What a beautiful day in the neighborhood;

Wren stood next to the lake's crystal waters with a determined look on her face. The way the trees filtered the sun through it's leaves was perfect picture atmosphere. It was just so magical to see certain spots shimmering with the suns warm glow. Not to mention the way the dew sparkled everytime it was brushed by the sun. Thus, Wren stood firmly, snapping away on her camera. She was bound to get dozens of awesome shots at several different angles.

She looked almost silly, leaning sideways, bending over, laying down, you name it- just trying to get the perfect picture. Only, as she pivoted to get a different subject to shoot her lens picked up facial features. Wait, no, that was a person. Gasping slightly and dropping her camera so that it rested around her neck, she took a step back. "Hi there." The Brit greeted, looking at the person uneasily.

Walking into the forest Adrian found himself at a lake. He hadn't been around the school for long so he was still kind of lost. Looking around he noticed how beautiful the forest was whether it was the local plant life or if it was the way the sun seemed to shine off the said plant life Adrian would never be able to tell. While he did admit that the forest was quite beautiful it still needed one thing, a beautiful girl to go with it.

Maybe it was just Adrian's personality that made him want there to be a beautiful girl in everything but he couldn't help but smile at the thought of there being a pretty girl looking out at the lake. Seemed like his thought became a reality when he saw someone looking out at the lake, it looked like he/she were trying to get a picture of something.

Going up to see what exactly they were trying to get a picture of or who was taking the picture, the person turned and looked back at him. Well question was answered it was a girl and a cute one at that. Smiling Adrian returned the greeting, "Hi, My name is Adrian and yours?"

Wren felt slightly uncomfortable being so close to him. Call her cliché for judging a book by it's cover, but he seemed like a sexist boy. The kind of guy that saw women as a disposable toy, like women were just needed to look pretty and bear children. Just the kind of personality that ticked her off every time. If there was one thing she hated, it was being perceived as incapable of being more that just another "pretty girl". Not saying that he was this sexist pig; like I said, it was wrong to judge a book by it's cover. But he just rubbed her the wrong way, just by the way he looked at her.

"Wren," She chirped reluctantly, before mentally shaking her head clear. She was being ridiculous, no one could be that bad. You couldnt just judge someone by a quick onceover, it was just silly. The blonde was being over dramatic. Returning his smile, she turned her attention back to the lake and studdied it's soft wave lick at her flip-flops.

Adrian scratched his head at Wren's response. Seemed she didn't like his presence was it because of how he looked, was it because maybe she was a loner, or maybe she heard about the time the girls from the locker room found his secret stash. Thinking back he realized that there were quite a few reasons someone would dislike him. Putting his hands in his pocket he looked into the water where he saw his reflection. Touching his reflection ripples began to form on the surface.

Looking up he noticed that Wren had turned her attention to the lake. Scratching his head he asked, "So what brings you to a place like this?" Adrian was somewhat surprised why he asked that in the first place, most times he would have asked the girl for a date or even ask for a kiss but for some reason that seemed abit predictable. It might have been his first day but Adrian wasn't going to try to be too predictable.

Looking over at Wren he gave a smile trying to look less perverted than usual, though he still looked pretty much like a pervert with a semi-awkward smile rather than a warm one but still gave a carefree air. "Is it just to take pictures?"

It's not that she disliked him persay, but she was very reluctant to trust. First impressions meant a lot to her and a bad one could twist her view on that sad person. They could be a wonderful person, but if they were a jerk the first time she met them she wouldn't think of them as that much of a wonderful person. Because if they were a jerk once, they could be a jerk again. People were people and nobody was perfect.
The blonde looked up at him at his question and she arched a white-blonde eyebrow high. The way he said 'just to take pictures' as if taking pictures was a little leisure activity. Ha. "Actually, I co-write the school's newspaper. I'm here to get a picture for an article I'm writing." Wren told him happily, running her palms across her jean shorts. "What about you? Don't think I've seen you around." She knew basically every face in the school because of her job with the newspaper. The thought of a new student was exciting, more interviews for her. As she looked up at him, she tried to avoid look at his smile. It looked so unnatural on him and it made her feel slightly uncomfortable, but she forced a smile at him anyway.

Adrian continued to hold up his smile and shrugged. Seemed like it was Wren's job to take pictures and he guessed she enjoyed it. Adrian wondered what articles did she like to write and wondered would she write an article about the panty raid that happened the same day. Laughing on the inside he knew that, that probably wouldn't happen. Scratching his head he noticed that she was looking at him strangely, which was understandable since Adrian had what people would call a serious face. His smile usually threw people off.
"Well I am new around here," Adrian said easing off the smile abit just so it wasn't beaming at the poor girl. "So, what kind of news do you report stuff like school sports, staff stuff, or just random stuff the piques your interest?" Adrian asked looking down at the water dipping his fingers in the lake playing with the water. Watching his image slowly disapear from the water.
