Should I Care? (open)

Charise's smile was soft as he shook his head, mostly trying to clear his own thoughts as well as trying and rattle his brain for a proper answer. "The rest of the paperwork won't be for another few days, assuming the school already has the required information. In at least a week's time you are going to take a test that determines what house you'll be working with for the next four years. I just completed my test and I'll be moving out of the unsorted dorms when I have my information. You're not obligated to take the test right away. A good handful of students, myself included, tend to wait longer so that way we feel comfortable with the layout of the school." He tried to phrase it in the least complex way possible.

"Oh well, that's a lot of stuff." he observed. "THen I'll suppose we are off to the dorms, Charise?" he asked with an arched eyebrow. He longed to stretch in bed and take a nap. The drive from home to Beata had been one hell of a journey.

Charise nodded, before gesturing to the pocket with the cube in it. "Yeah. I was gonna take this little guy and put him with the others. Fortunately, the school isn't as scary as one would think to navigate. He gestured for Shaun to follow as he made his way down to where he remembered the dorms being in the general direction of.

"The others? Soon enough they'll be roaming Beata like some bugs." he laughed. "Let's just hope you hang around until I realize what to do myself." Shaun snorted, following Charise throught the corridors, trying to map them out.

Charise giggled at that, trying to remember which right and which left to take. "I have a small box of these little guys in my room. They all have special purposes." He looked back and smiled a bit warmer than before. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere for a while."

"So, one of them is the cute puppy, two guard the door and one wakes you up in the morning? Neat." he said with a sly grin, costing himself the complicate mapping he had nearly done. It all collapsed like a bridge, and he couldn't help but laugh at his unfortunate fate. "Does this place bounce any coffee? I'm starving for aa good frape." he said, wrinkling his nose as if he was trying to track the scent of coffee through the academy.

"Kinda like that, yeah." He chuckled, remembering the box of assorted cubes that had spawned with strange behaviors compared to the rest. At the question of coffee, Charise shrugged. "Unfortunately, not that I know of. The town may have a cafe down there for it, but I don't know."

"Darn it, talking about bad luck." he sighted, trying to remember the bitter-sweet taste of coffee. He wuld be missing that for at least the few days he'd have before making the courage to take a stroll downtown. Now the corridors bore doors on each side, and Shaun wondered whether these were the rooms. "So, any chance we could share the room? I want a cube that wakes me up in the morning, too."

Charise chuckled. "That'd depend on if we have the same dorm number. If we do, then yeah, that'd be fine." Charise stopped in front of one of the numbered rooms, turning to look at the other.

"Yup, that would be it." Shaun said, checking a note he made himself before leaving, with some of the details his parents insisted on him having. He pushed open the door and took in the sight of the simple but comfortable room. "I'll be here a lot of time, but I guess it's okay." he said, looking around. "Anyone else you know hanging around here?"

Charise shook his head. "Not really. Most have already been sorted into the other houses. I think there maybe one other person in the dorm, but we have rooms across from each other, so I never paid them any mind."

"Cool, I suppose. I was never the sociable bub back home." he said, resting his bag on one of the lower bunks."I'm exhausted, Charise, so I hope you don't mind me just dying here." he joked before he thrashed a bit and tangled himself up in the before tidy blanket. "Whoops." he snorted, grinning slyly at Charise.

Charise chuckled, clearly not minding the other being here as much as anyone would expect. He watched in sly amusement as the other got himself tangled the sheets. "Well, this is quite the development, Shaun."

"Thank you." he grinned as he battleled out of the tangled sheet. Shaun found himself amused by his childish behaviour and how he enjoyed talking to Charise and sharing stuff with him. "Charise, you won't believe me but I think I'm stuck." he laughed, worm-dancing on the bed with a sheepish look.

Charise looked the other up and down, coming to terms with this development. "Why, it seems like you have. Here, let me help." He set to work, trying to detangle the other from the blanket and the mess it had made.
