Sound Manipulation - Inheriting the gift to manipulate sound from his father, Inigo is able to use the periodic disturbance of the medium in a variety of ways. While he passively has hypersensitive hearing, he can also change sound by mimicking, distorting, warping, silencing, and echoing it, along with other transformations. By creating vibrations with sound at low frequencies, he could deal near-fatal damage to his opponents and using the vibrations to cancel out other attacks.
Notes:
- Because his power’s superhearing cannot be turned off in any circumstances (unless he mutes all of his surroundings), he has to make up for the amount of energy his gift uses by constantly eating. Inigo always has some sort of snack on him, though he feels self-conscious about eating so much in front of others.
- He has an unwarranted prejudice and bias against the Blanks, believing them to be weak and useless to society. As a result, Inigo is unnecessarily passive-aggressive and almost cruel to them, despite his kinder demeanor to others.
- One particular way he utilizes his gift is by amplifying the sound of his own heartbeat, though it doesn’t seem to be particularly useful at the moment. His power has difficulty traveling through the ground, thus, he has trouble creating shockwaves or earthquakes without having his gift strengthened somehow.
- Inigo and his brother were adopted by Mason and Adeline, originally being the children of Adeline’s cousins from a fling. However, due to Soohyung and Yuna being unable to care for the children (they were somewhat young and made many mistakes, but they were determined to keep the children at first), they were taken in by Magia and raised as their own kids. Wolf Transformation - With the same powers as her ancestors and siblings, Bianca can shift into the form of a wolf, either partially or fully. Her gift seems to influence a dominant part of her personality, as she acts more feral and aggressive compared to the average person. It doesn’t seem to bother her, though, despite her apparent lack of control.
Notes:
- Bianca has an extreme obsession with blood - she prefers hunting for her own food and biting others to taste their blood and her own. It leads her to pick fights often for no reason outside the adrenaline and bloodlust. She also favors foods and objects that are red, especially the same crimson red of blood (her favorite fruit is an apple). Her berserk and bestial instincts are both an advantage and disadvantage, but she embraces it a little too readily.
- In exchange for enhanced senses in her hearing, smell, taste, and reflexes, Bianca has a smaller spectrum of color that she can see. Similar to a wolf’s, she only has two color receptors; her ability to distinguish shades of grey and see in the dark is much better than the average person’s. Her field of vision, though limited in binocular vision, has a wider field of view as well.
- The youngest of the Lupo octoplets, making her the least likely to succeed and become the family heir. As a result, she was often neglected and left aside. Bianca seems to favor hanging out with outcasts and shadier groups, leading to her unsavory tendencies.

Mind Control - The power to make others completely subject to Judith’s mental control. By doing so, she can command them to do whatever she asks them to, putting the person into a half-conscious hypnotic trance that will make it difficult for them to recollect what exactly they were doing. It requires that the other person verbally respond to the words that she has spoken in command; the response in question can be a denial, approval, or anything in between.
Notes:
- Only just recently arrived to Beata, having avoided going to the academy for personal reasons. Judith was then forced to attend by Aster after she caused a scene by demanding that the staff of her favorite store hand over all of their merchandise for free (to which she did end up getting everything).
- Because she has not trained her power very well outside of using it for petty things (haggling others, asking for favors, etc.), Judith isn’t very aware of the extent of her gift. She has said things such as “you can’t like chocolate anymore!” to others, causing them to dislike the sweets, and a variety of very small issues.
- Her cameras are custom-built and extremely expensive, modeled after the Leica Special Edition cameras. They are capable of shrinking to the size of a dice and being remote-controlled, using electromagnets to stick onto metal surfaces in discreet areas and maneuver around them. Through her personal blog on Esper, she posts a story called The Looking Glass under the alias Alyss where she spreads gossip and rumors from her information gathering.
- She’s basically those extremely rich study-abroad Asian students who can buy literally anything they want. All of her fortune comes what she inherited from her deceased parents (who had an extremely hefty sum left in their bank account).

