| It'd been a feat in itself to try and get him there in once piece without tripping over any stones or running into any walls, especially in the space area that Roseburg was made up of, with tons of trees and hills and potentially dangerous things to bump into, but somehow, someway, they managed. (Even if Richard could have just phase through any obstacles, she supposed, his blindfold might have slipped off. And they couldn't have that! "Alright, you're ready, yeah?" Lynn gazed up at him, absolutely beaming as she placed one hand on the store's entrance door. "You can take it off now!"
She pushed open the shop door. A small chime of a bell rung through the air she helped guide the young man, inside. "Surprise!"

| Trying to get here was the scariest thing Richard felt like he had ever done. It wasn't that he didn't trust Lynn to get him here, but he had no idea what lay in his way. Part of him was also worried about accidentally phasing through something and ruining the surprise. So, it took them forever to get where they were supposed to go as he sprawled his arms out and around him like he was crazy just so he wouldn't run into anything. He was relieved when they finally stopped and he heard her say that he could take off the blindfold.
"Oh good I was--" Surprise! As Richard took off the blindfold and blinked the bright lights out of his eyes, he paused when he saw the door open before him and into a pet shop. Barks, meows, and tweeting of birds filled his ears as he stepped through the door, looking back at Brailynn with a goofy smile on his face. "You did not just blindfold me the whole way here to bring me to the pet shop. Are you serious right now?" Despite the chuckle that escaped him, the guardian was a little indifferent to coming inside. He had never really had pets growing up other than the typically goldfish won at a fair and he was sure his sister had a hamster at one point, so pet stores were a mystery to him. However, Lynn was determined, so he was definitely going to play along.

| Lynn flicked her hair over her shoulder, eagerly glancing over the room, admiring the many different pets. A surprising amount, considering the location and all. "Of course I'm serious!" she smiled, rolling up the blindfold and stuffing it away into her pocket. "This is about to be one of the best days of your life, I promise you!" And Lynn never broke any of her promises. It was like part of her code, or something. Their lives had been so stressful and over-the-top lately, and there were some nights neither of them could sleep, especially after everything that had happened to him... They needed a new friend around.
She reached over for his hand, curling her fingers between his and dragging him further inside. "Hello!" she called out, to whom she wasn't exactly sure. "We're here to adopt - um-"

| The grin on his face only grew at Lynn's excitement. Even as she took his hand in hers, Richard couldn't help but chuckle at her, watching her with an ever-growing joy. However, it was when she walked in and started asking about... well, nothing did the guardian let out a solid laugh. "We came all the way here and you don't even know what you want? I thought you'd have everything planned out before we even walked in the door!" He said before taking a quick glance around them. He really had no clue where to start. Although, the thought of getting his first pet was quickly becoming a lot more enjoyable. | |

| Having been doing his regular mid-day routine, which included feeding some of the animals their lunch, Louis perked up when he heard the bell of the jingle of the bell that hung on the door. Closing the lid of the baby bearded dragon enclosure and setting down the head of kale that he'd been ripping up for them, the tall student wiped his hands off on his pants and made his way over to the entrance. Turning the corner of a shelf, he caught sight of a girl and a boy, the girl looking ecstatic to be here.
"Hello! Welcome to the Roseburry Pet Shop!" Louis called with a wave of his hand as he made his way a bit closer to them. He recognized the two of them from his days as a student, but didn't know them personally, which he guessed didn't really matter, seeing that he didn't really know too many people to begin with.

| "Have a little faith in me, Richard." She said with a smile that was borderline smug. The former Spring had alright thought this all the way through. They couldn't get a bird, because they were too noisy and they had enough trouble getting comfy at night. Fish were boring. Lizards and things got lost around the house, in her experience. Cats, well, she'd already had Sage and he was troublesome enough as it was - constantly wanting in and out of the apartment to run over to Dublin's house to visit his mate or whatever. If a best friend was what they needed, there was only one option.
Brailynn waved back eagerly as the shop keeper finally showed himself. "Hi, thank you!" she called back, pushing the formalities quickly out of the way, "Can you take us to the puppies?"

