What's Up With This Place? (open pls)

Her hair was not agreeing today. Her clothes were wrinkled. Even her sunglasses felt awkward on her face as she stared at the school with one hand on her hip and the other rested on the handle of her massive hot pink suitcase. "Ugh..." she groaned, staring up at the huge building that greeted Elly. She was excited to be here after hearing about what the school could do for her, but the trip was so long and so aggravating that she couldn't even enjoy herself now. "Where do I even go from here?" She asked no one in particular as she trudged up towards the building, her bag in tow. However, she stopped short of the front door and took a seat on one of the benches, throwing her head back on the back of the seat to simply enjoy the sunlight to calm herself down. No need to be worked up. Not yet, at least. She was starting a new chapter in her life.

Preston hadn't expected much for the evening. Since he'd had the time to kill, he'd figured a breath of fresh air wouldn't kill him. It certainly wouldn't hurt either to go out of his way to his brother's room and drag him along with him, and not for the company. Nope. It had been a decently lazy walk to Rosebury, just to pick up chips and candy and blab about the latest changes to IV training. Nothing exciting had caught his eye until he'd turned the corner, towards the front entrance, spotting a young woman resting in the sun.

Had to have been new. She was cute. Way too young for him, he thought, but not for...

He stopped suddenly, shuffling back for cover and grabbing at his little bro's shoulder. "Paris!" he whispered with a bright grin. "Now's your chance! Get in there and go talk to her!" Pres had sworn to get him some friends. It was gonna stick to the promise, damn it. "Be polite. Say something like, "I'll show you around the school if you hold out this for me.' "

Maybe not those exact words or exact line, but he was a smart kid. He'd get the idea.

Paris at first resisted his older brother bringing him along on a dumb trip to Rosebury, but gave up trying once he realized it was useless to go against Preston once he got his mind to something. Throughout the entire trip the older Andrews would drone on and on about IVs and EVs and what effect they had on certain Pokemon. Paris acted like he was annoyed but secretly he made a mental note to test all of this out once he got back to his dorm.

They continued the walk until Preston came to a sudden stop and pulled him back by the shoulder, and he nearly fell over. "Pres what the he-" he tried to say before his older brother started going off. His face turned a light shade of pink when he pointed out the girl just looking around. "Wh-what? That's a stupid thing to say!" he whispered, irritated.

At first, the girl hadn't been bothered by the noise of others walking around. In fact, she had expected at least some people to be enjoying this weather, particularly the dryness of the air. It was so lovely! What caught her off guard, however, was the sudden low voices that she heard not too far from where she sat. Sitting her head back up and turning to the two boys that were looking in her direction, Elly smirked slightly, raising her sunglasses up above her eyes with the tips of her finger and thumb to get a better view of the two of them. "Uh, may I help you?" Elly asked the two of them, raising her eyebrows at them expectantly.

Ah, shit. Preston hadn't expected to have been found so damned early, taking a step back and leaving room for the younger sibling to get closer to their new acquaintance. Throwing on a quick smile, he slapped his hand on Paris' back, urging him even closer to the girl. "We were about to ask you the same thing, Miss." The words rolled off his tongue, smooth as butter, and he gave his brother the most confident grin. "He was just here saying how he'd love to show a pretty girl like you around." Another small nudge on Paris' shoulder. Wasn't that right?

He shot a dirty look at Pres before being shoved forward, nearly falling on his face. Looking back at the new arrival, he smiled awkwardly. "Like my idiot brother was saying, if you would like, I wouldn't mind showing you around the school. If you need to, or if you want to. You don't have to, if you don't want to though," he rambled, trailing off towards the end. Why did he have to be socially inept? He mentally kicked himself for it as he shot another glare towards his brother.

As the two boys talked, Elly took a moment to look them both over, more or less seeing what she was up against. A small grin stretched on her lips as Preston mentioned something about a pretty girl, not that she didn't know that but it was a bit cute. It got even cuter when the other boy started rambling to himself about trying to ask to show her around. It was easy to tell that he was embarrassed, but she played along with a laugh. "You need some more confidence in yourself!" she told him, pushing her sunglasses back up on her face as she stood up and stretched. "If it's a tour you're wanting to give me, I guess I can make time for one. I don't know anything about this place, so lead the way!"
