Inspiration (Open)

Zane was still a new student at this academy but this still couldn't keep him away from the forest that was near it. He knew that a forest was a place with plenty of natural material, which was required for his gift to work properly, today he would use his gift to create art through out this forest. It would definitely take some time, but he had his day scheduled to get what he wanted out of the way as he wondered within the woods. He walked searching for his ideal material, which at the moment was rocks and stone since he doubted finding metal in a forest especially around this academy.

"Ah, this is perfect." He stated as he came across a section of the forest with three large rocks that one or two people could sit on perfectly.

So he began his process as his right eye locked on to one of the rocks, he began to imagine a bird about to lift off into the air with it's wings raised above it's head. For one observing and hadn't done anything to interrupt his focus, they would see the shape of the rock begin to become taller and more spread out to form the image of this bird. Making note of certain additions, the bottom of the rock become like a platform for the bird statue to stand on as he continued. If he was able to go all the way through they would see something like a pigeon on a small platform, Zane would be impressed with his creation.

Dakota had wandered off from the school; in search for a quiet place to relax and calm her nerves. She stumbled across the forest and a bright smile lit up her face. the forest by her house had always been nice and quiet, perfect for her peace she needed with her power. She eagerly walked in, searching for somewhere to relax. Soon she came across a clearing and stopped short; Is that a.....stone bird? she questioned.

Zane's skill was still at it's peak as he just completed creating a realistic stone statue of a bird, to be specifically a pigeon. His focus was being lost though as a headache took his attention, and his head began to spin a little, actually he began to spin a little and he stopped taking notice of the lone witness. "Well, I didn't think anyone was around." He told her as he had stood still showing a small smile.

"Did you by any chance see me making this?" He asked with a bit of wonder on how much she actually saw and how longer she was actually there to observe. He would decide to proceed from there with her response, and even as she stood there before him, he took in every observable detail into his mind, he could potentially create a replica of her made out of stone with nearly perfect detail at this point. Except he obviously had not seen anything about her that wasn't within his vision. Then a idea popped into his mind as he observed her more and the headache wasn't bothering him as much, at least towards his focus.

"Would it be alright if I made one of you?" He would ask. He didn't care if she saw his method or not.

"I promise I can get it done quicker than you think." He would add if she didn't see how he made it.

Dakota felt the urge to flinch at his words, but she kept herself under control. He wasn't terribly loud; his voice was actually somewhat enjoyable to listen to. She giggled softly to herself when he asked her so many questions; she didn't even know which one to answer. After a quick moment, Dakota decided to answer the last question; the one about making a stone figure of herself. "If you think you can..sure." Dakota told him with her soft voice, giving him a small shy smile.

Zane was pleased to hear Dakota's voice give him permission to create a statue of her, and he started to take notes of her immediately. He took in the shape of everything she wore and would walk to her and circle her. He took note of her view from the side and noted that she wore ear plugs, for some reason he wanted to hit on this detail but he would wait for another time. The observations continued as he continued and took note of her backside and eventually searched for differences between her two sides, left and right. After he finished his complete circle, he turned around to face one of the two remaining large stones.

"Please be silent." He said, not raising his voice or lowering it taking note that even with earplugs, she understood him.

The stone began to raise and take human shape as his right eye focused on it, eventually they very bottom would form a square platform once more as the image appeared in his mind. This statue was going to take some time though as his mind wasn't as clear as before and there were plenty of unique details.

Dakota watched the stone silently; her eyes flicking back and forth from the rock and the boy. She was intrigued as she watched; very slowly, the stone was changing form. This must be his power.. Dakota realized, watching him closely. She took notice that his right eye looked strained and made note to comment on it when the boy was done. She had an excited spark in her eye; this was all new to her. Talking to people, letting others recreate her..it was all new. A small smile found her lips when she realized this.

Zane remained focused and determined to complete the statue without pause or delay, so as he proceeded the face was the first thing to take perfect shape after the stone became the shape of her body. It took noted of her ear buds and added them to her ears and the stone where here hair was a different color was raised a tad bit to show a change of some sort that many hopefully can assume as a color change. Stone never was a good choice, when you wanted to give something colors, unless you of course, painted it.

The next thing to come into place were her arms, as they took the correct shape next to her sides and after that the rest of things were coming together. The final thing after everything was a perfect replica of Dakota was that he wanted to add her name below it, on the small platform, so that those who view it, knew who this was.

"Could you tell me your name please so I can write it in?" He asked her, not letting his eye off the statue.

"Dakota." she answered, her voice nothing but a mere whisper. Dakota took in the statue. From what she could see, it was pretty accurate, but something worried her. It looked lifeless. Just...drained of life, soul, and everything that came from nature. She frowned slightly. Did she truly look like this to the boy, or was it just due to the rock's natural features?
