It was deafening. More than that, it was... "Argh!" She was flattened against the ground by the attack, stars popping in her vision. There wasn't any time to get up. Panting, through blurred eyes, she repeated her last strike, snapping as she loosed more bolts.

He felt another shock, but moved before he could get struck by another one. Alright it was time to stop playing games. Changing up his gift and lowering the frequency, he created a sound that would make it make it hard to see because 19 hertz was the resonant frequency of the human eye ball. It was time to end this, he silently approached the other girl.

Agh... She blinked, and blinked again, but her vision continued to blur and haze, like she was staring through a veil of smoke, where her enemy was just a vague silhouette that she couldn't pin down. Kayla pulled herself onto one knee, clenched her eyes shut, and sucking in a deep breath, smashed her fist into the ground. Electricity flared out, spreading all around her in a web, like ripples in a pond.

Magic was getting tired of feeling electricity course through his body. It was taking a toll on him. With his ext step he stumbled slightly. His muscles were tired, but he wasn't going to give up. He could end this right now. Forcing himself forward despite how week his body seemed he finally reached the girl. Grabbing her head and lifted her slightly, he stopped emitting the blinding sound and chose to emit sound waves into the girls head. He wanted this done and over with.

OOC: From ebs phone. I accept the loss since I won't be able to post much but I wanna make this climactic and close since this is the finale, ya feel? So let's finish sexily. Sorry I can't do something proper, but I'm in the car on someone else's phone. Good tournament everyone. Now let's cap it with a bang.

IC: A familiar sensation. Every inch of her body seemed to resonate with pain, starting from the top of her head, down her face, to the soles of her feet, kneeling there on the ground. Her vision was the first to disappear in a hot flash of pain, a soundless scream vibrating out of her throat as the electricity around her flared, whipped, and then flashed in a violent explosion of light and heat. It changed from a vivid blue to a blinding white, filling the courtyard, bricks and debris exploding wherever lightning tore through pavement. Through the haze of pain and adrenaline, all she could think was that it was no longer under her control. It was a reflex, some natural reaction from the two overwhelming powers in her body combining and colliding.

I won't lose, a voice rang out jnside her head that didn't sound like her own. I won't lose, I won't lose, I won't lose, Iwon'tlose, Iwon'tlose, Iwon'tloseIwon'tloseIwon'tloseIWON'TLOSEIWON'TLOSEIWON'TLOSEIWON'TLOSE-- All sapient thought melted away, burned by the fire inside of her. Before. She'd felt this before. In an evaluation she couldn't remember, all those feelings surged back in a sudden rush of agony and emotion.

She should've died. Electricity coursed through her limbs, muscles that felt like they'd been reduced to jelly, and swatted the hand away with lightning cracking across her arm. Kayla stood, like a puppet on strings, her head lolling back as blood poured from the corners of her lips, her nose, her ears, her eyes. Her pupils dripped away, something like sparks burning in her corneas, turning brown eyes to a blazing blue. Iwon'tIwon'tIwon'tIwon'tIwon'tIwonIwoIwoIwo...

She couldn't see. There was nothing but blackness with flashes of lightning imprinted in her vision, a vague shape in front of her, a silhouette bound together by a field of bioelectricity. She couldn't think. She couldn't feel. She couldn't remember.

Kayla Croft had died. Who could say what kind of internal damage he'd inflicted. She was just a puppet of overflowing synapses and shot signals, brought down to her basest reflexes and instincts as all her power poured out of her body at once, with just a fleeting conscienseness, a fervid mantra looping in what remained of the upper processes of her brain.

She stood, her head bent up toward the sky, as her electricity began to singe and eat away at the fringes of her clothes. Her hat was gone, her hair charged with static, flying up as her hair tie disintegrated to ash, loosing her small ponytail. Coins, bolts, and metal scrap went levitating out of her pockets, half-melted, red with heat, flipping through the air. The air itself was burned, making the whole arena reek of sulfur.

