Home is where the heart is [Mission]

Bleeuggh. Why was it so damn hot? Almost immediately after the heat outside had hit Pax, she'd quickly pulled off her hoodie, tying it around her waist and leaving her plain grey T-shirt visible. Soooo good she'd come wearing short shorts.  Maybe if she got really, really, really lucky she wouldn't melt during all of this. Pax couldn't help but feel the temptation to use her gift to make it look like she was literally smoking hot, but she decided against it, if only due to how many people were around. She stood alongside Ari, cracking a smile at the subtle moving of people who found themselves a little too close to getting a taxi.

Suddenly, Pax let out a loud whistle, before turning her head towards Ari. "That good enough for you?"

Renji stood with his backpack at his side, gazing around the airport. The tall student wore a pair of tan colored shorts and a t-shirt, his usual attire. Looking to the two girls that he was with, he stayed quiet, not really knowing either of them. He wondered why whistling came up as a topic, but then again, they were girls; creatures of the random. Letting out a sigh and trying to not freak out over the heat, Renji wondered when they'd get going.

Hehehe, nice. Pax winked and smiled at Ari as she blew her a kiss. Eager to get out of the scorching heat, she got into the seat behind Ari, not having any luggage to throw into the trunk of the taxi. After all, what would she need to bring besides the clothes she was wearing and her weapon? This mission seemed like it'd be simple enough. Obviously there was a risk of some motherfucker coming to fuck shit up, but that's why Pax had a weapon. Remebering that she was carrying her cinquedea where she was, after Pax was sat down she pulled up her t-shirt slightly, revealing the broad dagger/short sword attached to her stomach. Pax casually undid the small belt keeping it attached with one hand whilst keeping her shirt slightly up with the other. After a moment she let her shirt drop and stapped the blade in its sheathe to her thigh using leather straps attached to the sheathe.

Giving a nod to show that he acknowledged that the taxi was here, he turned away from the girls and gave himself a slap on the face. What the hell was wrong with him? He needed to get his game on! Too hot chicks, one guy, there were multiple ways this could go down, but he needed to be assertive and make it happen. Throwing his bag into the back of the taxi and closing the trunk, he hopped into the back seat next to Pax. "So, you ladies doing anything tonight at the hotel?" he asked in his usual charming tone.

"Dibs on the middle. I'm not about to get bumped off the side." Well, she wasn't. Then again, if the heat persisted sleeping in between two people might be a good way to end up melting. The sleeping arrangement was a crappy thing to get the conversation caught up on though. "Hey Ren, why were you asking? What're you up to, man?" The words were joined with an amused smile, Pax glancing over at him as she spoke. There were a lot of things the dude could have had in mind. Wonder which one it was?

Damn, he felt so stupid. A hotel, what was he thinking? Wanting to punch himself, he tried to hide his embarrassment but perked up when he heard that they might be sleeping in the same bed. Now, Renji wasn't the type of guy to yell "wahoo!" at this sort of thing, and in fact, he usually kept quiet when he was excited, not wanting to ruin his gentlemen-like personality. Turning to Pax, he knew that his question was a bit much. "Ah, nothing. Never mind," he replied coolly, trying to brush away the idea.

"Eh, maybe I'll let you take middle. You're probably too heavenly for me to possibly handle on top of Ren's hard place. How could a girl like me not be overwhelmed~?" Pax did her best to hide her amusement from the taxi driver as she stepped out of the taxi. Seemed like the dude couldn't keep his cool with all the flirting. On account of having nothing better to do, she walked over to the trunk where Ari was headed. Pax normally wouldn't have, but given all the flirting, she made sure to adjust her short shorts and then the sheathe strapped to her thigh then and there. It was just a simple pull up on the shorts and bending over for a moment to make sure the sheathe wouldn't slide around or fall off. That wouldn't hurt anyone, and all the flirting was amusing for several reasons.

Renji was surprised at how freely the girls talked about his wonderful "idea", and couldn't help but let out a laugh. "You guys can sleep where ever you like, I won't mind a bit," he added with a silly grin. Getting out of the car, he grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder, waiting for the girls.

