It was the tail-end of the final day of classes at Beata Academy, and as per usual in the summer, curfew had been extended marginally from what it had been during the school year.

It was a half-hour to midnight when Anthony pushed through the lounge door, tossing a lighter up and down nonchalantly in one hand. Several other people were already occupying the sofas, and a few were off to the side with a deck of cards, locked in a rather raucous game of 'Cheat'. There was nothing that tasted sweeter than the catharsis of finishing one's last final examination and being able to stay up late, not having an academic worry in the world.. Though, Anthony couldn't say he'd ever really cared much for his grades, or being punctual about due dates and class attendance, but hey, the teachers had climbed out of his ass for the summer. That was worth celebrating.

The Autumn strolled across the room over to the sitting area and hopped onto one of the end cushions, right next to an unfamiliar girl. "Havin' trouble finding some good conversation? Goddamn unbelievable, with a face like your's." He grinned coyly, propping his elbows up on the headboard of the couch.

The girl looked back at him with dreary blue eyes. She clearly was uninterested, speaking with a Dutch accent, "No. I am just fine on my own."

Quinton sat in the lounge, leaning back in a chair with his feet propped up on a table. A piece of candy sat in his mouth as his eyes focused down on the little hand held video game sitting in his hand. He didn't really pay any mind to the others around. For him this just beat sitting in his plain temporary dorm.

His eyes flashed for a second to the boy that had just entered before returning to the video game screen in front of him, staying rather focused on what was going on in the game, not wanting to screw up what he was doing. The boy's hat sat on his head, but he was ready to drop his game the split second anyone tried to steal it.

Riley was lounging on a couch, his head at one end and his feet at another not giving any other student the chance to sit on his domain. There was a pair of dark leather gloves resting on his chest moving up and down with each breath the student took. His eyes were closed but he listened to the people around him, the occasional shouts of "bullshit" and the hushed reminder they were on school grounds and were to call the game "cheat". The faint background music of a video game that seemed to give the room some extra flair as no one brought a portable speaker to play music this lounge visit. A new voice struck the attention of the black haired boy, the voice was low and soft as it slyly approached a girl. Riley's eyes opened and the deep amber-red gazed to the other side of the room towards the approached girl, her eyes were in a glare as she instantly declined the conversation starter. The autumn shut his eyes once again, a stifled chuckled at his lips.

Evelyn was sprawled on a couch, making faces towards her phone and trying to find the best angle for a picture. Her phone was constantly vibrating with texts from her old friends, the ones she had had to leave behind after going to Beata. Old friends, old crushes, old jerks, old everything. It was sometimes weird to think that those didn't matter anymore. To them, she had changed schools, so go study at a better university - it must have been fishy, her grades were some of the lowest in the class, and not only once had she been caught copying from others because she couldn't be bothered to learn. It was better now. No one cared about her past. A new voice disturbed the peaceful rythm of some guy's video game, combined with the vibration of her phone and the voice of the people playing 'Cheat' in a corner.

"Coooooold." she hummed slyly, loud enough for the nearby group to her her and lifting her eyes from her phone to look at the new comer.

Kaitlyn wandered into the lounge quietly, taking her phone out of her back pocket. She was wearing casual clothes- short shorts and a tee shirt from some music festival back home. She settled herself on the couch right next to the girl that looked like she was talking to Anthony, Caitlyn- that was her name. They looked strikingly the same, they both had brown hair and bangs, although Caitlyn was much taller than herself. They even shared the same name, albeit they were spelled differently. "Hey, Y'all." She said, managing a slight wave of her hand and turning her phone on to see who was doing what.

Anthony blinked, but didn't move from his spot. Instead, he snorted softly and withdrew his arms. If she wanted to mope silently by herself, then that was on her. "Alright, you do you."

He stuffed a hand into one of his pockets, and after a moment of struggle, pulled a lean, metal flask out of it. He popped the lid open with his thumb, held it up to his lips, and leaned back. After about two gulps, Anthony lowered the flask and gave his head a rigorous shake. His throat burned as though someone had poured molten gold into it. "Jesus," he croaked to no one in particular, pushing his mussed-up locks back out of his face. "That was definitely worth the dime."

Anthony's eyes flitted around the students present, and then he leaned forward to place the flask on the table in front of him. Everyone was too quiet. It was the end of the school year, and it was time to liven up, goddammit. "Y'all are welcome to have a go at that shit."

Quin looked up from his game when the other boy set his flask down on the table causing a metal clank to sound from the contact on the table. Though his interest was in the offer Anthony made. "Now you're speakin my language."

The boy closed his game and placed it down on the table all while standing up to go take a swig of whatever was in the flask. Whatever it was he hoped it was strong. He picked up the flask tipping it back taking a gulp before placing it down. "Yea I would say tha's worth it." Quin said with a smile. "Name's Quinton, but you can call me Quin."

