It had only been a couple nights since Caine had come to the academy. So far, he had learned next to nothing and met only a handful of other students. It seemed that others did not leave their rooms much, or simply had other places to be. Regardless, he found himself alone once more. Part of him longed to go find one of the boys he had met the other night. However, he was still too troubled by his blackout to be around them again quite yet. Both had seemed off after that. A nagging feeling once more tugged at his brain. Why can't I remember? Caine pounded the bed with his fist in frustration. It had become a constant in his life lately. There was nothing that could satisfy the ever present discomfort in him. He wondered if it was a lack of female comfort. Despite still being fairly young, Caine had found temporary comfort in the presence of many girls of his class at school.
Pulling out his cell phone, Caine glanced through the bombardment of messages. So many held questions of where he had gone of too. With a sigh, he threw it back against the already disturbed sheets. He had no desire to answer any of them; he barely knew himself what was going on. There had been a couple from his flings back home as well, but they couldn't very well make it out here to fill the void. Caine was stuck. Running his hands through his hair with frustration, the dark-haired boy shut his eyes and threw himself back against the pillow. Sleep would never come. He knew that. His blue eyes fixed on the ceiling above. A lack of desire to do much in that moment kept him from seeking out others. He had no intention of moving. It was only a few moments before he heard the unlocked door creak open and he sat up swiftly. There, against the light that streamed through the door, stood a girl. Now, this looked like something to keep him busy.
