Truth or Dare? [open]

It was past curfew when Jane went slipping into the lounge, and only a little under an hour later when everything was set up for their little get-together. Cushions, blankets, all the couches moved to form a wide semi-circle around the center of the room. She only hoped the rest of the school was feeling as rebellious as she was when she sent out the Esper message inviting them all to the lounge. Truth or dare. A classic. It'd been too long since she last played.

Now was just the waiting game. She lounged back on the couch, casting a glance at her phone as it started to light up with notifications.

Evelyn was the first one there. Her eyes flickered from behind her bangs, nervously searching for another face, but it looked like she'd been a bit early. She sucked in her breath as she stepped inside, hands folded in front of her. The other girl didn't seem to notice her as she made her way silently toward the center of the room. What am I doing here?

The next to arrive was Erin. Nothing was going on in her room and the boredom was eating her alive. Truth or Dare wasn't exactly her thing, but she wanted to get out a little bit. Not bothering to change before she arrived, she quietly walked in the lounge in a lime green tank top and gray sweat pants. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun with strands flying in every direction, but a big smile adorned her face. With a small skip in her step, she walked to one of the cushions strewn on the floor and plopped down on it, wrapping her arms around it tight and getting comfortable lying on the floor. She didn't bother saying anything, but she was pretty pumped to see what this had in store.

A few more soon shuffled in afterwords, none of them quite knowing each other, but perhaps that would change by the end of the night.

There was Preston, of course, who had happily showed up and taken a set beside the ring-leader of the evening, a case of beer to spice up the afternoon. "If anyone asks, you don't know how it got here." He mused to the room with a crooked smile, cracking open a bottle for himself and getting comfortable on the couch.

Another young man had appeared, taking up the Raichu on his offer and grabbing a drink for himself, sitting near the corner of the room. Whilst he, the Ginger, wasn't big on these sort of games, he couldn't think of a better way to kill the evening.

Not far from where Erin sat, Brailynn made herself comfortable. "Hello, there. Mind if I take this spot?" The girl asked with a warm smile. She hadn't anything better to do for the evening.

And finally, one of the newest students found her way into the room. She wasn't exactly invited, nor was she a well known face around these parts, but she had heard a few things or so passing through the hallways. If nothing else, Dakota thought it might prove to be an interesting show. She stood off by one of the walls, watching and waiting.

It looked like the room was already filling up. Good. She didn't expect to be stood up, but it was nice to know she wouldn't be stuck alone with two or three complete strangers. If they were lucky, there'd be many more on their way. Jane returned Preston's crooked smirk, shooting him a wink. All in confidence, obviously. "Of course. My lips are sealed." She hadn't exactly planned on drinking tonight, but maybe a sip or two wouldn't hurt later on.

Evelyn stared. Not at Preston, even though it was nice to see a familiar face, even if it was someone she hardly knew. Her gaze was locked on the case in his hand.



I don't need it.

The Autumn was probably one of the last to enter, noticing all the unfamiliar faces. He did spot the case of beer, however, and grabbed one. He assumed it was free claim. Looking around the room he spotted the pigtails girl he saw a few days ago. What was her name? Dakota? Yeah, that was it. Dakota was her name. He winked at her as he sat over by her. "Hey now. Long time no see." he said, smiling. He cracked open the can and took a big swig. Drinking was nothing new in his life. He looked around at the plethora of faces in the room. This would definitely be the most interesting game of Truth or Dare he'd ever play.

It didn't take long for a crowd of people to walk in and take their seats in the room. Erin was slightly surprised by the outcome but it was exciting. She recognized no one here, but that was okay. It was exciting, almost. It was a good time to make new friends if this went well. It took an even more interesting turn when one boy walked in carrying a case of beer that seemed to disappear as quickly as it had arrived as more students crawled in. It didn't bother her in the slightest, but it made her laugh at how fast the students grabbed at it like vultures almost.

"Mind if I take this spot?" Erin suddenly looked up off of her pillow as a blond girl walked over next to her and asked if she could sit down. "Not at all! Make yourself at home!" Erin replied with a short giggle, moving over a little to make sure there was plenty of room for Brailynn. It didn't take her long to look back around the room to see the Autumn prefect walk in with a flask of bourbon. Still better off than the last prefects, she guessed with a small smile.

Jane grinned as a few more familiar faces filtered in. Jules, pink hair. She leaned back on the sofa, crossing her legs. "I invited as many people as I could," she answered, brushing her hair over her shoulder. "The more the merrier, right?" A game of truth or dare could work with just this group, but where was the fun in that?

The flash of a silver flask snipped the last thread of resistance in her head. Fine. Fine. One drink wouldn't hurt. Or two. Or three. Or... oh, well fuck it. People were already starting to drink and the game hadn't even started yet. Evelyn moved and plucked out a beer from Preston's case, cracking it open with a sharp twist. She froze where she stood when she caught Jonathan's eye, gave a weak smile of greeting, and hurried back to her old seat with the bottle cradled in her hands.

Maisie found herself slipping into the room, following the message Jane had left everyone. Jane was someone she'd once thought a bit of a friend; at least an acquaintance, someone to trust. They'd met a few times, but not any time recently, and when Maisie found that message while browsing Esper, she decided to go. To assert herself as a friend. She'd been distancing herself from more and more people and din't want to become some loser like the people she picked on in Dallas. Besides; Truth or Dare was a fun party game, and she'd be lame not to go.