| As the employee walked up and greeted them, Richard smiled back, recognizing him from the school. It had been a while since he had seen Louis around, but it was good to see that he was doing what he enjoyed. Without much hesitation, however, Lynn quickly asked about the puppies. "Puppies?" he repeated under his breath, a little surprised as if it were the last thing he was expecting to come out of his girlfriend's mouth. What was he supposed to do with a puppy? He always enjoyed dogs... when they belonged to others. Now, though, they were about to get their own. He didn't have a problem with it, but the guardian was fairly clueless on how to take care of one. "Yeah, ah... What kind of puppies do you have?" he asked, immediately invested as he turned to Louis. | |

| When the girl asked about puppies, Louis's face lit up. Not many people in Roseburry came in looking for larger pets such as dogs, which was really unfortunate, for he'd just received a litter of five husky pups a week or two ago. Being able to communicate with animals made it much easier to manage the little fluff balls of constant excitement, but even so, they were beginning to become bored with their surroundings. Like kids asking if they were there yet on a road trip, the puppies seemed to constantly be asking and wondering when they'd be adopted and go to new homes, but unfortunately all the shopkeeper had been able to reply with was hope, which seemed to make the little dogs even more restless, as if they didn't believe him. Now, one or two of them might get to go to a new home, which was honestly a relief for Louis, seeing that he'd have one less puppy to look after, even if it meant saying goodbye to his little friends. "Right this way," Louis replied and began heading to the back of the store. "I just got in a litter of Husky puppies," he added over his shoulder in reply to Richard's question. Reaching the back of the store, the tall, blonde boy stopped by a door and reached for the handle. "Just a heads up, they love visitors, so be prepared to get jumped on," he cautioned them jokingly. Turning the knob, Louis opened the door just enough for the couple to slip into the room. Once the two of them were in, Louis followed and quickly closed the door behind him, not wanting to risk letting any of the rambunctious little pups out to rampage through the shop. Inside the door that they'd entered was a small room with benches lining the back wall of it for people to sit on. A potty mat sat near the back, teething toys littered the ground bellow, and within no time, four husky puppies had scampered over to the newcomers from where they'd originally been wrestling in the back corner, jumping up and down as if wanting to get up to their height. "New humans! Play with us! Take home!" Louis listened as they barked and howled, though Brailynn and Richard weren't able to hear their exact words and instead just heard high pitched barks and yips of excitement. "These are the puppies," Louis chuckled, looking down to the litter. He would've prepared them to not act so spastic if he'd known that people would've been stopping by, but then again, the chance that they actually listened and even remembered what he said was pretty low. Watching the puppies continue to greet the students, it struck him that someone was missing. There were supposed to be five pups, but only four were jumping around bellow him. Peering over Brailynn and Richard, the shop keeper noticed a little brown puppy sitting near the back, watching as her litter mates wasted no time in getting to know the visitors. While Louis didn't like to give animals names when he knew that they'd leave someday, he had to give the puppies temporary names in order to be able to address them, so he'd taken the liberty to name the little female, Lily. She was the only reddish-brown puppy of the litter, which made her stand out a bit from the other, more dull colored dogs. She watched intently, not in a shy sort of way, but more cautiously curious. Louis knew that this puppy was definitely one of the more laid back ones, which he understood since she was the runt and usually didn't like to roughhouse with the boys of the group, seeing that they're "games" usually grew to be pretty viscous. Shuffling past the two students, Louis walked to the back of the room and crouched down, a warm smile on his face. "Don't you want to say hello to the visitors?" he spoke softly, meeting her gaze. "They no like me," she whimpered and looked down to her chubby, puffy, white and brown paws. "Why do you say that? You haven't even met them yet," Louis chuckled in reply, tilting his head. Sometimes he just didn't understand puppies and their ways of thinking. 'Of course they'll like you, you're the cutest one here,' he wanted to say but kept quiet. When she didn't reply and refused to make eye contact with him, by which he assumed that meant that he'd won this "argument," Louis scooped her up into his arms and held her in a comforting sort of way that puppies liked. "I'll take you to meet them and stay by you the whole time, alright?" he added and let out a chuckle when she lifted her small, fuzzy head to give him a lick under his chin. Walking over to the couple with the puppy in his arms, Louis stood behind the small mound of hyper huskies. "I'd like you to meet someone," he started. "This is Lily. She's the runt of the litter and the only brown coated one too," he informed them and held out the puppy for one of them to take. She weighed barely anything, which wasn't surprising, but compared to her brothers, holding her was like holding a leaf. "I only name her because I need to be able to address her, same with all the other pups, but if you end up being interested in one, feel free to change their name to what ever you'd like," he added with a smile. | |

| Prepare to be jumped on, he said. The corners of her lips twitched. Perfect.
All too eager, Brailynn side-stepped behind her willing victim, holding tight to the sleeve of his arm and ushering him on. Was she really supposed to believe that Richard had never once had a dog in his life? Ever? She wasn't even sure that was possible. How could anyone resist their pure, wholesome adorableness? Once the door to the room had opened and the small bundles of fur had gone all out to attack the pet-store keeper, the Guardian found herself physically holding her breath in to avoid an unnatural squeal from escaping.
"She's adorable!" The blonde near-sang, beaming up at her boyfriend and nudging him out to pick up the small doggo. "Isn't she?"
