant. So he just stuck to what he did. The boy brought the bottle to his mouth and tossed it back, taking in a large swig of the liquid inside. He returned the bottle to sitting on his thigh, with his hand helping to support it, letting out a satisfied sigh.

Barry took a deep breath. He still wasn't back to his old self. It had been over a month since the Pyramid. He looked like the Walking Dead. His eyes were dark and sunken in with large dark circles underneath them. He, too, had insomnia. His hair was messy and unkempt. He looked like a walking disaster. On the inside was a white hot anger that was just below the surface, just itching to come out. He wanted his revenge, but there was no way he could get it right now. So instead he decided to visit his friend. His friend, who hopefully had alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol. He knocked on the dorm's door, and tapped his foot while he waited for the door to be answered.

Magic gave off a small groan as he heard the knock on the door. He really didn't want to get up. He was comfy in his spot, and it looked like he was sinking into the couch or being adsorbed by it, then he remembered he failed to lock it when he came back so he could just yell at the person to come inside. "Come in!" He called hiding the beer sort of so if it was a staff member he wouldn't get caught, or another prefect. He couldn't help wondering who was visiting. This dorm didn't get visitors too often, and Barry was off being weird, and Lamia was probably avoiding him. Who knows where Aspen was. He gave off a small sigh and waited for who ever it was to come inside.

Barry heard his friend call to him to come in, so he turned the knob and walked in, closing the door behind him. "Hey." he said, walking closer to the boy. "Got anything to drink? Preferably of the alcoholic kind?" He cut straight to the chase. He wasn't in a mood for much small talk, and hasn't been since he got home from the mission.

Magic was a bit surprised that it was Barry, and he noticed that his friend looked awful. Magic was unsure of what to say to his friend, but he requested alcohol so why not give to him. The winter prefect stood from the couch taking his nearly finished beer with him. "I know there is beer in the fridge, don't know about anything stronger.." The winter prefect walked away from Barry and into the small kitchen area. "Come over here, and I will figure something out.." He took the last swallow of his beer, and tossed the empty bottle away before going to the fridge.

Mason opened the door of the fridge and peered inside. He reached in an pulled out a beer for his friend, and another for himself. He couldn't help but wonder if his friend had ever drank before, so maybe just a beer would be a good start. "Try that to start with." He told his friend as he moved away from the fridge with his own new beer in hand. He quickly popped off the cap, and took a drink from the bottle.

Barry popped off the cap of his beer and took a big swig of it. It didn't taste great, but it didn't taste bad either. "Thanks." he said simply, moving back to the couch. He continued to drink in virtual silence, not sure what to expect from the drink. He'd never had any alcohol before, so he didn't know if there was a clear sign it was working.

Magic watched the boy move back over to the couch. The winter couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with the boy, and he guess it wouldn't be a good time to tell Barry that he almost killed his brother, if it wasn't for the fact that Ed pulled away at the last second, Magic would have to explain why there was a dead student.. and that wouldn't go well. Clearing the thoughts from his head, Magic decided to check the freezer for any stronger alcohol.

After digging around in the freezer he found a bottle of vodka that was hidden in the back. "Well that works." The winter prefect said staring at the bottle he just pulled out. He didn't have anything to mix it with, and drinking it straight would surely have some effects. Maybe this would be something the autumn was looking for. Quickly grabbing the smallest glasses he could find, he joined Barry on the couch. "I will let you try this after you finish that." Magic poured a little bit of the strong drink in one of the small glasses for himself. He picked up the cup and quickly knocked back the small amount of the clear liquid, letting the familiar burn of the drink overcome his throat.

It didn't take long for Barry to finish the beer. It had a bad aftertaste and he wanted to get rid of it with the vodka, not knowing what it tasted like. "Alright, hand some over. I'm not looking for casual drinking." he told Magic. He was looking to get wasted. He wanted a few hours to forget everything. That's all he wanted. And a good night sleep wouldn't hurt either. The only drawback would be the hangover, but it was a good trade-off.

Magic set down his glass, and looked over at Barry. This guy downed a beer easily, and nothing happened? Hmm.. Magic shrugged, and leaned forward filling Barry's glass with a little bit, and then filling his own again. "There you go." The winter prefect picked up his own glass tossing it back again. Downing the liquid in one go, feeling a slight less burn this time. Well he was certainly tipsy now. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. A beer, and something around two shots of vodka? Yeah that wasn't a good combo. He knew he could take a few more shots before he was drunk, and at this rate he was probably going to get there.

Barry looked at the glass for a moment before downing it in one gulp. He grimaced as it burned his throat slightly, but he set the glass down so he could fill it up more. "Should I be feeling something right now? Because I'm not." he asked his friend, confused. He thought that a first time drinker like himself would be drunk by now. Maybe he was already drunk and didn't know it. That was hardly the case, but he didn't know.

Magic looked at his friend, and narrowed his gray-green eyes. "Well I'm feeling something, and I only had one more shot than you."The winter prefect said, still holding his empty glass in his hand. He quickly poured himself another shot, and drank it. "Now two more. Is this your first time drinking?" Mason asked. His mind was feeling a little fuzzy now. Everything felt slightly warmer.

Barry nodded as he downed his second shot. "I've never touched alcohol before in my life." he responded. If Magic was feeling something, and he wasn't, what did that mean? Did he just have a higher tolerance than his friend? No, that couldn't be it. Magic's probably been drinking for awhile. There had to be something else behind it. But what could it be?

Magic let out a hum as he thought. "You should certainly be feeling something by now.." The prefect said in a slightly lighter tone than his usual tone. He poured another shot for himself, drank it and then set the glass down once again with a satisfied hum. "Maybe.. Maybe it has something to do with your gift?" Mason suggested. "Cause before you had to.. to eat all that food before." A small smile appeared on Mason's face for a moment before he stood. "Since that doesn't seem to be working.. Wanna try a smoke?" He walked over to one of the drawer in the kitchen. He opened the draw and dug around for a moment until he produced a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. He tossed them down on the coffee table before he plopped down on the couch again.

He nodded. "Probably. Great. I guess I can't get drunk. Perfect." he said, right before Magic laid the cigarettes down onto the table. The Autumn looked at them with disgust. "No thanks. Smoke plus lungs equals not as much endurance. That would be bad for my gift." Cigarettes have always disgusted him, and his dad had smoked when he lived at home. It always made him cough until he nearly vomited. His gift didn't like smoking either.

"Aw come on! It's just one." Magic said acting more like his old self before he came to Beata. "One won't hurt. It will relieve stress ya know." He was trying to convince the boy even though Mason hadn't picked up a cigarette yet himself. The winter prefect pour himself more vodka, filling it up a little more than he did before. Even though it was more than before, he downed it just as easily as the rest. "Heh. Never imagined you would be the one sitting next to me as I get drunk off my ass." He commented.
