Arcane [open]

Hahahahahahahahahaha! Almost immediately Pax doubled over, laughing about as hard as she possibly could. He didn't fall for it, but this was still funny as hell, so who cares? After several moments of laughing, followed by a moment or two of catching her breath, Pax composed herself, still grinning as she looked up at Elliot. "I got you soooo good! You totally believed me and everything dude! That was awesome!" However, before long the smile and the amusement accompanying it faded somewhat. Maybe Elliot believed her too much? Whoopsie. "Heheh, sorry Elliot... You okay dude?" Still... Pax wasn't about to admit that glorious moment wasn't worth it. Hooooly shit... hahaha...

A joke... Elliot pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a low sigh. Keep it together... He should've guessed, but hey, you never knew sometimes... "Uh-huh. Right. Absolutely." He'd only been here a few days, but he felt like this would be one of his more memorable impressions. Great footprint to make.

"Sorry man, I didn't expect you to be a prude or anything~" Pax's tone made it clear she was just teasing him a little more with that comment, and didn't mean it. Not entirely, at least. "So, you aren't gonna tell me your bomb-ass power, then?"

There was being a prude, and then there was... that. "I think I was being pretty reasonable," he murmured, an exasperated grin spreading across his face. Okay, so she'd got him, but anyone would be caught a bit off guard, unless he underestimated just how disconnected from reality this school was. And of course, it cycled back to his gift. She was insistent, if nothing else. "This isn't really the place for it..." he said, rattling off the first excuse that popped into his head. "There isn't really a way to explain it."

"Aw, it's really that hard? You can't even explain it by doing something like... this?" Pax extended her open hand with the palm up, and  began to make a cloud of smoke form above it, before making the smoke swirl around her, wrapping around her arms and legs several times before she let it dissipate. She'd had other ways of demonstrating her gift, but decided to keep it somewhat simple. Elliot had been victim of her mischief enough for one day. "We can go somewhere else if it'd be easier to show me too, y'know. Or you can just admit you don't want to." Pax stuck her tongue playfully. If he wasn't gonna tell her, he could at least say so.

Elliot watched the smoke swirl around her, unflinching. His smile didn't break, but he had a distant look in his eyes that didn't fade even after the smoke seemed to dissipate into the air. "I just don't think it's a very good idea. Sorry."

"Oh, fiiiiiiiiine. I won't make you tell me, dude." The look on Pax's face indicated that she wasn't too disappointed by Elliot's refusal to tell her about his gift. She stood around idly for a moment, looking around a little before looking back at Elliot again. "Hey, are you new here too?" She didn't exactly have any way to tell without asking him, seeing as she herself was new to the academy. If Elliot wasn't new, he could show her around. Otherwise... she didn't know. Whatever, she'd figure something out if he was new like her.

He couldn't help but be relieved by the subject change. "I got here a little bit ago, so I'm still making my way around," Elliot said. For some reason, he would've expected her to be a veteran around here. Maybe it was the self-assured self-confidence. "Initiate and everything. I'm fresh meat."

Oh, so he was new as well. Eh, whatever, Pax could work with that just fine. Hell, this might even be more fun than taking a tour around the school. "Aw shit dude! We should go into that tiny town, man. I heard there's an arcade and shit and there's probably good buildings to climb on!" While she couldn't be sure he shared her love of freerunning, and he probably didn't, it was still a nice bonus. Maybe something to do after they were done at the arcade. After all, that seemed like something Elliot might be interested in, right? If not, there was probably other cool shit in that little town too. Pax half ran past Elliot excitedly, grabbing onto his sleeve as she went past and tugging gently. Comeoncomeoncomeon!