She breathed in, charred air burning her lungs, and screamed. Shrill, piercing, thrumming with electricity, poisoned with rage and agony, filling the courtyard. And then it all exploded outwards. Lightning exploded outwards, in all directions, setting trees and grass alight where it struck, arcing through the air in broad slashes of hot white fire. The coins and tokens went firing up, down, horizontal, shot three times the speed of sound with electromagnetism, with enough destructive power to destroy brick walls or punch through hulls of reinforced steel. Her fingertips blackened, mottled, ash winding away in the hurricane of lightning as her own gift began to burn her from the inside out. Toroid wings of black dust spread behind her, laced with blue and white fire.

Through it all, Kayla screamed, arms spread in rapture.

Round 5: 'Magic' Stein vs. Kayla Croft - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Round 5: 'Magic' Stein vs. Kayla Croft   Round 5: 'Magic' Stein vs. Kayla Croft - Page 2 EmptyFri Jul 15, 2016 10:24 am

At first nothing had happened, and it gave some relief to the winter. It had seemed he had won, but as soon as he heard the small cracks of her gift flaring up again. He wanted to remove his hand an step back to flee from the dangerous energy, but he was a stuck from the dancing light. He didn't know how much longer he could deal with her gift. She did quite some damage to him. Though something was different this time, the normal blue energy turned into a harsh white, and was spreading further. What was going on? Shouldn't she have been dead? Taking vibrations like that to your head, it would have messed up her brain terribly. Even if she had lived she should have been able to function.

He heard the ground breaking up from the harsh gift, though it was hard over the loud cracks from Kayla's gift. Eventually his hand was swatted away, and that gave him the ability to step back. To avoid getting hit slightly more. Then he saw it. He saw the blood pouring from where ever it could on her face. Mouth, nose, eyes, ears.. Signs that she had received a head injury. She certainly should have been dead so why wasn't her body limp on the ground? He watched her move like a puppet. Slight dread filling him from the actions, but he shoved it to the side. It seemed her gift wasn't going directly for him, but at the same time it was still going for him.

Taking a quick step to the side to avoid another strand of electricity that was tearing up the concrete around them. There were way to many sounds for his liking. It was honestly starting to hurt. He needed to stop this, whatever it was. It also didn't help that the air was getting hotter, and starting to stink. Specks of red from various pieces of scrap filled the area around her. It was going to be harder to get to her. Even without the melted pieces of coin, and scrap he was still going to take a great amount of damage.

He was about to move towards her when he screams added to the mix of the noises, causing him to flinch, and halt for a moment. The first thing he got from it was rage, and then next agony. He could understand the amount of pain. Then it all went to shit even more so. Magic wasn't prepared for the explosion to come. The sounds from the pieces of metal firing causing him to want to cover his ears and scream in pain himself, but that didn't happen as one of the pieces hit his left arm, taking a chunk out of it. The recoil from the shot sent the winter to the ground. His right hand shot to the damage spot covering the terrible wound an applying pressure as he screamed in pain. His head hurt, his left arm was useless now. He wanted to give up right then and there, but he wasn't going to do that.

Shakily Magic curled and turned so that he was able to stand. His body wanted to collapse. It felt like his arm was going to fall off, his head going to explode, but he had something to finish. He didn't care if it looked like she was going to self destruct. He had to end this himself. He pushed himself forward using his gift to help him move faster. He didn't care about the heat, or the fire, or her stupid gift, and how dangerous it was. He only had one goal in mind, and that was to kill the girl in front of him, not only to win, but to end the screaming and all of the noises, and her pain to, pain he had caused.

Finally reaching the girl, he released his left arm his right hand red from some of the blood from his wound that was partially cauterized from the heat from the metal shot he had taken. Reaching, he placed a hand on her side and emitted sound waves into her body, not caring about the shocks he was receiving. The sound waves worked through her body, causing damage to the internal organs, and halting them, stopping all the movements and craziness from his opponent. He watched with a tired look on his face as her arms fell, and her body following soon after. All of her crumpling to the ground. He knew that it would end before she truly died, but at least it was silent now.