Looking up from her phone when the metal hit the table, Kaitlyn shut her phone off and placed it back into her pocket. After Quin set the flask down on the table, she picked it up, taking a quick look at it. She took a brief sniff, and finally took a gulp or two. It burned her throat something good, but she knew it was worth it. She set the flask back down on the table."Thanks." Her mother back home had always told her to mind her manners, and although much had changed since she joined Beata Academy, that wouldn't. "I'd say it's worth it." She said, giving the slightest wink towards Anthony.

With a quick swipe, the flask was pulled from the table once more and was soon being tipped back into another student's mouth. "Hmm, rum. I wouldn't peg you for a rum guy," the girl spoke, her eyes narrowing at Anthony as she took another swig. Elaine eyed the dark-haired student for a few seconds before turning to look at Quin. There was quite an... attractive crowd gathering. Tonight would be fun. With a quick smile and narrowed eyes, she returned the flask to its owner.

Her smile faded for an instant as she caught the other girl's small wink towards one of the boys. Her eyes flicked towards Quin once more. He sure was one tall drink of water. The blonde rested her hand on his arm and gave him a sweet grin. "What does a girl have to do to have some fun around here?"

The corner of Anthony's lips quirked upwards as Quin took up the flask. "Spent a pretty penny on it, so it's a damn good thing it was worth it." He kicked both of his feet up on the table and crossed them at the ankles, tipping his head in greeting to the boy. "Name's Anthony. Alcohol connoisseur extraordinaire."

He watched the rum go from Quin to a girl he hadn't spotted before, but before he could say anything else, a slim blonde sauntered up to the table and snatched the drink up for herself. He recognized this girl - They'd shared a math class together during the first semester of the year. Anthony hadn't attended the class very often, however, so he couldn't remember her name for the life of him. "Not a rum guy? Aw, that stings. I dumped out all of my spare cash to get that."

Evelyn peeked from over the shining screen of her phone as soon as the flask touched the table. She watched it curiously, but excitedly, and once the last girl had put it down, she grabbed it for herself and took a generous gulp. It burnt her throat but in a pleasing way. She dropped back on the couch, putting her phone in her pocket.

"And the tigress moves in to strike..." she mused towards Quinton and the blonde that was now all over him. Did alcohool get to her head that fast? Or was she just generaly inclined to trying to get guys into one night stands every weekend or so? "No fair, I'm stuck with mop head." the girl whispered to herself, giggling.

Riley shifted upwards, propping his arms under to sit himself up. By now it went from playful banter to the passing around of alcohol, this caught rileys attention. "Booze on school grounds? Surely we can't all be trouble makers here." A smirk was evident on Rileys face as he slipped his gloves on. Never before has he been in a room where so many careless people, like himself, gathered. "So what're we doing here?" He questioned, eyeing the rum that sat on the table not far away. He had some treats packed away in his jean pockets along with a lighter, but that was for later and he's never really been one to share. Riley twitched as he saw the girl against Quins arm, things were getting heated and fast. It was only a matter of time when the fun would begin.

"Well Anthony I think we are goin to get along just fine." Quin mused. "I'm new here so I hope you can help me get my hands on some myself" His voice hanging on to his southern accent.

As soon as he felt the touch of the girl on his arm, his eyes turned to her, and he gave her a sweet smile.  "Ah well it don't take much, if tha's really what you're hopin for." Quin said to the girl not really caring who heard. Most of them drank the rum, so he figured he wouldn't get in trouble for something like that. He was new and he was already getting girl's attention, that was just fine for him.

His attention turned away from the girl on his arm when another boy spoke up. "I suppose we could play a game like would you rather if y'all are interested." It would be a good chance for him to get to know others around here, and see what other students are like, though he already had an idea so far. But still if he could make connections and get his hands on some alcohol and some cigarettes or something of the like then he was going to settle into this school well.

It was way too late. Elly needed her sleep, but ever since she arrived, sleep was just impossible. Her bed time was at least an hour and a half ago, but even so, she was wandering the halls in her tank top and pajama shorts, fuzzy slippers and hair wrap. An irritated expression dominated her features as she trudged down the hallway towards the vending machine in the lounge. She was hoping that some water before bed would help... something. However, as she got closer, the voices inside caught her attention. "Ugh... people," she groaned to herself before walking in to see just how many people were actually hanging around. Almost immediately, the faint smell of alcohol hit her as she looked from face to face.

Suddenly, the girl perked up a little and a small one-sided grin cross her face. "Heeyy, you guys throwing a party in here?" She asked with a small chuckle as she pushed her way through the lounge towards the vending machine, noting how bored and almost awkward the atmosphere was in the room. "Don't get too crazy now. You guys already look way too excited for your own good." Crossing her arms after pressing the buttons on the machine, she turned to look at the small crowd gathered as the machine whirred behind her to drop the water.