Air Manipulation - Blessed with the ability to manipulate air, Aine becomes hypersensitive to his environment, being able to ‘read’ the wind. This hypersensitivity extends to his sense of touch and hearing, giving him a large field of vision and the ability to seemingly predict others’ actions along with quick reflexes that act practically on auto-pilot. Despite his small stature, his gift significantly boosts his physical abilities (which he wouldn’t be able to do without it), allowing him to lift large objects, enhance his speed through propulsion, crush/explode objects, and land powerful strikes. His range over his powers means that he can manipulate air molecules through endomorphism to produce images similar to illusions, ionize the molecules to create a small control over electricity, or completely disintegrate materials (including people) with powerful winds.
Notes:
- One of the few surviving artificial children made under Agrona’s personal instruction, Aine’s powers are extremely amplified to the point where his body is very frail and sickly in turn. He has a passive shield created by his gift that automatically repels all projectiles that would have otherwise made contact with his body. Aine also uses his gift to change how his voice sounds; it’s hard to tell when he uses his actual voice.
- All of the other Children of Agrona are female, but due to a mishap in his ‘programming,’ Aine was born biologically male while retaining a very feminine appearance. This mistake in his programming means that he will never develop secondary sexual characteristics, causing him to look forever youthful with a high-pitched and childish voice. He seems to stop aging by the time he appears to be around 15.

- Ironically enough, his health issues are primarily respiratory problems. He has caught pneumonia twice (one of which was primary tuberculosis pneumonia), severely weakening his already weak lungs, and regularly has trouble breathing. Currently, he has a latent TB that will become active as miliary TB as his body continues to weaken. It doesn’t seem like he can be cured, and his life expectancy is no higher than 20 or so years.
- Though he was taken in by Flynn and Marian after he was recovered by Beata, the pair did little to care for him, regularly engaging in gaslighting and verbal/emotional abuse due to his eerie resemblance to Flynn’s half-brother and mother. After some time, Flynn threw Aine into a foster home where he was cared for by Sven Riegel, adopting the elderly man’s surname. Sven, being a former Sofia alumni, suggested that Aine enroll at Beata Academy, giving the artificial child directions on how to enter the city eventually. He is completely aware of his origins as an artificial person and is aware of others like him to an extent.
- He is not overwhelmed by the average Electricity Manipulator, being immune to it through insulation, but against Cailin Andrews (who is on the same level of power as him because of her status as a Daughter of Agrona), Aine could find himself overwhelmed if he isn’t careful.

Wish Granting - Easily summarized as the ability to make others wishes come true, Ha-neul could, theoretically, make a person’s wildest dreams become reality. However, as all things do, his wishes come with a difficult price, making it so that anyone who tries to use his gift must be careful about their wording. As he is unable to grant his own wishes, he’ll find himself granting others, though the gift may manifest itself literally or completely backfire. At the moment, he can only grant three wishes per person.
Notes:
- Though his family is filled with many gifted, Ha-neul is the first in several generations to be a wish granter. As a result, his family over-abused his power at a young age, vying for a chance to attain fame and fortune. Ha-neul was constantly tossed around from household to household, only for his relatives to view him in disgust with the hellish consequences of his gift. Few wanted much to do with him by then, and so, he was tossed to live with his great-grandparents in Rivers Pointe.
- He was a part-time model and actor before coming to Rivers Pointe because of his attractive appearance. With several musical talents and exceptional acting skills, Ha-neul garnered a respectable fanbase in the few works he participated in throughout the years before subsequently quitting everything once his older brother passed away.
- It’s possible that he may have made a wish in the past himself with his gift, desiring that fewer people noticed his presence or that they would ignore him if they saw him. Ha-neul is a natural wallflower as is, and his more somber and quiet nature makes him easier to overlook compared to the average person.

