| The day was bright, the bird were singing and the bakery was as lively as ever. Bushy greens lined the store and big crystal windows displayed the freshly baked goods that were prepared that morning. Everyone seemed to be dressed in bright colors for the fall season, blending in to the red, yellow, and orange atmosphere. Except for one girl, whom stood in the shadows with a dark blue parka-like jacket, jeans, and a beanie hanging out of her pocket. Her long blackish hair was bunched up in her hood, and her hands were pushed into her pockets as she acted like it was the middle of winter.
She was waiting for a friend? Yes, a friend. They were to meet at 2:00 and out of nervousness the girl had arrived at 1:30, regretting the decision because of the weather. It was probably somewhere in the 70s, temperature wise, but that didn't give her an excuse to not freeze her ass off. They were about to eat the coldest treat as well, but what wimp would back out on the best thing in existence. Olive stood on her tip toes searching the streets for Barry, anxious to get inside.

| Barry wore a sweatshirt and jeans along with his converse even though he didn't really need the sweatshirt. His hands were dug into the large single pocket at the front of his sweatshirt as he made his way through Rosebury towards the bakery. Edward had made sure that Barry met up with Olive. It kept the green-eyed speedster out of the dorm so he wouldn't sulk away the day. Barry spotted the girl standing on her tiptoes in front of the entrance to the bakery and he made her way over to her. "Hey Olive," he said simply as he approached her. He still wasn't sure what had made him say yes in the first place, yet here he was, albeit because of his brother. | |

| The summer put her feet on the ground when she saw Barry approach. She smiled at his voice and waved back in an happy-innocent kinda manner. Olive looked the boy up and down, his outfit screamed out cozy but back-off. She gave a shy smile as she looked back up. Out of laziness she tried to communicate mostly with eye contact and hand gestures. Her eyes traced the door of the bakery, then to Barry, and back to the door. She gave her hand a quick spin in the air before pointing to the entrance, a way of saying "shall we?".

| Barry nodded as he headed for the door. His manners, which had been instilled in him from a young age, began to kick in as he held the door open for the mute girl. He brushed back his hair from his face with the hand that wasn't holding the door back. It really was getting long. It almost reached his shoulders at its longest length. Ed had told him numerous times to get it cut, but he refused. | |

| Olive dashed through the door, her hair blown behind her shoulders at the sudden impact of wind. She stood near the door waiting for Barry to follow and took a deep breath in. The sweet smell of the bakery and ice cream was masked by the dark roast being blended in the back. Olive smiled, cafes were always one of her favorite places to just sit and relax.
Grey eyes darted back to Barry, she placed herself by his side and hooked onto his arm with her own. Her small height made her tug his arm slightly, but she held on for balance glaring at the wall-menu as if it held the answers from her. Olive bit her lip in anxiousness when she realized who's arm she was holding onto, the red blush forming on her cheeks as she remembered a couple walk by - as she waited for Barry - doing the same thing. The autumn tried to play it off as she pulled him to the glass containing the ice cream. She pointed at the pink one labeled "strawberry" and looked at him with pleading eyes, her fingers still gripped to his hoodie arm.

| His eyebrow raised as Olive's arm looped with his, causing him to have to lean slightly to the right so she could actually loop her arm with his. It was weird having someone do that, especially since he had spent so much time avoiding people. Before he could say anything he was pulled closer to the glass between them and the ice cream. He almost laughed out loud at the girl looking up at him with almost unproportionally large eyes. "I take it you want strawberry?" he asked rhetorically, looking up to the worker. "I guess we'll have one cup of strawberry and a cup of..." he began, thinking of what he wanted, "chocolate, I guess." | |

| Olive graciously took her cup of strawberry ice cream and snatched a glassy-orange spoon from a 'clean spoons' cup. Her eyes closed as she took a bite of the creamy goodness, imagining herself humming from the joy. Olives eyes locked with Barry's as he received his own cup o' goodness. What was this feeling? One of happiness? It had been a while since she had made a new friend, the only friend she knew she left behind to attend Beata. Her hand subconsciously slipped into her pocket, reaching for her phone to set a reminder. The small girls eyes darted up and her heart dropped as she patted herself down. 'No no no no no' She couldn't have forgotten her phone on a better day. She took in a deep breath as she remembered her company, 'Play it cool Hawkins, play it cool.' She smiled in his direction, gripping the spoon once again. How to continue... | |