Rohan came for similar reasons. The new Autumn didn't know many people in the school; he'd talked to a few in and on the way to class, but hadn't cemented himself in any friendships. Browsing through his new Esper account, he thought to change that, and what luck! There was a game going on in the Lounge! The boy stayed near the back of the room, hands in the pockets of his jacket, looking over the gathering of people coolly. He wondered how to integrate himself, when he decided on one fact: the best way to become part of a group was to just pretend you'd always been there.

He walked forward and leaned over the back of the couch. "Ay," he said to no one in particular. "I assume I'm 'nuh right place?" His accent was thick as blood, as were his reddish amber eyes. He gave a look upon the crowd like that of a long lost friend, introducing himself after a trip abroad.

The door to the lounge creaked open as a small, short figure hurried in whilst holding a notwbook to her chest. Why had she decided to come here again? Anima was already starting to regret her decision; already quite a few students had shown up. A lot of them weren't familiar either. She recognized a few people though, Evelyn included. It'd been a bit since they'd talked. Quickly, Anima sat beside Evelyn, turning to look at her and smiling shyly. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. Then again, this is a game of Truth or Dare...

Preston cracked another small grin in their host's direction, taking another sip back and eying the girl who had come and sat down near them, challenging those around her with the contents of her small flask. Wasn't this chick supposed to be a prefect or fucking something along those lines? "Pass it here," the young man mused, unafraid. He took one big swig, his eyes watering almost instantly. Was she drinking straight up gasoline? Shit. "T-that's some good shit... Christ..." He tried to wash the rest down with his beer.

It hadn't taken Liam to grab a bottle for himself, cracking it open and getting comfortable in his spot... Or at least he was comfortable for a short amount of time. He stiffened up a bit once a familiar head of cotton candy came and stole the place beside him. He hadn't seen the guy ever since their fated bear project. "Isn't a gathering like this out of your taste? I haven't seen them pass out juice packs yet." He muttered quietly, taking a sip of his drink.

She perked up the moment she heard her name, seeing a familiar face grab his own batch of alcohol and made his way towards her. What was his name again? Will? The newly-sorted Spring gave him a weak smile, eying the drink in his hands. Truth be told, she hasn't touched the stuff once in her life. The closest she ever got to it were the wine corks her mother let her play with when she was little. "Hey," she muttered back simply, tucking a few stands behind her ear. "Are there always parties like this?"

Jake slipped out of the dorm and into the dark, creeping to the lounge. He couldn't afford to get caught sneaking around, but something like this he'd never miss. And he was definitely ready. Two bottle of Vodka cradled in one arm and some pot in the other. Never leave home in the middle of the night without some goodies, was his rule. Even if he didn't use them, it was better to bring them just in case. Once or twice he practically tripped over his own feet, praying that no one heard his metal leg smack onto the ground. Remembering he had a power, his hand turned into a flashlight. I should've done that ages ago. Jake gave a sigh. Finally reaching the lounge, he opened the door, only to see more students. He recognized some of them, though it was nothing more than an acquaintance. Closing the door, he looked around, finally spotting Jane. "Hey." The tall student said in a calm tone, walking over to her. Lucky for him, there was a spot next to her, so Jake took it before anyone else had the chance. "So, you got something big planned?" He said with a grin, placing his items on his lap.

The door opened yet again, and a short boy stepped into the room. He looked out of place against the group of much taller students. He looked like a child, and no, it wasn't his power. Just back luck on the genes. He wore a Winter uniform. The blond figured it would have been best if he got out a bit more. He spotted a few people from around school. Oh, and that girl he was too short to dance with, ending up with his face in her breasts. Better avoid that.

Chip found a spot next to a red haired individual who was sitting on the floor, drinking alcohol. Giving him a grin, the blond took a seat next to him. There was another boy to the side. "Is it any good?" He gave the bottle a glance. He hadn't really ever drank a alcohol. What was the hype about it? It was dangerous wasn't it? There were plenty books about it. Although, there were some about brewing it. Which seemed pretty cool.

Taking another swig, Will shrugged. "I haven't really been here much longer than you have, so I have no idea." he told her. The beer tasted pretty good, better than most of the cheap stuff his friends had bought back home. "You drink?" he asked her. He didn't figure she did, he didn't know many girls like her that drank. But one never knew.

Jake, and a few other familiar faces. She shot him a smile as he took his seat beside her on the couch. "Always something big." Hopefully there'd be more people slipping in throughout the night, but she wasn't going to sit here waiting forever. Calculated, her eyes moved from one person to another, a mental game of duck duck goose. Who'd be best to kick off with? Her gaze landed on a small figure taking his place by a familiar redhead.

She flicked Preston's bottle with her nail, letting a chime ring out through the room like a bell.

"There's my prince," she said. They hadn't talked outside of their awkward dance at the Winter Formal, but she had to start with someone. "Chip, truth or dare?"

Chip had not been expected this, Jane's eyes were on him. So much for avoiding interaction with her. He bit his lip and gave the group a glance. What would be the best thing to do? What would he be most willing to do? Oh well, fuck it. "Dare." He responded with fake certainty. Someone have mercy.