Gestalt Form - The ability to merge with other beings. By merging his consciousness with someone else’s, Mikhail is able to utilize said being’s powers and abilities. Because he is young, Mikhail is only able to merge with one other person, and as of current, it’s irreversible.
Notes:
- Mikhail’s original body is in an unknown location that he can’t recall. In the present time, he is merged to a young Liberi student named Soren as the dominant personality, utilizing Soren’s demonic gift to keep up the illusion of what his original form would look like. His original body is currently in comatose, and the two of them merged together at the age of 7. As he can’t display his gift in any form, Mikhail is incorrectly considered a Blank by his fellow peers.
- A complete crybaby. Mikhail is very easily startled, which those who pick on him often take advantage of. His fear of practically anything and everything (including his own shadow) has led to him cowering in the corners and staying as far away from people as possible. He rarely uses his voice, so he has a lot of difficulty speaking and forming words. It doesn’t seem like he’s found anywhere that he’s particularly comfortable with due to his irrational paranoia, outside of his fish tanks.
- Nobody is really sure where he got the money to buy all of those fish. The money is most likely the money that Soren gets from his affluent parents, who are rarely at home due to their line of work (they’re day traders and professional photographers), thus spoiling their child with material goods. Very few people have noticed that Soren is currently absent because he lives by himself, besides a butler and maid.

Demon Physiology - Soren is able to use the abilities of a demon, taking on demonic features as a result. His specialty is illusive skills, allowing him to seemingly shapeshift (albeit, very limited shapeshifting). He also has access to intangibility and to reduce himself into a smokey-like wisp to travel around as, with increased durability. Soren is also able to manipulate demonic energy to create constructs, blasts, and barriers. Later on, as he comes to master his gift better, he will gain access to a much more demonic and monstrous form that, while very sluggish and difficult to grasp sanity, has the benefit of regeneration and boosted capabilities in his attacks and durability. No matter how much he tries to master, he will be unable to access shadow manipulation, hellfire, fear inducement, mediumship, instant-death, and many other skills that a fictional demon would generally have.
Notes:
- Currently the dormant personality between him and Mikhail. An outburst from his gift (due to lack of control when he was doing something stupid) caused his consciousness to severely weaken and demand rest, leaving his body open for Mikhail’s consciousness to travel to and merge with. He barely flickers into existence at the moment, without being much of a presence at all. Sometimes he will awaken very late at night, but only for a few minutes at most. Soren isn’t able to communicate with Mikhail most of the time because he’s not awake.
- Soren’s demonic features are a result of his instability causing him to temporarily morph into his more powerful Nether demon form and force him dormant afterwards. Currently, he has no way of retracting them, but he will be able to eventually. They affect his ability to think more rationally and clearly, making it difficult for Soren to properly distinguish between friend and foe; this is subconsciously affecting Mikhail and bolstering his already extreme paranoia.
- The closest he has to hellfire is when he travels around as a smokey-wisp; it slightly burns the skin of anyone who touches it, but that’s it. His common demonic traits (personality-wise) is a difficulty in relating to others or understanding them, generally working towards his own self-interests, and a more complicated difficulty in recognizing or feeling emotions. He is completely capable of kindness, to an extent, but as he gets older and gains access to his Nether form more readily, Soren will lose his capacity for emotions and rationality if he overabuses it, turning him into an easily-manipulated puppet.
- A large part of his gift’s ability to generate demonic energy is concentrated in his eyes, thus giving them unnatural pupils. The reason only one of his eyes is currently affected is because his consciousness is dormant, severely reducing the amount of energy he can generate and his gift overall. Even after he awakens, it will take a long duration of time before he can reach full-power.

Psychometry - Kaoru has the ability to obtain historical memories or sensations of beings and objects that she observes. In doing so, she is able to learn the creators, the users, and what has been done to it; with people, it gives her a general history of their lives. Her ability lets her learn skills from other people (including language), understand the mechanics of something instantly, figure out connections & process them quickly, and understand someone without the need of a long-term relationship.
Notes:
- Although she originally lived in Hakone, Japan in a family of Blanks (who have no history of gifts), Kaoru moved to Rivers Pointe recently when she met a former Beata Alumni (Tabitha Weiss) who deduced that what was believed to be her natural genius was actually a gift. Her relationship with her family is very strained in the first place, and because she wanted to live independently, she severed her ties with them as well.
- Even without her power, Kaoru actually has photographic memory and efficient logical reasoning. It was born out of her love for mystery novels/games along with a long-running tradition of detectives in her family (that her father broke). She had temporarily been an apprentice under her uncle before moving to Rivers Pointe. In the future, she wishes to be a detective as well.
- Her gift is currently only usable when she traces a V over the object or person with her finger. Though it was a nervous habit (and a habit she uses when thinking), it came to be the way to manifest her powers. On a person, she typically prefers tracing it on the surface of their palms. Kaoru isn’t very fond of using her gift for much of anything though, even if it would make her life easier.
- Extremely high metabolism with an iron stomach. Eats way more than someone of her stature should be eating without having any real issues, though it’s more often than not, stress-eating. She’s a closet gamer on the inside, though she rarely has time to play nowadays.