Pax followed close behind Ari, growing somewhat confused when she signalled for silence. However, this only lasted for a second before the foul, foul stench hit her like a wave. Augh, Pax had grown accustomed to the smell of smoke due to her gift, but that was nothing compared to what faced her now. What the fuck was making the horrid stench? She watched as Ari doubled over and started throwing up, and at that point curiosity overtook her as Pax moved beside her, eyes widening as she took in the scene in front of her. Immediately she doubled over, her cheeks puffing up as her stomach contents flooded into her mouth. However, she managed to swallow it back down, wincing slightly as her throat burned. Jesus fucking Christ... Oh shit. Oh shit! Whoever did this could still be around! Adrenaline rushing through her body, Pax quickly reached for her thigh, grabbing her cinquedea from the sheathe it and holding the broad dagger defensively as she slowly moved into the house.

Pax struggled to ignore the stench as it worsened, opting to keep a smoke cloud near her nose. Not only did it smell better in general, but she'd grown used to it and it'd do her no harm. Cinquedea held in ice pick grip horizontally in front of her at eye level, Pax looked around carefully. Maybe someone was still alive? Not to mention whoever did... this could still be around. She sure as hell didn't want to end up like the poor woman who was dead on the floor.

At first he didn't think this mission would be that great, but now it was turning out to be more interesting than he thought, for the girls he'd been assigned with were quite a hoot. Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he followed the two to the front door and wondered why they'd stopped. Easily looking over Ari and Pax, he wondered what the odd scent was that came from inside the house. It was almost... metallic?

Standing behind the two, he didn't make a sound as the horror was unveiled. A woman with her throat slit and blood spewed everywhere lay on floor in front of the students and Renji cringed at the sight. Ari immediately threw up into a plant and he didn't know whether Pax was going to let the puke out or not, so he took a small step back, just in case.

Being a guy, he'd played his fair share of video games and had seen the gruesome news about gangs, crimes, homicide, etcetera, so seeing a lady's throat slit just a few steps away from him didn't have a huge impact of the Winter. "Ew," he mumbled is a melancholy sort of way after a few moments of silence that was disrupted by the sounds of puke being thrown up. Being a gentleman, he usually had a comment for most situations, but dealing with possible psycho killer that could be hiding in the shoe closet was not in his department of expertise.

Not really knowing what else to say or do, nor have any idea of how to comfort Ari and Pax, he decided to ask the obvious. "So... should we call the cops or something? Maybe just hide the body somewhere?"

"I will." Pax's normally playful demeanor had grown very serious, as was evident in her words. Slowly, she began to advance up the stairs, being sure to pay very, very close attention to her surroundings, lest something or someone tried to attack her. She was not about to let whatever the fuck did this do the same thing to her. Although, it probably wasn't going to be easy to deal with whatever, given what it had managed to do. Trying to ignore the fear creeping through her, Pax cautiously followed the blood trail.

Renji gave a simple nod, feeling somewhat stupid for even suggesting that they take this to the cops. Looking to where Ari pointed, he couldn't help but cringe. Who knew what was upstairs and the killer could still be lurking around. The Winter would've suggested that he go upstairs first, since it was a gentleman thing to do, but Pax volunteered before he was able to say anything. "Good luck!" he said with a somewhat goofy smile, although inside he was shaking with fear of what they might discover.

Pax moved to dodge the knife, although whether she did so in time or not didn't matter thanks to Ari's shield deflecting it. She glared ahead at the man, trying to ignore the hand of another presumably dead body. Shit. But there were three people in this house. Elias could still be alive. But where was he? If he was still in his room... they'd need to get past this man, and seeing as he managed to kill both of Elias' parents without sustaining any injury... fighting him probably wouldn't be too smart. Pax tried to look around the room as much as she could from where she was standing, not wanting to risk moving out of Arianna's protection.

Renji followed the two girls, nervous at what was to come. In all honesty, the Winter was totally lost and didn't really pay attention during the mission briefing, which was a mistake on his part. When they finally reached the top of the stairs after a few moments of suspenseful, a loud sound made Renji jump and he stopped, feeling all over his chest for any holes. Still alive, he thought to himself, relieved. They finally entered a room where a guy in a suit sat and the tall student raised a brow. Who the hell was this guy?

Renji watched as the other guy sat on the bed and something about him was off. The guy was creepily carefree, and the blood on his hands that wasn't washed off told the Winter that this guy didn't care if his crime was discovered. Standing still and not saying a word, he decided to see what would happen, but in a closed fist, a quarter that he'd grabbed from his pocket on the way up was starting to charge with energy, ready to throw at any moment. Watching as the guy got closer and closer to Pax, Renji had seen enough.

Barely having enough room to step between the weird guy and Pax, he still did so and looked Ju-min in the eyes. "Back off," the tall student said bluntly and without a hint of nervousness, although inside every muscle was screaming to just punch him.