Phantasm Manipulation - Having been able to talk to ghosts and spirits from a young age, Linh mastered her gift during her tutelage at Beata Academy. As she is able to create, manipulate, and destroy specters and their energies, she can simply strike fear into opponents or induce chaos. Alongside that, she can act as a medium for spirits (who temporarily take over her body to speak), temporarily materialize their forms into a physical form to touch (or turn others into a non-corporeal being), and freeze others with ectoplasmic energy. The ectoplasm she can control allows her to create whatever she needs out of seeming-thin air and the constructs tend to bypass reality (her umbrella is created in this manner, making it more durable than it actually should be).
Notes:
- Because of her connection to ghosts and spirits, Linh is able to see them in a sort of blueprint vision. It’s the only kind of sight that she is capable of. Otherwise, she is completely blind unless she turns herself into a non-corporeal being temporarily (which she has never attempted before). Linh relies on ghosts and echolocation to traverse around as she feels that relying on a cane would be unreliable if she accidentally lost it; the ghosts aren’t always very kind, though.

Time Theft - Similar to Life Force Absorption, Time Theft is the ability to steal or give ‘time’ to others. In other news, Adeline is able to heal or reverse wounds by giving more time, cause rapid (de)aging by taking/giving time, have a general feeling of when someone will die, and increase a person’s life-span. Her gift extends to reducing or accelerating someone’s sense of time (while they still move normally) and stealing/receiving other people’s strength. She has to use herself as a middleman to transfer between two living things that don’t include herself; it is impossible to transfer time from a tree to a dog without first transferring to herself first. Her own time can be given to others as well. Currently, her life clock reads to roughly 17 years and 9 months.
Notes:
- For the most part, Adeline rarely ever uses her gift now. If she does, it’s to heal wounds that the children at the Daycare have gotten or to heal withering plants. There were occasions where she used her powers to alleviate fevers and sickness, but she makes sure to replenish her time by taking some from the surrounding trees. She feels slightly guilty about making leaves fall earlier or ruining the plant cycle, so she mostly refrains from using her gift (and is generally happier without it).
- As of current, she is one of the higher ranking members in the Tempo family due to a devastating event initiated by Agrona’s Force that eliminated most of her relatives (one in which Mason was involved in the operation); this is in spite of the fact that she was generally looked down upon because her mother was someone that wasn’t gifted, leading the family to shun her. Because of her rank, she needs to keep her last name and the hyphen is there as a compromise.
- Her eye color being gold is a result of her gift. Naturally, it’s violet, but the gold is another physical indicator of how much energy or time she has left. They become violet if her time clock falls below 5 years and the intensity of the gold varies depending on how much time she has left.

- While Gray was a member of Agrona’s Force, he frequently took part in Oneiric Slaying and Dream Absorption, where he would ‘eat’ people’s dreams and store them away in jars to summon as attacks later on; the effect it had on people included victims’ inability to sleep, loss of creativity, or complete loss of sanity (which sometimes led to suicide) because they got either plagues of horrific nightmares in return or a void of absolutely nothing. This is because he has absolutely no ability to completely replicate or copy someone’s dream to take as a storage. - Gray doesn’t consider himself as worthy enough to be an official part of River Pointes’ authorities, leading to his status as an outsider. He still feels a lot of guilt over his personal involvement against former Beata alumni and does what he can to help out the gifted community.
- Gray has shown no interest in getting married or having children, let alone much interest in having sex. Why he has a daughter, he isn’t sure (as he doesn’t remember doing anything of the sort), but a former AF colleague confronted him and told him that the girl had the same gift as him before dropping her off as his problem. Albeit reluctantly at first, Gray adopted Cecilia.
- Extremely high tolerance of Blanks because he works with them so frequently.
